Because you know, any troll who can sustain a completely nonsensical, ridiculous thread for 4 plus years, well, he takes the cake. (thread started on April Fools day which obviously is no coincidence and is sadly, one of the longest running threads on bitcointalk, so yeah, the general public who stumble on it just got their suspicions confirmed that bitcoiners are all lunatics)

...And as an added note, that pious delusional, anti-vaxxer, evolution denying idiot, BADecker, gets honorable mention....

I'd say the top 3 get to stay and post as usual but all other nominees get banned. We should raise the standards and allow only the best trolls to keep trolling.

How about winner gets a post limit per day. like 1 post per day , so they can selectively troll , and put extra thought into it.

The others that troll the trolls well are BobLawblaw and Tman.

When it comes to advanced level negative trolling some of the Russian trolls are expert at that. Usually it results in an eventual ban.

Everytime  he pollutes or creates a thread with his wall of text lunacy, he more often than not, obsesses over something I won't mention.
Not sure if he has mental health issues. (or is something that I won't mention.... again)

I'm going to nominate Quickseller just because no one else has yet.
I'm also going to nominate Anonymint/iamnotback/anunymint/Shelby_Moore_III etc, etc, etc. Although, he is obviously intelligent, sometimes his posts are a bit hard to follow and required much research on my part just to understand where he is coming from. Someone who keeps coming back after being banned has to be a troll. (He now has other members communicate for him on his behalf when he is moved to say something.)

I won't go digging years back, just mentioning current ones:

I wouldn't call BADecker a troll. Despite being a lunatic he doesn't seem to be aiming to anger or provoke other users. There are some better candidates in P&S but on the other hand I'm fully aware how those topics make people say stupid things IRL, so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they're just opinionated idiots, not trolls. Perhaps "involuntary trolls".

No point in nominating Roach: he's already sure to make it into the list. Gembitz is a nuisance, but rising to real trolling seems to be too far above his head. Long gone members (NLC, Stolfi, etc.) also make no sense as nominations. Proudhon is still active, but his recent, infrequent posts border on autoirony. This would disqualify him as a troll at present.

Therefore, I nominate alevlaslo and jonoiv. Each in his own way, they have that kind of obtuse single-mindedness that elevates a nuisance to troll material.

I don't know if you can take that as 100% confirmation. He might have just been stating the blatantly obvious (like most of us can see).


Well that's what makes them trolls. Imagine someone going to a Lamborghini forum and then just shitting on Lambos constantly. I think the people who come here even to troll about bitcoin are probably fans or are at least interested or invested in the subject in some capacity. In NLCs case I used to think he was either a person who had made a lot of money from bitcoin and could afford to just sit back and troll about it all day or the opposite and he'd either lost a lot of money or cashed out at the wrong time and that hundred thousand or so he cashed out was now worth millions and that pushed him over the edge.


They'll be back, but don't tempt them. Bitcoin is probably going to be going up and down for the foreseeable future and if we get a huge crash again the fear-mongers will return but we've been through these cycles several times over the years and rode the waves of trolls that came with them.


I guess the people he effects consider him a troll, but I'd say harassment is just part of his business model as I previously addressed.


Yeah, he's a troll. That RawDog guy was like some anti-bitcoiner youtuber but I don't think that's his actual account and someone created it just to troll with.

I don't really thinl that this guy is a troll, it's just that his way of hinking is beyond the normal ones, he's an alien that hides with a human flesh and be considered as morethan of a troll.

Aliens are capable of learning human languages, that's the reason why we are able to talk to him but his mind and thinking are way off the earth so arguing with him will bring you a miserable life 😂

Yes, I agree, an excellent addition that I had completely forgotten about. His greatest thread was one complaining about the first private key "directory," directory.io. The name of the thread was "This asshole published my private key!"

F*** I see r0ach as one of the biggest trolls as well, though I wouldn’t mind all the trolls to be gone BUT (don’t shoot me i’m f***ed up on rosé wine as we speak) I like r0ach to stay as the house troll of the WO I hope him to keep posting all the way UP etc............ and sometimes I do enjoy he’s outreageous posts
One thing r0ach must change = he’s always same opening line on Some Posts (valueless tracking desingend govt token or something ) but still many opinions on RL issue and woman etc sometimes make me laugh out loud .....

I vote for digaran, strange that nobody haven't mentioned him. It was actually fun read his posts and miss him a bit. Lot of current trolls like cryptohunter, game-protect are just so annoying.
It's difficult to select second nominee, because there was/is so many trolls that I can't remember all of them, especially these who are inactive now or used new accounts to troll.
Probably I have to select someone from P&S section - there are quite many crazy people. But it's hard to understand who is trolling and who is just dumb. So, I select KingScorpio.
