I was a little surprised by the match statistics because I saw that Rio Ave was able to have 48% of "ball possession" and managed to make 4 'shots on goal' even though no goals were scored by Rio Ave. fortunately ramos managed to score 1 goal in 46 minutes which was the winning goal for benfica. ramos and mario continue to compete to be the top scorer in the Portuguese league, that's quite interesting.

I think Benfica entered the field a little nervous. The break for the national teams, the importance of winning to guarantee the best position for the next round with Porto, and the fact that some regular players were not in the starting line-up, caused this situation.

In turn, Rio Ave also played well and without fear. But in the end, the best team won.
The best team always wins but the most things paramount thing is to play what you are known for. There is some outstanding performance that doesn't favor the performer at the end, we call it the fight of a lion, such as what we saw in Rio Ave. Despite playing against the strongest team in the league, They never taught of losing but they fought tirelessly. In this match, I will say it was a narrow escape for Benfica. Mhooethey do better with Porto on their next clash

Sorry guys, I seem to have scrolled the page too quickly so I didn't see that you've tagged my username. Grin
My multibet is mixed with matches from other leagues.

No problem hehehe
Did you stay with the multiples bet until the end?
Because it seems to me that Benfica ruined your bet by winning by only 1 goal difference.
But your bets are still very good.
I don't really like betting on goals under or over, I can't get a good prediction, mainly because several teams can score a goal and not bother trying to score more goals anymore in the match.

This last round (26) I ended up not placing any bets because I didn't think it was ideal, but next round I'll be back.
It's interesting to do multiples in more leagues, but I'm trying to focus here on the Bwin league because I find it easier at the moment.

Does anyone have the courage to make a prediction of the Porto vs Benfica match?  Cheesy

Really strange situtation today, seeing both Benfica and Porto winning by a margin of only one goal. I dont know how much time we see this.

Sorry for all of those bet were over X ammount of goals or with a handicap  Cheesy

Next Rio Ave vs Benfica, I bet with a handicap (-1.25) for Benfica to win and as we know it is very difficult for Benfica not to score many goals in every game. Even so, Rio Ave is also not a difficult opponent considering they are in the middle of the standings.
Man, what a wild ride that match was! Football keeps us on our toes, huh? Benfica took the W, but Rio Ave, they ain't no joke. They showed us that rankings don't mean a thing when you're out there ballin' on the field.

Benfica, though, they flexed their muscle, showing they're a force to be feared. Didn't light up the scoreboard, but they got the job done, and that's what counts. It ain't always about droppin' mad goals, but bringing that heart and that grit to the pitch.
In that match Benfica excelled and won 1 - 0 over Rio Ave and it was clear that Benfica would win because of the strength of the two teams, it can be seen that Benfica has more advantages.
How can you say that ranking doesn't mean anything when you are in the field mate?
It's clear, friend, that Benfica is the team with the number one ranking standings with the acquisition of 71 points, 10 points adrift of Porto, who is in second place, while Rio Ave, the team that was defeated by Benfica, is still in 9th place.
For the team that is in the standings so far, Benfica, which has quite good advantages and strength, cannot even be underestimated by other teams, so Benfica will temporarily become the strongest team.

Benfica are getting close to announcing their title every week. Because they are still on a winning streak and it has become ten games now.

This is a really impressive form and it shows how eager they are to become the champions this time. For three seasons Porto and Sporting have been in charge. This is going to be a championship that Benfica really missed. Besides they are so good at managing this league and the Champions League at the same time as well. They just want to go for the best success they can get while having a wonderful season.
10 points is a very big gap, for me, they already won the league, Porto has to worry about their 2nd place with Braga coming up closer, because Benfica are just too good this season, even after selling a couple of their players.

Next Rio Ave vs Benfica, I bet with a handicap (-1.25) for Benfica to win and as we know it is very difficult for Benfica not to score many goals in every game. Even so, Rio Ave is also not a difficult opponent considering they are in the middle of the standings.

benfica won the game but it was not an easy game for benfica that only managed to score one goal in this game, rio ave that despite being in the middle of the table came into this game with a good performance because in the last 4 games they only had lost in just 1 game, but when they played against big teams they didn't do too badly, when they played against porto and sporting they didn't concede more than 1 goal so I predicted it would be a very difficult game for benfica and as expected benfica he also failed to score many goals in this game, which shows that rio ave is an opponent that makes it difficult for big teams

Finally there is Porto vs Portimonense, I don't bet on this match, maybe this is the match that I think is the most hesitant to bet on with such small odds it's really impossible for us to place a bet. But if I may assume that if you want to get better odds you have to take a risk with a handicap (-1.5) and in my opinion the level of risk is quite large. I'm pretty sure that Porto can win by scoring at least 2 goals in this game.

well, porto has been a team that is not very reliable in terms of good performance as in past seasons, this season they are very unstable and in some games they managed to win thanks to luck, that's why I didn't see porto scoring many goals in this game, the only way for porto to score many goals would be if in this game they had benefited from a penalty, but with a goal from them plus help from the referee (which reduced portimonese) once again porto already had a guaranteed victory, porto has had good luck in games

What are your predictions for these games?

