As I said, he updated the accounts' balance with last weeks interests, so if he does pay out there will be interests..
All BTCST accts, or just Goats? And where did you hear about this?

On IRC he had said that he would pay the old rates until the time the exact hour the account was closed and coins returned.

Also, please keep the bond alive for now: it allows people to trade the debt around and serves as a good indicator for the market value of pirate debt.

IIRC that was a couple days ago.  Nobody has even heard from him since last night, I think.

Assuming he does pay it will stay at 1.068 BTC   I'm not even sure what rate he is paying as it is after the 20th.

The bond is dead and IMO it really should be locked down on GLBSE but that is up to Nefario.

After rereading the contract I will buy back at 1.068 except for piotr-n's bonds. I will just refuse to accept his BTC from pirate  Grin

That's great.
Just don't forget to also refuse accepting my interests Grin

Do not worry, if pirate sends me coins you will get them bought back at 1.068 like I said above assuming he pays in full with interest.

Well, technically it should be 1.068 + this week's partial interest as well. If you're paid back as promised, of course.

The only thing that I know is dead for sure - is your reputation.

I used to think that you were a fair guy, even putting my words for you.
But now I know that your entire business has been about squeezing every possible penny from every possible sucker. Never really kept your word.

And selling the PI bonds at 1.50+ - it was just the masterpiece Smiley
Of course, after pirate pays out, you are not considering a refund for the overpaid insurance, because why would you - right?
In fact, you are even trying to steal the interest from the poor suckers...

From TYGRR.BOND-PI:

No word from pirate about the interest and it has been about 4 days since I requested my last withdraw so it looks like a default for this bond.

1 BTC buy wall is going up soon. The BTC are now on the way to GLBSE.

Thanks.

If you're calling one a default, does that make them all a default?

Seems kind of odd given that we're still within Pirate's announced wind-down period.

Is there something we're missing?

Hi Goat,

Pirate has said that he will pay out the old 7% rate for the final payout (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-savings-and-trust-is-closing-101339 line [2012-08-17 16:24:27]).  Will you be passing this on to your pass-through accounts?  Thanks!

Yeah, I would guess I would buy back at 1.068 for the last time if he pays out the interest. Seems fair.
thanks for the info and buying back at 1.068 when the time comes.

I don't know why everybody says that the bonds will be worth 1.0 next Tuesday

According to my knowledge, if Pirate keeps the promise, each bond is worth at least 1.068 BTC on Tuesday.
Pirate said that he is still paying the 7% interests - so why are you talking about 1.0?

People have waited one week, their money was (and still is) exposed at BS&T default - they earned the weekly dividends and there is no reason why they should give them to Goat.
He earns anyway 0.02 BTC from every bond he issued, plus almost 3% from all the interests the bonds pay - and all this has been risk free for him.

So mind your business people, because for me talking about 1.0 today is like shouting out: "Goat, we love you, please screw us more by taking the last 1900+ BTC of interest entirely for youself!"

I agree, 1 btc was a bit inaccurate. Though I have to admit, I'm more concerned about whether he'll pay out anything at all than whether he'll pay divs for this last week. :-)

The pass through bonds are now essentially bets if pirate will pay back or not... it's a pretty equilibrium, interesting...

Yes, can be some last chances high profit Wink

And there are currently 5917 asks at 1.066 BTC or less - so Pirat could actually get some risk free money on it, if he only wasn't so reluctant to open a GLBSE account Smiley

If pirate knows hes going to pay back he should buy every single bond out there for massive profits  Cheesy

There's around 1500 shares of BOND-P with an ask price of below 1.00 and they have an average price of ~.95 BTC.  So he could make a profit of about .05 BTC per share, minus fees, or about 73 BTC.  Not even worth his time, IMHO.

In the contract does not say that anywhere, all the benefits of the new purchases are not deposited in BTCST, nor will generate no interest if Chaang Noi repurchase at 1btc he would lose money.
What you see being traded are just bonds which already are deposited in BTCST.
They are just changing owners - some people obviously dont want to wait for BTCST and then the PPT to close down next week.

Makes sense ...
Then to invest in extra high risk!!!
