I don't know what is the actual reason that PayPal doesn't accept Bitcoin but I hope soon they will. On that way they will atract even more users, so I hope this will change in the future.

The reason is that Bitcoin in potential can wipe out PayPal as a company since Bitcoin makes PayPal obsolete in every shape and form. They know that very well.

Paypal will never accept bitcoin because they are so different in how they operate.
They are sort of like rivals in a way. Shocked

PayPal is stil prety conservative money service with rather strict rules. I think that at the moment Bitcoin just don't fit into they system and policy. They are also obliged with different AML policies and Bitcoin isn't that well regulated plus anonimity that Bitcoins gives. But I don't think that PayPal has something against the Bitcoin, it's just not yet the time to embrace it.

I have read an article or post here that paypal is considering to partner with bitcoin someday.  So someday we really do not know if it is frue or it will ever happen.  But I think the reason is the rules, policy, or agreement encompassing the paypal rules.  Maybe bitcoin is too private and the paypal cannot retrieve the money once sent to the recepient.

I also do not know why they still don't accept it, but I suppose soon they will. Bitcoin is getting more and more popular in the world and on the internet especially. I see many sites began to accept bitcoin as payment, so Paypal will not skip that for sure. Maybe already now they are providing something in their system to start to accept bitcoin as well.

As of now PayPal does not accept bitcoin as a receiving payment. I think if this could be happen it becomes more convenient and easy way in sending/receiving money vise versa.

As what I have heard before, PayPal is considering of using Bitcoin to be one of their payment option but using third party companies. Maybe PayPal is just taking it slow since Bitcoin is not that known, no assurance of its legal status worldwide yet, and of course the price stability (price swings). Well, if it will be implemented by PayPal, I think there's no worries and it's an advantage for those who uses both PayPal and Bitcoin.

PayPal isn't accepting bitcoin because average people would figure out PayPal fees are ridiculous in comparison to bitcoin. People would dump PayPal & use bitcoin exclusively.

Bitcoin is a major threat to PayPal in the long run.
but if both can cooperate, it would generate an exceptional service. paypal and bitcoin users will make one new service. This will be a great new media. I believe the use of digital money will be increasingly widespread use in the world.

the last news that i heard from paypal is they will integrate bitcoin with their payment gateway, but i am not really sure that i understand what is the meaning. maybe you can visit paypal homepage.

i think if paypal integrate with bitcoin, then it will be good news, we can maybe trace the transaction or we can know who is the name which buy our bitcoin or something like that.

I hate doing bitcoins and exchange it to PayPal funds. They are doing it already for a couple of months already but compared to normal wallet the fees converting to PayPal is much higher. So until the fee becomes the standard fee like blockchain does then I will use bitcoins and channel it through PayPal. But there is no need for me to do that anymore since we can convert directly our bitcoins to fiat currency through a third party site in our country.

May I know the reason why does Paypal do not accept bitcoin as payment and/or deposit?! I know that Bitcoin is known widely on the internet so Paypal should accept it as a mode of payment since their forte is through the internet. I hope that someday, PayPal will acknowledge Bitcoin and put it as one of the mode of payment in their site. It will be very convenient for us.

you can exchange paypal to bitcoin is market placed exchanger support paypal is virwox
another option you can find localbitcoins dot com
but ia hope true paypal support technologi bitcoin same netteler is support deposit and withdraw with bitcoin

I do not berfiki that would be like paypal accept bitcoin as a payment method because I just knew that only accept paypal credit based
on fiat largely based on the dollar . but I am open to the possiblity that it could be

yes bro. we can never tell what might happen in the future. maybe Paypal will recognize bitcoin someday and accept it as a payment method if the bitcoin will be well known to most of the people in the world or maybe if its price will reach more than $1000.

well, if it's true, isn't it something good. paypal may already be able to see any aspect of the bitcoin excellence, be it in the payment or in the business world. Maybe this will make the price of the higher of the bitcoin before, but it's very clear will make the price of the bitcoin become higher than ever whether it's $ 800 or maybe more

maybe Paypal will have interest on putting bitcoin as one of their mode of payment when its value reached $1000 or higher. or when bitcoin has affiliated with the banks. many people are hoping that it can also be affiliated with banks.

yeah with the help Coinbase you can do bitcoin transactions and paypal more easily. yeah maybe more in the future there will be more who will work with bitcoin

That's right, I also see that the coinbase is now providing assistance to those who use paypal can buy bitcoin. Perhaps this is one of the things that can be the catalyst for the progress of plant and bitcoin. This is the beginning of an outstanding and could facilitate the circulation of bitcoin.

Well 2 weeks ago my PayPal just got disable for sending/receive any money because I've done transaction for Bitcoin and they said PayPal can't be used for buy/sell Bitcoin and they unable my PayPal again after I did what they said. So from this discussion I don't think PayPal will accept bitcoin as payment.

That really happen? If thats the case then it would be impossible for bitcoin  to be used  as payment method as others said here on this thread. What other message you got from paypal dude? Why they know your transaction regarding your buying/selling bitcoin in that transaction? how do they know it?
Yeah of course it really happened, that person used a name related to Bitcoin and PayPal caught it, and asking many questions then honestly I answer what's going on and because I give them the answer they give me a chance to open my account again.

my experience with paypal is not trustworthy. long time transactions. sometimes not even complete.
WHat do you even mean by that? I've never had transaction 'not complete' with Paypal, though this may be different for merchants.
I quite like Paypal, just easy to use and haven't had any issues with it.

But I have heard some horror stories of merchants' funds being locked etc.

i have no personal experience about that. the reason is that i have never use paypal in my life time experience because it is banned in our country and no one can use it here.