These are the odds of the games:

The odds of making a multiple in the top 4 again do not pay off, as Sporting and Porto's wins do not pay off, they are paying 1.15 and 1.16

The odds for Braga's victory are already paying reasonably well with 1.71, combined with Benfica's victory, gives 2.30 on a multiple.
It's worth it in my opinion.

Another possibility is to bet on matches with lots of goals, both Sporting that will play against the last placed team in the championship, and Porto that will play against a much weaker opponent and with a bad position in the championship.

I'll wait for @rendravolt's predictions to have some idea hehehe.

My multibet is mixed with matches from other leagues.

Well beforehand, maybe I'm a little late sharing my betting predictions because the Sporting vs Santa Clara match has ended with a score of 3-0. In that match I bet over 2.5 goals and my guess was quite right.

For the other match Chaves vs Braga, here I have no doubts betting on Braga's victory, they have been consistent so far, even though we know that in the previous game they drew against Porto.

Next Rio Ave vs Benfica, I bet with a handicap (-1.25) for Benfica to win and as we know it is very difficult for Benfica not to score many goals in every game. Even so, Rio Ave is also not a difficult opponent considering they are in the middle of the standings.

Is it good to leave Alejandro Grimaldo for a younger player ?I don't know, the Young winger has youth , but in these cases sometimes a Player like Grimaldo has the necessary experience to be valued, not only for the Portuguese League but also for the UCL. In these cases I consider leaving the player with more experience, because he already knows what the team's strategy is and he is not just any player, he does his job very well.

What surprises me is that Grimaldo stayed at Benfica for so many years. He practically won the title as soon as the team arrived, and since then no colleague has managed to "steal" his place. An extremely competent and professional player, who usually has excellent seasons. I have some doubts that he will go to Italy, I believe more that he will go to England, since he already commented that he liked to play in the Premier League.

As for Benfica looking for a younger player to replace him, it is normal, as that is Benfica's financial strategy, buying youngsters at low prices and then valuing them.

In the last match of the day, Sporting beat bottom of the league Santa Clara 3-0 at home and continued their pursuit of Braga. Sporting actually managed to break the game open in the first half, scoring 2 goals in 22 minutes.Sporting of course started the second half fast and scored another goal in the first 7 minutes to win the game 3-0.It is encouraging for Sporting to continue their pursuit to qualify for the Champions League. They will now wait for their rivals to drop points this week.

An exciting match in which Sporting dominated during the opening minutes with Paulinho's first goal kicking off as the opener, we saw Santa Clara's side struggle against the Sporting players, and the unexpected second goal from Trincao added to the burden for the opposing team to catch up. behind, even though it was hard to try to score against the opponent's goal it was difficult to keep up with the sporting players to dribble with the ball, and the last goal from Ataques, which was the closing of the match, we can see that a lot of possession was carried out by sporting players.

Main game of round between Braga and Porto ended 0:0. Difficult to comment without watching full game, but from what I saw, equal result reflects game. Benfica and Sporting benefit most from this result. Benfica extend their lead to 10 points and I have no idea what need to happen that they would waste such lead, especially when you see how they play.
Sporting meanwhile is getting closer to Braga and spot in CL qualification. If they will win rescheduled game, gap to Braga will be just 3 points.

Benfica's advantage does not surprise me, even though Benfica has done very well in the UCL, the Portuguese League is still very good for them, all the teams that are in the UCL quarterfinals want not only to win it but also to go very well in their local leagues, for me Benfica is a team that is an example for Portugal, of course without detracting from the others, but I see that Benfica is the team that stands out the most, so an advantage of 10 points is not that much, if you lose 3 times you may lose it, but I don't think they will.

In another order of ideas:

Boost for Juventus as Benfica finds a replacement for their target

Quote
Alejandro Grimaldo is edging closer to leaving Benfica as his contract is due to expire at the end of the season amidst interest from Juventus.

Reports from Portugal via Tuttojuve claim Benfica has already identified a replacement for the Spaniard in the form of Milos Kerkez, a 19-year-old Hungarian full-back who currently plays for AZ Alkmaar.

Juventus have been keeping tabs on Grimaldo for some time and would be happy about this development.

The Italian club is known for its astute dealings in the transfer market and Grimaldo could be a smart signing, given his quality and experience.

