Well 2 weeks ago my PayPal just got disable for sending/receive any money because I've done transaction for Bitcoin and they said PayPal can't be used for buy/sell Bitcoin and they unable my PayPal again after I did what they said. So from this discussion I don't think PayPal will accept bitcoin as payment.

That really happen? If thats the case then it would be impossible for bitcoin  to be used  as payment method as others said here on this thread. What other message you got from paypal dude? Why they know your transaction regarding your buying/selling bitcoin in that transaction? how do they know it?
maybe because he uses his paypal account to buy on few popular bitcoin sites,so paypal trying to get further details about the transaction which result a detailed information that he's done make transaction for bitcoin

my experience with paypal is not trustworthy. long time transactions. sometimes not even complete.
That might be the case of fiat. Maybe everything will be different with bitcoin.
must be case of fiat currency.bitcoin still have so much volatility no fiat currency gonna marge with bitcoin unless bitcoin market stable.bitcoin need to open more doors to enter fiat currency.

I only know that paypal is just accepting a credit that is based on fiat most of the it is based on dollar . And maybe in your country it is on local currency , I don't think that paypal would become like receiving bitcoin as payment method but I am open to the possiblity that it could be .

Paypal is regulated by various laws of many countries. They have different rules for different countries. So it is very difficult for them to accommodate a currency which is not regulated by anyone.

So they can accommodate bitcoin for those countries where bitcoin is legal. There are very very few nations where it is legal so I think that is the main roadblock. However, you can always exchange your bitcoin in to paypal funds using exchanger service.

May I know the reason why does Paypal do not accept bitcoin as payment and/or deposit?! I know that Bitcoin is known widely on the internet so Paypal should accept it as a mode of payment since their forte is through the internet. I hope that someday, PayPal will acknowledge Bitcoin and put it as one of the mode of payment in their site. It will be very convenient for us.

I think not for now, maybe they are fixing something or just they don't still want to add it. But for me, I think they are fixing a bug because that's a serious matter. They want to make it perfect, remove bugs and also to stop the hackers from bridging to the accounts. Maybe in the near future, they will add it and also other currencies as well. But for now, I think they need to make it perfect to lessen the bugs and glitches.

where did you find out that they are fixing a bug? many of us are also hoping that Paypal will include bitcoin as a mode of payment and I think it will be much better if they will include other currencies as well just like what you said. but Paypal has been in the industry for so long but they did not include other currencies aside from the major one.

yeah how did they knew that you are using your Paypal account to buy and sell bitcoin? Unless someone told them that you are doing it. But some people on this forum said that Paypal is thinking of the possibility including bitcoin as a mode of payment.

the last news that i heard from paypal is they will integrate bitcoin with their payment gateway, but i am not really sure that i understand what is the meaning. maybe you can visit paypal homepage.

i think if paypal integrate with bitcoin, then it will be good news, we can maybe trace the transaction or we can know who is the name which buy our bitcoin or something like that.

Paypal is currently not receiving bitcoins officially as payment method , but there was news on the forum i heard recently paypal trying to add as officially , if that comes it will be very good for the transaction  Smiley

you caused me great happiness with your news sir :hat down:

Then its a good news you shared pal. If bitcoin would be accepted as a payment method on paypal then it would be a great feature and many of us would be happy.
Since paypal is used longer than bitcoin and when the time comes when btc is introduced maybe it would be a good advertisement to btc to became more popular.

A long time ago Paypal said you will be able to buy stuff using BTC... It still hasn't happened. Don't count on it.
If you have bitcoin debit card you can easily buy stuffs adding that card to your paypal account. I have done several purchases like that and i think recently paypal have enabled bitcoin as deposit method for US citizens (i am not quite clear on this). Sooner or later it is quite sure paypal will be accepting bitcoin worldwide.

because technically when you use bitcoin you should never have any need for horrible services like PayPal. in other words bitcoin will remove PayPal and any similar service from the internet in the future, so they have no intention to show any support for bitcoin for the time being.

If paypal starts accepting bitcoin, price will get huge pump.
And I believe it will help each other.

well I think that if paypal starts taking bitcoin it would definitely
be a pump in price. But I will believe it when I see it. Paypal would
be foolish to support bitcoin as it goes against everything they do like
charge crazy fees and control everyone's money.

I hope they do as it would probably make paying for items on ebay through
paypal possible also but I would be shocked if it happened.

PayPal won't accept bitcoin, because most of them consider both as different payment gateway. Possibly both will compete with each other, further soon scenario might change if more start using bitcoin as a currency.

Not many businesses accept bitcoin yet but there are a few that do. It will just take time for them to do so and it will be based on demand by customers like us.

I have no doubt that PayPal owners are intelligent people, so I think it is just a matter of time to see bitcoin as an additional currency to carry out transactions through Paypal, and this action will be widely  beneficial for both and it will boost a greater acceptation of the BTC as a payment method or exchange medium.
