Yesterday my Poloniex account got frozen. When logging in it displays the following message after entering the correct 2FA code:
"Your account has been locked. Please contact support."

Of course I wrote to support immediately, but so far no response for more than 24h.

It's the second time in a row I'm having problems with Poloniex. The first time was just a few days ago, when a BTC withdrawal was automatically put on "WAITING APPROVAL" after I clicked the confirmation link that was mailed to me. Staff made the transfer get through 15h after I wrote to support - and also advised me to activate 2FA, what I did thereafter.
There never was any transaction spamming from my side. I wanted to put a larger amount of BTC to Poloniex for lending (safe and steady income), but decided to tryout Poloniex first with a smaller sum (1 BTC) first. Trading on the exchange and lending worked well, but they disappointed me with that manual approval thing. Withdrawal problems make me feel goxxxed instantly! But after getting my money back I thought: "Hey, that 2FA thing is quite sane, let's try it again!" So I sent 1 BTC to Poloniex again ... and wham-bam my account got locked.
I could imagine different reasons:

I could imagine different reasons:
- Using VPN (not Tor) with many different IP addresses: I change my VPN servers frequently to watch TV content online from many different countries (Germany, Switerland, US, Japan, etc).
- Stuck Verification: I entered my (valid!) data for tier 2 verification but the verification failed and I was told to use tier 3 verification instead. But that sending of an image with me holding my passport is a step too far, I will definitely not do this. So I decided to stay with verification tier 1 for now.
- Maybe I entered a wrong 2FA code. It's unlikely put possible.
Will update on the situation...
I've been reading a lot about these online Bitcoin wallet services having issues with security/keeping users' wallets secure. It's best to download a wallet like Bitcoin Core, though I have never heard of Polonex at all before this post.

Was just frozen with zero communication. Nothing. Only thing I can think of is that I use Tor so perhaps logging in with different IPs within a certain period triggered a freeze? The only communication I have so far is a ticket number.
Potential malicious IP, I assume because I was using Tor. Never had a problem in almost a year. So I need to validate the account.
Life at Poloniex must be rather intense these days. They must be snowed under with customer issues and it's surely only a matter of time before the amounts swishing around there these days attract some unwanted attention.

either you're a robot or you can't read English or a slave.. its against the law to freeze an account without proper warrant.. if you made any investment in your life and seeking securities for your earnings .. you would like I realized we made a BIG mistake investing your savings with unsecured and law breaking concepts from any or form of an exchanges..

You didn't mentioned correctly that they unlocked your account, from your last post they just tell you the reason, at least change now the title or lock the topic either, i am happy to see that they unlocked your account and you are free to trade/withdraw.

I am surprised that your account is still frozen, i just used an hour ago to withdraw some alt coins and it worked good (slowly but not frozen)

it took under 24 hours... but you guys aint get it... unless you broke the law .. it takes a warrant from the courts to freeze your account .. stand up for your rights . Ronald Reagan says don't let the government get to big.. did you see my link on the early post of this thread
this is their reason... its against the law + im a miner.. sometimes you strike a vein ...
Your account is frozen because you have been making an enormous amount of very tiny deposits, please collect such deposits on your desktop wallet and then send larger and less frequent transactions to your Poloniex account.
Please let me know you understand and I will re enable your account.

I dont know where to post this , did anyone else get their account frozen?? i just noticed this last night and of course i asked help desk for help.. im at tier 2 with then and not even a email to notify me that they frozen my account.. first cryptsy but at least cryptsy helped me get most of my funds and i just deposited at polonex and of course a frozen account they would allows deposits .. its wrongs type of ways to handle a very important business.. please feel free to express your views on crypto exchanges..
They only freeze your account if you are suspected to be scamming or to poven to have stolen coins. Either way it is not very good for you to have the account frozen...

I just checked my account and it seams that everything is fine. Can you update us on weathers there new development regarding your case ?

His account was stopped due to spamming payments and admin advised if agreed and so forth then would unlock his account. Read up on my comment above and his above mine. No doubt he getting his sorted so long as he agrees. And other peoples well no idea only thing they can do as I have advised others to send ticket in and be polite and not argue and find out what the cause is and go from their. Never had any problems myself guess that is because I play by the rules and stick to them.
