Hello,

some solution for "ethermine pool EU SSL certification validation failed" problem? e.g. switch to accept any SSL cert from mining pool?
We switched back to non-SSL connection on port 4444, but that's not an ideal solution.

Regards,
Stanislav

I use the following settings on Debian bookworm for eu1.ethermine.org:
-proto 3 -coin eth -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -pool2 ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555

Sofar haven't encouintered any "EU SSL certification error"  yet and have been mining on
ethermine.org since 29-03-2021 (restarted it then).

I have the same problem "ssl certificate verify failed" on Ethermine. Other mining apps don't have such problem.

Was running Ubuntu 20.04.4 and PhoenixMiner does support amdgpu-pro-21.30-1290604-ubuntu-20.04 and should work. Have you tried installing it like amdgpu-install --opencl=legacy,rocr --headless ?
As that should support the RX 580 as well as the RX 6600 (XT).
Make sure you uninstall the drivers first before installing again.

Hi, thanks for info. I tried installing 21.30 using amdgpu-pro-install --opencl=legacy,rocr --headless.

I read this on Phoenixminer 6.0c:
Quote
AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1 has finally removed the requirement of PCIe atomics but there are problems when you try to mix Polaris (RX4x0/5x0) cards and Vega or newer cards on the same rig.

So I started to doubt I will ever be able to mix rx580 and rx6600.

But if you confirm you managed, then I will try again, maybe with fresh ubuntu install. Smiley
Thanks

Forgot to mention I used version 5.9d at that time.

Hello,

did anyone tried using RX580 and RX6600 in one rig?

I was mining using phoenixminer on ubuntu 20.04.4 with amdgpu 20.45 driver 4 x rx580 for a year.
I have recently added 4 x rx6600, but I cannot get them to work together.

amdgpu 20.45 recognizes rx580, but not rx6600
as per amd website, rx6600 support was added in 21.30 https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-amdgpu-unified-linux-21-30
But it seems that phoenixminer does not support amdgpu 21.30 at all.
With both amdgpu 21.50 & 21.40 rx580 does not show up in phoenixminer.

The results are the same with teamredminer.

Anyone succeeded with similar setup?

Hello! Thanks for the advice. 6700XT I have GPUs 1 - it has a monitor and 2 more pieces 478, for them I prescribe the settings in the miner, for 6700XT in Radeon Software - Tuning. Wrote it like this now.

PhoenixMiner.exe -coin eth  -acm -pool eth.2miners.com:2020 -rvram 1 -wal 15bYeW____toB4.r1 -proto 4 -cvddc 0,870,870 -mvddc 0,870,870 -cclock 0,1150,1150 -mclock 0,2090,2090 -tt 50,65,65 -ttmem 1:65 -fanmin 30,24,24 -hstats 2 -clKernel 1,2,2 -rxboost 0,1,1

The -fpwm option is for Linux only. When installing 6700XT, I prescribed -clKernel 1 to it, but for some reason it didn’t work then, maybe it was PhoenixMiner 6.0. Now I'm testing it, the hashrate on it has become more stable (~ 49), on -clKernel 0, it was floating from 47 to 49.5.

Do note -rxboost doesn't work for RDNA card ONLY for Polaris based cards according to PhoenixMiner readme.

about once a week my miner will go down and tell me my bat file is "not recognized as an internal or external command, Operable program or batch file"
probably antivirus deleting it.

How do I ensure they are all turned off?

exclude the miners folder from the AV software, they all have a setting somewhere that allows specific folders or directories to not be scanned.

Ive excluded it,  but still getting same results

Having trouble, about once a week my miner will go down and tell me my bat file is "not recognized as an internal or external command, Operable program or batch file"

Ive tried about 4-5 different methods to make this work but nothing seems to help. The last few times it happened I uninstalled and installed the miner a couple times and that got it to work. Quite an annoying fix so any thing quicker would be great.

Greetings. Who can explain why, after adding 6700xt to the previously working RX478, on the air in Phoenix Miner 5.8c under Windows 10, driver 21.4.1, ping 45-70, Phoenix began pouring stales, (there are no stales on the statistics website 2MINERS.COM) I turn off 6700xt - everything is fine, there are no stales. I don't understand how a new card can do stales?
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

pause

2022.03.12:13:01:21.448: main Eth: Accepted shares 555 (31 stales), rejected shares 0 (0 stales)
2022.03.12:13:01:21.448: main Eth: Incorrect shares 0 (0.00%), est. stales percentage 5.59%

rx 6700 xt uses best -clkernel 1 and -rxboost 1 is for polaris cards. If PhoenixMiner -list shows
rx470 as gpu1 and rx6700xt as gpu2 try this:

PhoenixMiner.exe -coin eth -pool eth.2miners.com:2020 -rvram 1 -wal 15bYe_______toB4.r1 -proto 4 -cvddc 1:0,2:870 -mvddc 1:0,2:870 -cclock 1:0,2: -mclock 1:0,2:2090 -tt 65 -fanmin 1:30 -hstats 2 -clKernel 1:0,2:1 -rxboost 1:1 -fpwm 2:4

1=rx470 2=rx6700xt

My settings for rx6600xt I use under linux are:
Phoenixminer -amd -acm -clKernel 2:1 -hwm 2 -tt 2:60 -ttmem 2:70 -hstats 2 -fpwm 2:4 -cclock 2:1100 -mclock 2:1170

I don´t set the cvddc and mvddc as the AMD driver under linux takes care of that automatically.

GPU2: 40C 0% 65W
GPU2: cclock 1100 MHz, cvddc 743 mV, mclock 1169 MHz, Tj 45C, Tmem 64C, 517 kH/J
GPUs power: 65.0 W; cost: 0.47 USD/day; 517 kH/J

if pool shows no stale then you are good, maybe it is bug of miner

You do realize that Windows 10 1709 is a fall of 2017 release of Windows 10.   Update to 21H2 at least.

This version of windows is working just fine for me. I also have one rig with latest version and have same issue with latest Phoenix Miner software so it is not related with OS version...

Quote
Drivers are ok, as I said I am using Phoenix Miner after Claymore ended and still using him on severals rigs with v5.8x without anny issue and for updates I just copied old bat file into directory of new version but since v5.9 it is not working like that. In this moment I am ok with v5.8x since I am using old card GTX 1070TI and few RTX 2070 but I wanted to try new version to be prepared for future needs in case I add some newer cards RTX3 or AMD RX66xx...

Whit the old hardware you have now the Windows 10 1709 and an old set of drivers, you should be fine, but for sure you can not found a set of drivers that will support AMD RX66xx cards. I think the Nvidia RTX3xxx series require Windows 10 20H1 or higher too.

Hope. rtx 3060 and 3060tis working just fine with W10 1909 driver version 472.12 mixed with old polaris cards no problem at all but im using phoenix 5.4c for old polaris cards and trex for rtx cards.
