How much do you guys think they will make from this fight ? I mean don't you think it all depends on that. First of all if there is a lot of money to be made from it and Mayweather tries to keep it to himself than Pacman won't fight.

Last time they did a fight there was a ton of lawsuits going around afterwards. Mayweather making sure he is his own promoter and making every single penny possible from the seats that were sold to payperview type stuff every single dollar went through the company he built for this, which means Pacquiao will have to sign with Mayweathers company for one fight and agree on terms and if Mayweather realizes the fact that this will be one of his last fights because he is getting older and if he prefers retiring before losing any fights than he will definitely try to get most of the money. Don't know how they will share it and how much but that seems to be the key.

Maywearher never change his style since this is who bring him up to 50-0 record. All he should have to do now is improve his right arm strength to avoid get injured by paquiao punches because I'm sure paquiao will get revenge by knocking him down through his speed and power.

@Janation, of course Manny has chances to beat Floyd any day, but 50 have tried already and already failed. I don't see anything special about the Manny of today that we can say that he can still has the tools to break Floyd's defense.

Fighters like Manny usually lost their speed as they age, its a sign that a fighter is really past his prime. Good example is Roy Jones Jr. When he was at his prime, damn, his reflexes and hand speed are terrific. But he went as high as HW division and won against Ruiz. But after that, he deteriorated and suffered KO's after KO's because his speed is no longer there. As Rrtt has said, Manny's best defense is his offense, so if his speed and offense suffered, then its going to be difficult for him to win against a defense like Floyd.

But its going to be interesting to see him against Broner though. Careful match making will make Manny looks like he still got it, but as a boxing fan, I see that he is already no longer the Manny that we witnessed and he is way past his prime.

I agree though we still don't know what may happen. The chance of Manny Pacquiao winning is not zero but the possibility based on the past fight is favoring Floyd Mayweather.

I think Manny Pacquiao wants to prove that he can defeat Floyd since we've seen a lot of rematches from the rivalries of Manny Pacquiao in his prime. Also, we can't say that he is past his prime since he can still fight like he does, and Floyd is also the same since their age are close to each other.

Even if the fight happens during the prime of their careers, i think Mayweather still has an edge over Pacman. Floyd is a defensive monster, you can hit him with power shot once and he will adjust so could not hit him anymore. Pacquiao is an offensive gem, his defense is his offense. He is reckless and that is the fans want for their money and that is how Manny sells his fight.

They have different ways of promoting their fight, Manny through his offensive skills inside the ring while Floyd by his PR skills outside the ring and they were both successful on their ways. My thought is that Floyd we retire for good with an unblemished record.

Regardless, I do believed that Pacquiao vs Mayweather 2 will happen next year. As reported already in this thread, it will be Pacquiao vs Broner and if Manny wins that fight, he will take on Floyd. As far as Floyd fighting Khabib, I don't think it will generate interest in the public and Khabib is not that a big star as compare to Conor so the money is not enough for Floyd to pursue that fight.

His record tells his performance for his entire career and that's hard to beat. Imagine you have been fighting and you got zero lose?

That is exactly what I have been saying, if he is a great boxer and has never been beaten that means he is fighting with the right style and right moves. If he is fighting with the right style than why hate him for it.

I understand if you watch him outside the ring you can see that he is not really a good person and definitely had troubles with other famous people and have said terrible things about them but hating him for his fighting style is just plain out ignorance.

Hate him for what he did to his wife, hate him for what he said about women, hate him for what he said to other famous people but you can't hate him for what he does in the ring because it has been working perfectly for him so far. You can criticize the judges that gives him the win when other fighter had a chance of winning but you can't criticize him for winning the way he knows how to win.

That won't happened for now.
