Thanks for the info. One more question if you don't mind.

I generated the offline paper wallet. Means I now have public, view and spend keys. Now how this internet know that this wallet exists? One possible answer that internet will know when I use this public key to receive new etns by withdrawing from cryptopia? did I get it right? What if cryptopia says that this wallet doen't even exist?

and afterwards when I want to spend the coins, where do i give the spend key? is it only possible via electroneum-wallet-cli?

If you you plan to buy a lot of ETN and keep it for some time you should use the paper wallet otherwise I would just keep the coins on cryptopia for now until desktop wallet and online wallets are released. Or install the electoneum cli wallet and transfer your coins to it.

If you use the paper wallet you can just import your keys in GUI wallet when released and you should have your coins there.

Thanks for the article.

By the way, can you or someone else tell the number of coins currently in circulation and the number of coins locked in the wallets?

Also, is it currently possible to transfer etn from cryptopia to paper wallets? I am asking this as i didn't have any account on etn official site prior to the lock down.

Last question: can I keep my coins on cryptopia if I buy know? Or do I have to get them directly delivered to my paper wallet.

Sorry, I am new to all this, so don't know much.

Ideally keep them in your own wallet but if this isnt a option then they should be fine at cryptopia, just make sure you have all the security measures up to dat such as 2fa, strong passwords and so on

Yet another all night coding session! Each time we've run through the updated code we've found less and less items that needed fixing, and we're down to just a handful to go.
Each time I think we'll get it live, we seem to have missed, but we are SUPER CLOSE! We've literally worked all day and all night and are tantalisingly close to getting this live.
I know I was hopefull to get it live Sunday night, and then I was sure that it would be live Monday night. Working out a firm delivery time for software is a very tricky process, especially when you've introduced thousands of new lines of code and have made major enhancements in a hurry. We started at the weekend with a TON of bugs and errors, and now we have it down to a trickle. We are going to get some sleep and be back on this by lunchtime. Please keep your fingers crossed for a launch later today - I've got past the point of promising it, but we are STRIVING as HARD AS WE CAN to deliver this, and I do truly, understand everyone's frustration. I'm so sorry for these delays, we are nearly there.

This is quite re-assuring. I appreciate the team's dedication and commitment.
Yeah sure, but the fact that the team did not solve all these issues before the launch does not really give me much confidence in the teams programming skills.

thats right, but on the other hand. maybe this project is so hyped that some good hackers wanna have a piece from the cake :-) We will see, they should realease it at least today, otherwise the treast is fully gone i think...
Last minutes coding can't be done in one night with so much modifications. I am happy that they are doing a lot of testing. I hope the code will be enough robust. It is better to have a robust application than a buggy one. Go go devteam! Take your time to deliver something good to not disappoint future users.

sure, but now i don`t think that the users with ther weak passwords were the problem. the problem was the weak security from electroneum site. they had enough money to prior this and they didn`t, thats what i`m thinking about.

Yes and let me reformulate my sentence a little: the fact that they had not solved these security issues before launch COMBINED WITH THE FACT that they have 0 new block chain technology, really makes me question the developers competence. But we will see, it is not clear you need expert developers if you have good marketing and a nice logo. And in terms of distribution between users and the development team, the launch is quite fair compared to other ICOs which is an important parameter for a coin to succeed. I am very split in my overall opinion on electroneum.

It is also my observation that the Electroneum team has brilliant marketers but the dev side is wanting.

You mean this algo depend on memory more than core? Because I am mining LUX which is phi1612 and ZEC/ZEN which ar equihash and 1080 is better than 1070.

Yea it doesn't like the GDDR5X, I dont know about phi612 but equihash is more core heavy than memory.

I would really prefer if Facebook wasn't the default communication method. I understand the value of being active there and I don't mind that at all. I just want the team to add a channel that is not walled off and not indexed by search engines to be used as well. Preferably the Electroneum website but a Tumblr would do as well.

Anybody here test results with EVGA 1080, mine is able to do 600 H/s which is lower than 1070?

Sounds about right, the memory on the GTX1080/ti isn't as good for this algorithm as that on other cards.
