I think there a serious lack of innovation on the altcoin market, probably produced by too many people trying to create their own projects because they thought they could get profits just because of it being related to cryptocurrencies.
We are seeing the same projects over and over again and sometimes we are seeing the same people trying the same project just a few months after the previous one failed, the lack of originality is a problem but since many do not take the time to do any research they are impressed by just a few fancy words and a website, and then a few months later after they invested they realize the terrible mistake they made but by then it is too late.

Let's face it, a lot of ICOs are scams. E.g. raise money, make posts with claims of development, pump the price, sell the funds you raised and the tokens you hold, and slowly disappear back into the shadows. Until regulations fully kick-in (and they are coming), it's down to private investors and the community to do their own due diligence. Some alt-coin projects are great, and will stand the test of time, but a large percentage will fail or take the money and run. That said, scams aside, 75% of venture based startups fail (a great article on this matter can be found here: https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/288769), so we shouldn't deride ETH/crypto or alt-coins in general just because token funded startups tend to follow the same failure rates as other tech startups. Crypto isn't a magic wand that prevents failure. Angels and VCs understand these risks, and thus factor the losses into their risk calculations, whereas the average crypto investor is generally far less informed/experienced and therefore is at far higher risk of making poor investment choices.

Many community members have been claiming lately that altcoins are going to die or at least that 90% of altcoins are doomed. I tend to agree with them that there are many coins and tokens that are pointless and won't survive. Another cathegory are alts with solid foundations but won't manage to fight with their competitors as naturally there are numerous projects with same visions. But if you trust the project you invested in, there is no reason to change your mind just because someone says many altcoins won't succeed. Do your research and trust only your own judgement, because many ALTCOINS ARE HERE TO STAY!
It is already obvious that many altcoins will not succeed because of tight competition. Once there is already a clear regulation in cryptocurrency for sure 90% of altcoin will die instantly. Only few good altcoin will remain together with Bitcoin.

I think this is absolutely true, most if not all altcoins are worthless. Only a few coins have a real solution to a real problem and besides most other coins can not do anything or solve a problem.

I think most wont survive, we need the useless projects to die off, then we can experience healthy growth in great projects
Yes, there are thousands of different types of altcoin. So there is no way for them to survive together. I think only around a hundred altcoins can survive in the future .

Now most people are pessimistic about the current situation in the market and about the near future. Someone says that the crypto market is close to collapse. Personally, I think that this is just a difficult period.

It seems to me that this is not so, despite the fact that there are many useless coins, the vast majority of them will remain

I dont think so, and I dont agree with that people. Some of Altcoins will become the main cryptocurrency in future, I'm sure. I don't understand, why people say such things.

Most alts won't survive yes but the main ones will. If you want more ROI, then you need to take a risk and invest in other coins than Bitcoin.

Well ETH is also an altcoin so are LTC, NEO and EOS which are very much valuable with the potential to grow because it stands out among the long list of altcoins. Later on these coins will also be hard to earn just like BTC today. Which is why if you do have these tokens and you have the chance to keep them for years, keep it because these tokens will sure survive for your retirement plan.

The term "bubble" was used by virtually every media when it began to go about cryptocurrencies. Whether the assets are based on a cryptocurrency bubble is a completely different matter. It's amazing that - the cryptocurrency space - a risky industry, constantly illuminating in the media, receives more and more investors every day.

Altcoins will stay for a long time. the ones haters will regret what they are saying and they may simply envy people who got wealthy because of crypto. Haters gonna hate. I hate it once they tell people terrible information approximately crypto. They must preserve it to themselves due to the fact rumors will never assist something. Alts will keep developing and that may be a truth.

As you can see that ethereum is already losing so much value and trust, so if eth falls, alts will definitely tag along and begin falling. It is a sad state of affairs to see ethereum fall down like that.

ethereum is down, but I don't think this is the end of alternate coin, I believe ethereum and other altcoins will soon recover
