Some of the funniest trolls are ones from a few years ago and who aren’t active anymore.

I’m not sure if manyproofs would qualify as a troll, but his posts were hilarious to read. I’m not sure if anyone could genuinely mangle the English language like he appeared to.

Fwdxlsh, mixan, kwukduck, and some other ones whose names I can’t remember also contributed some quality entertainment before they either got nuked or bored. There was one (codishmumu) who kept saying she had a thigh gap. Then there’s MPOE-PR from 2014 or so, who made some very intelligent but extremely biting posts. They probably wouldn’t be considered strictly troll posts, but they were damn close.

We don’t have many trolls that are funny nowadays, just ones who rage against DT and the trust/merit systems—and thankfully that’s been on the decline recently.

@hilariousetc - User Lambie Slayer doxed NLC, the person behind the account was/is Izabella Kaminska (UK journalist @ The Financial Times).

I can’t find the link here now though.

And yeah it was NLC that posted pages & pages of gay porn to troll us. She also had a fascination with weird, creepy WW2 pictures & Jap/Chinese disturbing images.

NLC used to troll the forum on a daily basis for a long time. I provably should have voted her as the biggest troll here. The biggest troll on any website I’ve ever been on tbh.

Yes but those aren't the trolls that people will be nominating for this poll. The best trolls are the ones who know how to suck people back into an argument even after they have tried their hardest to turn their backs on them. Trolls do go away. There's plenty that have come and gone here over the years. They get bored very quickly especially if nobody takes the bait. If everyone ignored them they're just screaming into the digital void and trolls don't like to waste time. They're powered by attention and annoying people. If nobody gets annoyed or even acknowledges them then that's a mortal wound to them and they'll find something else to do or troll elsewhere.
