I got it working on 16.04. But sync took many days even I downloaded chain backup. And now when I started it again it started reindex blocks and going to take another forever to accomplish.

Is there any way to sweep keys from coinomi wallet to desktop wallet? PotCoin is not supported there anymore.

I think we need working wallet for iPhone and Android especially. Where should be sweep key option. And we also might need chain swap to accomplish that stable wallet issue. There is no enough developers to run this show independent blockchain like it currently. I would rather to see higher fees for working apps,security and better exchange and wallet spread.

Might be an option. Staking doesn't even work properly. I've been trying to message the Potcoin team for like a year about 0.5% minting returns instead of 5% and all I get is "we're looking into it" with nothing. I stopped minting because it's a waste of time and resources.

Yes, I have seen the representative of unnamed ( https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/tillkoeln-146692 ) here, who is pretty much active in the forum. Just reach out to him and maybe he can help you list fast this coin. This one is already an old coin, so won't be any trouble to list this. Won't advise waves.exchange. They migrated to new one but seems they can't attract traders.

How will the transition to ERC20 work? Will it be decentralized or will there be a centralized service that does it?

I think ERC20 is getting a bit old. PotCoin is a good coin. They should have bigger goals. Like they should be an Ethereum 2.0 Proof-of-Stake Shard where PotCoin is the gas fee token. Wait & see on Ethereum a few more months to see what's possible when Ethereum 2.0 is out.