However, the Bianconeri could face stiff competition for Grimaldo’s signature, as he has attracted interest from several other top clubs in Europe.

The Spanish defender has been linked with moves to Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, and Napoli, among others, and he could have his pick of suitors when his contract expires.

Sporting win against Santa Clara don't leave any questions - 3:0 and they keep cose distance to Braga who are still 3rd, just 3 points between them.
While Santa Clara probably already forgot when they won last time. Including all competitions, it happened back in middle of November. And if nothing unexpected won't happen, we already know 3 teams which will relegate to 2nd division or play with 3rd team of 2nd Division - it's Santa Clara, Maritimo and Pacos de Ferreira.

It totally does not make sense yet I love VAR despite having failed me many sport tickets. The reason is that now we have a way to replay the action and the referee to see again the action and to decide cold headed, not with the heat of the action that he is following in the game.It has decided and impacted many games, some for the worse but a lot more for the benefit of the teams which without a VAR would have the goal disallowed and not having a look at it again and that is why I love VAR as it most of the times save teams from injustice done unintentionally or intentionally by the referee.
From one perspective VAR kills beauty of football. It's about moments when in questionable moments referee don't raise the flag, let team to score a goal and then celebrate it. And here comes VAR - they notice offside and cancel goal. But I really hated when teams got robbedafter referee mistakes when they didn't noticed bigger or smaller offside or raised flag when there is no offside. So, I prefer to have VAR, even if it kills emotions. But there is one moment - now referee assistants with flag in their hands have much less responsibility.

Vizela defeated casa pia at home and increased their points to 35.  I must say that we watched a match in which both sides played in a balanced game. I have to say that the home side Vizela made better use of the positions they found and scored the goals. They beat their opponent 3-1.
In the match between Vitoria guimaraes and P.Ferreira we didn't see any goals. The hosts guimaraes had more scoring chances but couldn't capitalize on them.
In the last match of the day, Lisbon hosts Santa Clara. Santa clara are bottom of the league so they don't really have a chance against Lisbon. Minute 14 and Sporting leads 1-0.

i understand that the rules must be followed but it is strange that in premier league when a player makes the pass and the player who receives the ball is in an offside position, the referee immediately raises the flag, at least I have seen it that way, but In the Portuguese league, the player made the pass, the other player was already clearly offside, but I continued to run with the ball and made a pass to another player and even scored a goal, whatever the case, that rule is pretty bad

Accordingly, when the position is clearly offside, the play should soon be stopped. Especially because, and it has already happened, in that move a player can be injured by some kind of extra effort he had to make or by any other situation. Which could have been avoided if the play was interrupted.

One of the biggest problems in football in Portugal is refereeing. Despite the efforts of some to try to improve, it still has a long way to go.

the result of this game is somewhat funny, and that Estoril scored a goal at 1 minute, then estoril wasted another great chance to score a goal, and when Estoril scored the second goal the referee said it was offside, although the referee was right , but the annoying thing is that the referee saw this and let the game go on until the goal, one would think that this kind of thing would not happen again in this game, but unfortunately it did, Estoril scored the third goal but the referee said again that it was offside, although once again the referee was right, he let the Estoril player score a goal when he was offside a long time ago these are things that the Portuguese league needs to correct

It's the VAR rules. The referees must let the play end to call the offside. If it's a goal, then VAR checks it, if it's not a goal it will be decided by the referee on the field.

It really doesn't make much sense, when the offside is clear and far from the goal. But, unfortunately, the rules currently exist.

Sporting CP - Santa Clara

Sporting comes into this game as the favorite to win, the odds are very low which confirms Sporting's favoritism even more, that's because Santa Clara are in the last place in the table and in the last 5 games they haven't won any game and will play against sporting that comes into this game with a sequence of 4 consecutive victories, I think that Santa Clara will be defeated in this game and will be relegated this season

Vitoria de Guimaraes - Pacos de Ferreira

this is an unpredictable game, although Vitória is in a good position, they are currently in the 5th position, they come into this game with a sequence of 2 defeats, it is true that they had a very difficult game against benfica in their last game, but before they lost against arouca while their opponent Pacos de Ferreira managed to do well when they played against arouca, they got a draw, that's why I think that Pacos de Ferreira can also get a win or a draw in this game

Vizela - Casa Pia AC

without a doubt this is another unpredictable game, both teams come from mixed results in the last 5 games and have the same performances in the last 5 games, I don't see who can win, so I don't risk making a guess

Indeed, if we look at matches in other leagues, the referee will do the same thing and let the ball enter the goal or leave the field, then the referee will decide whether it is offside or not. Apart from all that, I think this is still very rational and these regulations cannot be denied. However, this Estoril victory was so meaningful to continue to be able to stay away from the relegation zone.
