How do you figure that he's shorting them, and not merely buying them buying them back?
If he was buying them back, the number under the link would be getting lower.
And the number has been getting higher - so he is selling the bonds onto the market.

Check the PI bonds: https://glbse.com/api/quantity_trading/TYGRR.BOND-PI
This number has been getting lower, from over 1200 - means he's buying back these.

Hehe - I knew that Goat hasn't yet done the last thing that would surprise me.

Can you believe that since Pirate announced the close down of BS&T, Goat has been putting more TYGRR.BOND-P bonds on the market?

If you check the number of bonds out there, which you can do using this link: https://glbse.com/api/quantity_trading/TYGRR.BOND-P
... you will see that now there are 28107
Few hours ago there were 28101
Two days ago - if I remember well - the number was below 28000
On August 14th there were 27895 bonds (which you can see in the div history table)

So he is shorting his own bonds and at highly undervalued price.
We can only hope that he has enough BTC to backup such an investment, after Pirate eventually pays out.
But he should have, after he screwed up the TYGRR.BOND-PI investors so smoothly... Smiley

72 hours(3 days) passed since payment due? I very much doubt that.

You better learn how to count time... So far, you're only trying to screw up your investors.

i requested a withdraw... its in the threads...

Yup for 5k, I remember goat mentioning it.

Nothing is wrong with Goat's reputation here. He did exactly what was advertised, in allowing people to profit off of Pirate's ponzi scheme while keeping their assets liquid. This meant you could use these bonds as a gambling device to get pirate-interest, but then sell them before the (inevitable) default announcement.

+1

And man, I didn't expect buyers were that eager in the end.

I got incredibly lucky and sold all my TYGRR-BOND.P after holding it for about 6 weeks. (~40% interest on a small holding). I sold on Aug. 8th after getting a bad feeling.

I was fully aware that it was a ponzi the entire time. (you can check my post history).

My model for Pirate's ponzi predicted a default sometime from Aug-Oct this year.

The thing about ponzi's is that they always default SOONER than even the most bearish expect. This is because by the time everyone has heard of them, there is no money left. If you have heard of a HYIP, chances are you are already in the endgame/sucker stage, simply due to the required growth pattern.

My GLBSE coins are now all in YABMC, BITBOND and PUREMINING, and I recommend these GLBSE assets, because they seem at least somewhat legit. Although I expect a 30-50% chance of getting burned on these investments.
You should go take free money from MNW. I hear he's giving away amounts of up to 250 BTC per person.

Goat, wouldn't it be fair (and good for your reputation) to pay back face value+ whole interest pirate paid you back?

by closing this asset you'll prevent people who wish to get out and the ones who wish to acquire this debt at wholesale price.  if you close trading to it and then if pirate makes it right what will happen with this bond?
you motivation wanting this debt to equal 0 is understandable, but let people figure out for themselves if they want to keep it or sell it at discount

He's already said that he won't close trading:

I will not ask nefario to lock trading of the bonds.

Could you post your BTC&ST reimbursement address? , so we could know quickly if you have been paid, without having to be constantly reading the forum, I'm telling you to get some quiet sleep with an alarm;)
just relax and have a life
what is going to happen, will happen - we have no control over it.
enjoy what you have control of - don't set the alarm Smiley

Why not? I would be glad to know what nefario thinks about your approach, that you are so sure of, but you don't want to ask for. You don't say why - so probably because you are so modest. Good for you Smiley

Assuming pirate send me the coin. If pirate does not send the coin I will not buy them back. Please read the contract if you disagree. This bond was not at all insured.

Of course, I thought that was pretty clear. All I'm saying is, do not close trading or pronounce it "dead" until it is 100% sure that pirate has sailed away. As of now, he has said that he'll try and pay back by Friday.

Just to make clear the bond is now dead or closed as BTCST has failed to send me coins with in 72 hours or make interest payments.

Pirate has defaulted.

Assuming pirate will ever pay in full I will pass along the weeks interest and the face value of the bond.

Again this bond is now dead and to make clear if pirate does not send fund the bonds are worth 0 BTC.

Thank you.
You are welcome.

And for as what we know, he hasn't defaulted yet - he just doesn't pay out the deposits.
We cant do anything about it, except waiting.
But it doesn't mean that you should use this incident to earn more money from the business.
Just say what the other PPTs said: whatever is returned will be distributed back, since I don't do any convoluted bookkeeping.
Is it so hard?

Assuming he does pay it will stay at 1.068 BTC   I'm not even sure what rate he is paying as it is after the 20th.

The bond is dead and IMO it really should be locked down on GLBSE but that is up to Nefario.
Unless pirate's contract with depositors say that he can change the terms at any time without notice, then he has defaulted because he has missed an interest payment.

Regardless. This bond is not "dead". As long as the is the possibility that pirate returns depositor money, it has value.
