Why is the withdrawal fee for ETN pool set to 0.3 when it can be easily sent for less than 1/10th of its cost ?

It would be very good but I have not liked that they increased the difficulty 3x without any announcement. Throwing out all CPU miners.
And has problems with DB - sometimes dates, values, etc.  are lost. So can not trust that my shares are safe.
And what means these deep pits in hashrate..?

I went through the list of pools on the main page but cant seem to find the one that seems to be pulling all the blocks. WHat pool is it?

Would be interested too even if 80% is not possible.

Full network is @ 165 Mh/s, that would be a pool with 132 Mh/s.

That would be 33 Mh/s left. Hashparty has 7 Mh/s, Easyhash 20 Mh/s, suprnova 22.. We are already over the Mh/s that should be left...

I use https://electroneum.hashvault.pro it's very reliable and pro. They have 47 Mh/s

finally some good news about their project ,but its nothing worth for the initial investors since the coins are still unsaleable form

The price is currently 11 x the ICO. You really think it'll hold the line when > 4 billion coins flood the market? 

I don't agree with those who are saying price will see some kind of decrease. There are how many markets showing great performance and are above ICO price levels even now. I expect increase in ETN tokens value because some whales will try to buy at slightly over the ICO and then huge rally ahead. I might be wrong but this is my stance on the upcoming situation.

Answer is largest network. Full launch hasnt happened and its already in the top 10 in number of users. It has around 15% of the size of the user base of Bitcoin already, and full launch hasnt even occured yet, and they still have 70+ million to promote the coin.

They wont pass BTC or ETH in marketcap, but should pass them in number of users in 2018.

That will put them at #3 IMO

Yup the next 2 -3 weeks will be interesting for the ETN coin. Thanks to their excellent marketing they have built a large community. We need to see how the coin fares in January.

Yeah, when ICO investors & Bounty Hunter will get access to their ETN, the price will be dumped at once.
But now we can see a slow growth of ETN

For sure, that will be a dump as soon as the ICO investors receive their coins. Thats the nature of the ICO based cryptos. The real price will be obtained a few weeks later.

Also I like the fact that someone pointed out the reason why this coin is different from IOTA. What makes this coin special that it will be a top 4 coin is something that I have not seen yet.

Exactly, the main reason for trading alts is to increase your BTC holdings. The monetary value makes no real odds until such times as you're planning on liquidating your BTC into fiat.

ETN is being pumped because whales who own a lot of ICO coins want to build higher buy support to eventually dump into, it's as plain as day if you've seen this behaviour before. There will be many bag holders come ICO release day and the whales will be waiting to catch the cheap coins at the bottom (probably under the ICO price). I trade ETN primarily because it has volume and it's easy to make profits swing trading it but I for damn sure won't have any holdings or buy orders in any ETN market come mid-next week.

Adaptive limits

A decentralized payment system must not depend on a single person’s decisions, even if this person is a core
developer. Hard constants and magic numbers in the code deter the system’s evolution and therefore should be
eliminated (or at least be cut down to the minimum). Every crucial limit (like max block size or min fee amount)
should be re-calculated based on the system’s previous state. Therefore, it always changes adaptively and
independently, allowing the network to develop on it’s own.
Electroneum’s CryptoNote has the following parameters which adjust automatically for each new block:
1. Difficulty. The general idea of our algorithm is to sum all the work that nodes have performed during the
last 720 blocks and divide it by the time they have spent to accomplish it. The measure of the work is the
corresponding difficulty value for each of the blocks. The time is calculated as follows: sort all the 720
timestamps and cut-off 20% of the outliers. The range of the rest 600 values is the time which was spent for
80% of the corresponding blocks.
2. Max block size. Let MN be the median value of the last N blocks sizes. Then the “hard-limit” for the size of
accepting blocks is 2*MN. It averts blockchain bloating but still allows the limit to slowly grow with the time if
necessary. Transaction size does not need to be limited explicitly. It is bounded by the size of the block.



Smooth emission

The upper bound for the overall amount of all digital coins is also digital:
MSupply = 264 − 1 atomic units
This is a natural restriction based only on the implementation limits, not on intuition like “N coins ought to be
enough for everybody”. To make the emission process smoother electroneum’s CryptoNote uses the following
formula for block rewards:
BaseReward = (MSupply − A) >> 18
Where A is amount of previously generated coins. It gives a predictable growth of the money supply without any
breakpoints.

Hi Everyone!

I have some GREAT NEWS for everyone!

HackerOne are drawing to a close on their Private Challenge and not one bit of private data has been compromised or accessed by their team of awesome hackers!

They found a handful of little bugs, but did not gain access to private keys, wallets, user data or anything scary. That is a HUGE relief for all of us.

The HackerOne Challenge officially finishes on Monday and we are now rolling out the last of these little bug fixes and we will be launching (ahem!, cough! RE-launching) Electroneum by the middle of next week!

We have not been idle while HackerOne were busy, we've made improvements to the look, feel and functionality of the website wallet system (which will enable iPhone users to make transfers until the iOS app is launched) and the Android app, and we've been contacting hundreds of potential partners to ensure we have some joint ventures already negotiated for once we are up and running. Hopefully by the time we launch next week, we will have something signed and have our first public partnership(s) in place.

I'd like to thank everyone for their patience, after seeing NiceHash hacked for $64m USD just yesterday, I was glad we made the tough decision to engage HackerOne.

I think so too, but the price rose since the announcement. Seems like a very risky buy right now but people are buying nonetheless. Whatever, I'm excited to see how it all plays out.
