Mayweather is most likely the favorite but Pacquaio

For most people yes, not for me.
Did you see this weekend's fight ? Pacquiao was in great shape and he's still crazy fast, so explosive.
On the other hand, Mayweather hasn't had a real fight for a while and I suspect that if this ever happens, Pacquiao will want it more. I believe he'll be much more aggressive than he was in the first bout... plus there should be no shoulder issue this time.

There's a video circulating the net about this two boxers where allegedly the fighters met in Tokyo Japan for a concert and Mayweather started thrash talking Pacquiao and you can hear on the video Mayweather saying he will come out of retirement this coming December 2018 to fight Pacquiao for the 2nd time. Mayweather comes out as an early favorite for this match.

Nah I wont trust mayweather on this one because he talked to much, sometimes he cant walk what he talk but if ever this rumors will occur, Im still gonna bet with pacquaio even though mayweather had the better odds but if the fight wont happen in any US soil, pacquaio will certainly win this match.

I read in our local news paper The Daily Inquirer that this fight is still on and the both camps are still negotiating if fight will be in London or in Russia. Las Vegas is still an option according to the news but top pics on who will host this mega fight is still on. On the coming fight of Manny with Broner, it is known that Floyd will be there to support Broner.
Still a rumor but the possibility to push through this figh is high. Age is just a number for Pacquiao and I’m sure he will not retire yet because its his passion to fight. But hopefully a clean fight for these 2 fighter, and no more conditions in favor to Mayweather.

Me too, Floyd will not take the risk of lossing his undefeated record to Manny. Though talking about money, if the two fighters fight again for a rematch then it would definitely break all records.
Maybe a yes, maybe a no. It is a yes in a sense that people are still expecting that the rematch (if ever) between the two of them will be now on fire and action packed so more people tend to buy tickets resulting to a solf out. On the other hand, their rematch will not be a blockbuster because some of us already knew that there's a chance again for a boring match which is only full of runs and clinching.

Well, it still depends on one's perspective but if I will be asked then I go for "No Rematch" because the level of excitement for their match is quite low compare to match ups. For sure that many spectators will get disappointed in the end and I don't want it fo happen.

This should be the right thread to discuss about the possible upcoming fight of Pacman as it seems this 2 will again face each other.
OP, please add some pictures so it will be more attractive and may some additional information like news or rumors with corresponding source, lastly put a poll for voting between Manny and Money.
Its a race against time for both fighters. They are not getting old, if they will do it, they better do it this year. Floyd Mayweather is turning 42 this coming February 24 while Manny will turn 41 on December 17 this year. During the fight of Manny vs Broner, we can see his speed is still there but, the power of his punches are not as vicious anymore. If last night we see Manny at the age when he is fighting Barrera or Morales, Broner could have been knocked out. Floyd speed is still there as we saw him on his last fight with the kid from Tokyo Japan, but Floyd is not known as a knock out artist, he is more known for his defense.
Hopefully this fight got materialized much earlier if incase both fighters will agree for the rematch, given out the reason of age it might be a boring fight if both fighters will not be able to showcase their skills due to some concerned with their bodies limitations, this two fighter always have its own ways to entertain their fans, Pacman loves to punch while Floyd always good in defending his side.

This fight should happen, I don't want to see them fight at age 50, they still have the speed and power, so they are still fun to watch.
Mayweather is most likely the favorite but Pacquaio has been defeating his opponent during the rematch, I will be backing on Pacman for this fight if this will happen.

Nah, do not expect a good fight with mayweather if you are looking for an action OP. Mayweather style is ddifferent though we know he's good at running and hugging. He is known for this and probably would rally a change from boxing and running. The fight of century was so boring so if there is a second fight then I will not going to watch it. The result is clear and that mayweather will going out ot be a winner. He's punches are calculated. He is not a knock put artist but a scoring artist.

Manny Pacquiao is a senator of philippines and has a millions if not billions of assets so i guess this is more enough for him to just chase a money than dignity,he has enough wealth just to let his moral gone by letting Mayweather punched him or even go for fight and be lose.if theres one thing Manny wants before retirement that is to prove the whole world of his capacity and skill that in some point in life Filipino will disgrace a american boxer giving the first lose of his entire career..and i wanna see mayweather lay on the floor with just a punch from Pacquiao lol
There's no issue with Manny as we confirmed in his interview after his fight that he is always open for negotiating a rematch with Floyd, the only question is that is even Floyd willing to do the same? IMO, I don't think so because as we look on his face a while ago, he doesn't have any reaction after Manny said those lines including the tease from the crowd.

I'm not expecting a rematch anymore but still hoping. I'm more excited if Manny will fight Maidana or Crawford.

That's is right true and I hope after the fight of manny and adrien broner tomorrow the both camp many and floyd rematch 2 have an final announcement.
There's a big possibility that this fight will happen again soon. I have a strong feeling that Floyd will come out of retirement as he gave chance for a young and rooking boxer on Japan to box with him.

And it's all about the money, as long as the deal and shares is favorable to him I'm sure that he's going to bite to make this fight happen again. There's big money in boxing and his name is still making a noise, if a news comes out of surprise that this fight is just looking for a schedule it would be amazing.

The reason why Pacman will not fight Marquez is not about retirement or anything else, it is money related. Think about it, Pacman could make over 100 million dollars just from losing to Mayweather whereas they would have hard time getting 10-15 million dollars to the loser in a Pacman vs Marquez fight. That shows clearly which fight will happen, Mayweather holds all the marketing things in his hand, he is his own promoter which means all the money will go through Mayweather to begin with, they fought once and money wasn't an issue and Mayweather paid Pacman what he was owed and that shows a trust between them.

If they do a rematch I am sure the purse could reach as high as 500 million dollars if they can market it very well. That is unheard of any sport in the world. Russia could be fine but I think Las Vegas is the perfect place for things like this.

Here's a nice write up from an interview with Marquez and answer the question why he will not fight Manny anymore. Its not about the money, its more of a legacy. He got lucky on his last fight with Manny and knocked him down, that's already in the history books. Why ruin that legacy because of money? Manny tried it already and a lot of promoters already tried to offer different amount for the 5th fight to happen, but Marquez declined and would rather keep his legacy intact as the last man who knocked Manny down.

@btc_angela. It is the fight business. I reckon greed is the motivation for everyone involved, from the fighters themselves, their managers, trainers, agents and the promoters and everyone else who will make the money.

You're 100% right, everything is really evolving. Maybe when I feel in love with the sports in the late 80's-90's I'm not aware that fighters and managers are in for the money or maybe it wasn't obvious at that time, or I just watch to see who's really the best pound for pound.

Hey I’ll agree gone are the good old days when Boxing was a sport, where we would see the Knockouts, boxers actually turning up to fight it out in the ring. In current scenario these guys will try to hurt each other with their barbs, speak a lot outside the match, and when they’re in the ring they put up a lame show. It’s pertinent to note that all these fights are more about brands getting their exposure, rather than people getting their entertainment from seeing boxers fight it out in the ring.

He tried to chase Marquez, but JMM doesn't want any part of Manny, he is satisfied with a KO win already. And what you said is right, at this point of his career, Manny is only looking for money fights and Floyd is the most viable option.

Yes, Vegas should be the place as the money will also keeps flowing all over the casino there and everyone would be happy.

We are in the modern world and we are well informed now with the help of the internet, especially the social media.
I even think that there are a lot of things in the past that until now we believe is wrong.
The modern age makes people smarter and now we know the world is corrupt, so is sports.
