.. i also don't think Manny Pacquiao is interested in facing Floyd Mayweather.

He want a rematch definitely. As he mentioned, he can't retire with peace of mind with that defeat.

Pacquiao says Mayweather the reason why he can’t retire yet

The reason why he don't speaks about the rematch thing in any of his speaking engagement is because it will harm the promotion of his upcoming fight with Broner*. But he throw up some statement about that in his recent interview.
So now there's 2 matches that haunts Manny Pacquiaos mind. A rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez and Floyd Mayweather. Amonth the 2 matches, I would rather watch a rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez than bore my self watching Floyd Mayweather run around the ring to avoid a slugfest with Manny Pacquiao. But that is if Juan Manuel Marquez will come out from his retirement which is very much unlikely to happen.

It will probably be something simple like avoiding punches all game and probably will end in decision in favor of Mayweather who probably avoided the most punches.  It will be boring, it will be highly skilled fighters but it will be boring.
Lol, boxing is all about hitting and not to be hit in return. Mayweather is a known defensive fighter and putting him against a offensive fighter like Manny Pacquiao will simply offset the boring aspect of this match. Though they are not on their prime anymore, these two boxers still got followers and will watch this match.

I guess the fight between Manny Pacquiao Vs Floyd Mayweather this December will not happen since both fighters are booked on different days.
That accidental meeting between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather is nothing but just testing the waters.
That's right, time isn't enough for Manny to have two fights with a short monthly allowance. Training, practicing and preparation is insufficient for him. As far as I remember it should be around 6 months or more.

And with their meeting on Japan, I think its not a testing of the waters but its a coincidence where they have their own negotiation to meet there. If ever someone who's close to the both of them was them, he just faced the two for a talk or they already talked about this fight but still has a lot of details to talk to.
This is right, where fight preparation wont really be that enough for a short period of time but if its really being settled it can still be set out.Eventually they are both fighting another fighters instead.
This do signify that it can still possible to bout on a short time.In short, that was just pure coincidence.

We would really like to see the rematch but they do set out into others either their own decision or their promoter.

Even when Floyd Mayweather already made an announcement that he will not fight anyone on new years eve in Japan, I still think this Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 is not going to materialize. There's not enough time for both fighters to practice or prepare for the fight and Manny Pacquiao  already made a decision on who will he face next. i also don't think Manny Pacquiao is interested in facing Floyd Mayweather. Manny is not mentioning this fight in any of his speaking engagement.

I still think it won't be anything like people expect. Both fighters are aging really fast and in a profession like boxing age really matters, I honestly believe any young 25 year old fighting another young fighter would definitely give us a better show of action, maybe they won't be as talented but at this level "talent" means not getting punched whereas any boxer fan out there wants to see Pacman and Mayweather punch their faces hundred times.

It will probably be something simple like avoiding punches all game and probably will end in decision in favor of Mayweather who probably avoided the most punches. It will be boring, it will be highly skilled fighters but it will be boring. I wouldn't pay to watch it at all, I will either stream it or I will download it later on to watch. May not even work that much, just take a look at highlights on youtube and it will be enough.

It will not happen this December for sure because Manny Pacquiao had a scheduled fight with Broner though Floyd's supposed to be circus with that Japanese kid had been cancelled. But definitely these two boxers will meet in the ring next year i think. Floyd is shopping for MMA fighters and lure them to fight him in boxing but i guess he can't fool anyone this time.

I do not understand why they need to have warm up fights before fighting each other.

First Pacquiao declared that he will fight someone else before fighting Mayweather, kinda like a warm up fight and get ready probably and now Mayweather declared he will be fighting in Tokyo, japan during Christmas time I think and it is not even looking like boxing which is really shocking considering the only thing Mayweather is good at is boxing.

Both of them look like they are either trying to warm up before a big fight or more likely they want to both get their names heard once more to remind them they are still in this business and also make a little bit more money before getting into the biggest rematch of history. I really hope both of them loses their warm up fights and that drops the interest in their fights, we need new people to watch and keeping these people around really just makes the fighting world boring.

So if Manny Pacquio will fight Adrien Broner on Jan. 19, 2019 see discussion here Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner
And Floyd Mayweather will fight Tenshin Nasukawa on New Years Eve see discussion here Floyd Mayweather set for New Year's Eve fight in Japan

Exactly. Something to hype up boxing fans wanting to see these two oldies go at it again. Honestly i don't think another bout would be appealing for most fans. We've seen the first one, and there's no reason why the result would be different the second time around.

Anyone interested opening a Pacquiao vs Broner though? I'm sure that everyone wanted to share his own opinion but doesn't want to derail this Pacquaio vs Mayweather 2 thread.

Yes there will be like a match first before the expected bout between Mayweather and Pacquaio. That fight will be the basis if it's still reasonable to have a rematch for these both fighters. They called it "warmed up" match and it's usual. But these kind of warmed up match must not be taken easy because it's important.

Basically the target date is by next year. Let's wait for the progress.
I guess their meet up on Japan lately is part of the negotiation and they aren't just airing what the talk is all about.

We may or may not see this fight but everything is possible with this re-match. But now the talks for this match will be on mute since Manny is about to face a different fighter. And we will be surprise with their announcement regarding Pacman - Floyd after the result for his match against Broner.

The discussion is now getting off-topic to what the topic is.  Undecided

I don't know how Mayweather will get lower though. Like he spends a ton of money for his living style and that is fine as long as he makes money but Dude is 41 years old, normally people do not fight until they are 41 years old, even if he wins couple more games he will have to start thinking about retiring and no matter how much he makes on this fight even if its a billion dollars which is impossible but lets assume even if that happens dude has to learn how to manage his money and his lifestyle has to change to suit his retired income.

He can't really make money anyway outside of the ring so he will have to save up or invest wisely in order to make decent living for himself or he will be poor by the time he is 60 years old. Pacman at least wants to get into politics and he can make money there.

Just another fight so Mayweather can get another huge payday.  I don't think Manny stands a chance if they go through with this rematch.  It's just another pointless hype fight like the Mayweather vs. Mcgregor fight we had.  I think Mayweather will end up like Mike tyson and blow all his money on fancy cars, mansions, and girls.
In this time of their careers, i think both Manny and Floyd are going to do a rematch for the money. Mayweather needs money in order to sustain his lifestyle in American soil which is very high while Manny needs money to finance his political career in the Philippines. Boxing for them is no longer a showcase for their talent but a source of money for their individual needs.

Is that really what you think it is? Maybe you got a point but let's not also forget that boxing is in their veins and they will really miss fighting in the ring. The money they get in boxing is of course the return for the excitement they give to the fans.

Of course that what they'll tell people, that boxing is their life. But we all know that this point in their careers, it's all about getting as much money before they retire. Well i don't see anything wrong with that anyways. These two still have a fight in them but clearly out of their prime selves already.
