Pulev could pull off a shock, it is a possibility that should not be discounted. The smart money is obviously on Joshua to win but if he takes his eye off the ball and gets complacent after the win over Ruiz, it might be a tough fight against Pulev.

I agree, Pulev is a live dog here, although I voted for Anthony Joshua to win, and I think there are no pressures on Pulev side, he just need to relax show his best version and test Joshua to his limit.

If Joshua came like he did against Ruiz I, too over confident, cocky and thinks he can just go fight square against Pulev, there could be a good chance for an upset here.

I voted for Joshua, too, I think he will win. Interesting prediction from the sport news writer "Joshua will knock out
Pulev in the fourth round".
Joshua is taller and has bigger reach, in boxing that is an advantage! If he learned his lesson against Ruiz he will
not get into fights cocky ever again.
Odds on Joshua are low, I will not place a bet, but I will watch this fight! Agree with you JollyGood, if Pulev gets
into fight relaxed without pressure he can make a surprise here.
Definitely he learn a lot against Ruiz and he beat Ruiz convincingly in a rematch.

I think Joshua is going to use his advantage and he shouldn't be overaggressive trying to knock out his opponent in an early rounds, that's juts my expectation but of course I would like to see some real action here as his opponent IMO is better than Ruiz and this guy also has some good power although near at retirement age already. Joshua will try not to make a mistake here, otherwise it will be his 2nd defeat against an underdog fighter.

If Ruiz can pull of a shocking fight anyone in the top could make that happen and Kubrat Pulev is certainly a fighter who can capitalize on the mistakes but if that happens then the most anticipated Fury fight will diminish its value.

Surely, because AJ would demand a rematch and beat Pulev like he did with Ruiz, and also we have to remember that the Wilder vs Fury fight is still to be decided, if Pulev can pull out an upset then for sure Wilder also has a chance to beat Fury. So both Fury and AJ has to beat their opponent now for them to get a good payday when they fight in UK.

Wilder got exposed and is basically finished now, if he gets in the way of the undisputed fight people will just hate him for it. Especially if he gets smoked even worse this time.
With all the stakes stacked against Wilder i expect him to prepare his best and hope for the best because one more loss and his career as a main stream fighter is done for good. He would have played smart and fight some other fighters and then return back to face Fury again rather than taking an immediate rematch which is an impossible task.

Surprised Pulev even got 3 votes really, these are the same guys that will lose their money when the first actually happens.

Pulev is an old man now, far past his prime and hasn't fought anywhere near the calibre of opposition that AJ has. He's going to get smoked.

I'll be putting a nice chunky sum on AJ when it gets closer to the fight date.

I voted for Anthony Joshua, but he will be thinking on Fury fight all the time.
I am just not so sure he is mentally ready for this fight and even more for fight with against Fury next year.
My popcorns are ready anyway  Grin
That might be a problem if he will underestimate his opponent now as he already envision the big money he will make when he will face Fury, we might see another upset like the Ruiz fight, hopefully not.

So, it will take us one year to wait to see who is the truly champion. Although for most of you, the results are already there, the eagerness, which to wait for what will happen in their match, is indisputable. The damn plague has made things worse. We could have seen results this year, but no, it's slow everythings down  Roll Eyes (and even football matches)

At least a year. Both Fury and Joshua will almost certainly have rematch clauses if they lose as well, so that could add on another year. Not sure Joshua will lose and Fury is unlikely to, but you never know. Nobody expected Joshua to lose to Ruiz and look what happened so itt's not unthinkable that one of them will lose. I don't think Fury will win as easily as people expect though. The first fight was very close and Fury practically came back from the dead at one point so don't underestimate Wilder.

It looks like this fight might not even go ahead now. A two fight deal between Fury-Joshua has been brokered according to their promoter:

It's a mandatory fight. Unless Joshua wants to vacate his belts to fight Fury, but I doubt Fury would want to fight a beltless Joshua.

I think he means the Wilder Fury 3 fight might not go ahead.

Apparently Wilder injured his bicep throwing all those haymakers he missed in their second bout. He just had surgery on it and now thinks he can get in there with the champ and win?!

Insane.

Quite possibly yes it might be take that long for Fury-Joshua two fight deal to go ahead but that is based on Fury beating Wilder again and Joshua beating Pulev.

Things are beginning to look very interesting in the heavyweight boxing area again  Grin

If the fight goes ahead, it looks like the majority here simply go for a Joshua win.

That's expected, but I would go for Pulev as I am one of those who votes for Pulev.
Joshua is good but he has some kind of vulnerability, and I I've seen that in the past, so I am hoping that he will lose again, lol..

+600 for Pulev , I'm willing to put a small amount that I won't bother me if I lose.

He's got a puncher's chance, that's for sure. But I don't think those odds are attractive to me.

I think Pulev has around a 1 in 20 chance to win, he's far too old and has fought relatively weak opposition compared to AJ.

AJ has beat everybody he's ever faced (including Ruiz). There's literally nothing that Pulev does better than AJ.

I knew it, that's why he is the favorite here, I mean the heavy favorite but I like the betting odds of Pulev though he has lesser chances.
Not going to go with the public as personally, I don't like AJ as a boxer.

They better finish beat their respective opponent if we want to see this fight to be more interesting.

Personally, going against AJ here.

The fight we are waiting for between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury could have a date in 2021. It is what is said in this article.

I've just got to smash Deontay Wilder's face right in, in the next fight, and then we go into the Joshua fight next year,” Fury said.

No agreements have been signed yet, only the financial part is being discussed.
I am pleased with this news because we are moving forward in the midst of this crisis.

It looks like Fury already assume that he will win the fight against Wilder, what would happen if Fury will lose in this trilogy fight against Wilder?
Then maybe this article would be useless, sure enough,  right? Grin ... I guess I like to see Wilder gonna win in their 3rd fight as he is the only one I believe who can punished Joshua, Fury might beat Joshua but not as brutal Wilder usually beat his opponents.  Grin

Fury will almost certainly have a rematch clause. In a previous interview he mentioned the rematches could go on and on if he loses so that would insinuate that he'll be having a rematch clause in there. I suppose they could agree to leave it at the trilogy but Fury would be silly not to at least have the clause in there if he loses.

Could have. Could be 2022 or 2023 or never as well. It seems the terms have been agreed on now but the contracts still need to be signed, which is the most important part as without a signature the deals mean nothing and won't happen. Fury or Joshua losing would push it back by another year as well as they will likely want rematches. If Joshua loses the belts Fury might not even be bothered in fighting him.

Well Pulev is no muppet, he certainly has got a chance. If he catches Joshua with a massive hook or uppercut then an upset could be on the cards but if Joshua is as mentally solid and focused just like he was went he went in to the re-match with Ruiz then Pulev would probably be no obstacle.

It would be a huge mistake for anybody assume Pulev has no chance, he certainly does have a chance.
