I know you've got a lot on your hands right now, but it would be awesome to see a live chat feed! This is too much fun. I need to stop while I'm playing with pennies.

You're playing with me I think.

Can you show pending deposits in the History list? It's kinda annoying to not know what's happening.

I have an idea. Create a page, that is red on the right side, and black on the left side.
Each is determined from the outcome of the blocks.

Played live. And bets can be in any order, such as there may be 50 people betting 1 bitcoin on red
and 1 person betting one bitcoin on black.

Bets are made by division.

So if red has 50 Bitcoins, (50 different people)
and black has 1 bitcoin.   (A single person)

When black hits. Black wins 1 bitcoin + (50/50), And every person loses (1/50th, and now has 0.98 BTC each) This brings black up to 2 BTC.
When red hits. Red wins 1 bitcoin, distributed among the 50 people, everyone getting 1.02 BTC.

Another idea to increase popularity.

Is to allow people to hold raffles on items on your site.
Like they can upload an image to your site, and a raffle underneath.
Perhaps for raffles you can take a 1% cut off that, to generate a little
revenue. So people can raffle there 7970 Off, and they can
set the tickets amount, and pricing amount.

I would like this idea. I may myself raffle off some computers I have.
Also Allow for the person to set the 1% amount higher, if they wish
this would be the donation amount if anyone wished to set like 5% or so.

This also would allow for you to buy 7970 and brand new stuff.
You can raffle them, and put that on your main front page.
With the games of tickets.

This is a way you can alone generate raffles off your own items as well.

Also hold a draw, buy a brand new jalapeno order number from BFL.
And hold a draw, they must have your site in there signature,
post daily a must, and must be displayed 24/7.

After 14 days or so, then hold a draw among these people.
To enter is to do the above.

This would create or gear a lot more attention to your site.
Which is what you want.

Sometimes you have to spend a little $ to get $$$ later on.

Maybe make it that if they spread the word of your site,
make a blog, or post, and if good, give them extra
tickets into the draw. This would create fierce competion,
and a lot of people would do this. Thus you would
have even more geared attention.

It takes 1 person to let 5 others know, and
each of them to let 5, for total of 25,
going 1>5>25>125>625>3125> ETC.
To get somewhere.

When you click the deposit button, you have to click another button to generate an address. I think it might be appropriate to have one already generated, and then have the user click a button for a new deposit address. Also, the deposit page could be improved with a table of deposit addresses that includes their respective expiration dates/statuses.
Done!

When creating a game, I can't see my current balance. I went a bought a bunch of tickets with the intention of creating a new game with my remaining balance, but I had to leave the page to see my current balance.

Your current balance in a bold or big font at the top
Made!

your hypothetical balance at the top would update immediately after each purchase
Even I don't know outcome of the game before it completes (and your balance respectively)  Wink

perhaps with a confirmation window
Confirmations annoys the users when displaying them too often.

perhaps it could be a buy
  • tickets with 1 as the default
Right now it is as you described. One ticket by default, but you can enter any number.

perhaps the color of the bar would change to something other than blue for raffles that you have already purchased
Implemented!

each raffle bar on the raffle page could include data about how many I have purchased, etc.
Leave the pending raffles at the top of the raffle list, with a full bar of a different color and the user stats
Made! Open your profile -> My games -> Raffle.

Instant mode added! If you trust the operator you can get results of the game immediately without waiting ~10 minutes for the next Bitcoin block.

Where can I see the hash for each raffle?
Open a raffle you want to participate and click "Show verification info" button (below the horizontal banner). After raffle is complete, click the same button and you will see plaintext of the hashed nonce.

Peerbet is provably fair. When a game is created, we generate a random nonce and publish its SHA-256 hash.

Where can I see the hash for each raffle?

If you really want to have a "hook," you could have some sort of live feed on every page that displays raffle results of my purchased tickets.  That kind of instant gratification would help the site's popularity down the road. I imagine that raffles will go very quickly when the site has more traffic (and I'm pretty confident it will have a LOT more if you can keep up with it).

some more ideas:
The raffle page could possibly be improved by:

-Your current balance in a bold or big font at the top
-a "buy ticket" button beside each raffle
    -perhaps with a confirmation window
-perhaps it could be a buy
  • tickets with 1 as the default
-your hypothetical balance at the top would update immediately after each purchase
-perhaps the color of the bar would change to something other than blue for raffles that you have already purchased
-each raffle bar on the raffle page could include data about how many I have purchased, etc.
-Leave the pending raffles at the top of the raffle list, with a full bar of a different color and the user stats

p.s. don't take these suggestions as being nit-picky, I think you're site is great as-is. But since it's beta and all, I thought you'd appreciate it. I think the little things go a long way.

One suggestion: when registering, it might be better to ask the user to confirm his password.
Oh, I use Twitter-inspired design and have read that password without confirmation is more convenient for the most users.
BTW, it is easy to reset a password if you have mistyped it.

Well, it was definitely more convenient for me. Also, I use lastpass so it's not an issue.

Another possible improvement:

When you click the deposit button, you have to click another button to generate an address. I think it might be appropriate to have one already generated, and then have the user click a button for a new deposit address. Also, the deposit page could be improved with a table of deposit addresses that includes their respective expiration dates/statuses.
