Had a look but couldn't find POT on there anywhere. BUT, I did find Doge which is another dinosaur wallet that I have with well over a half million in so that was a very handy headsup, thank you very much for that Mate.

for dogecoin you can use multidoge Smiley

Well, a group including myself would like to start a holding of this coin.

Can the development team update us on the latest advances (apps, store counts) of actual usage of potcoin?

Thanks!

Hi there POT people, just wondering if anyone could help me out.

I mined a fair bit of potcoin a few years back, just found it again on my laptop and am preety fooken happy with the result, been screwing around for the last few days trying to update my dinosaur wallet and have finally done so but am now 173 weeks behind with the blockchain, I tried the bootstrap update on the official website but it turned out as a 404 response.
I currently have two hundred thousand + POT sitting idle that I would like to start trading with but being in a very Rural part of Aus and on a crappy sattelite internet connection now with a measly 20 gig limit per month I am thinking it will take a while.... any other options I can try ?

Thanks in advance  Grin SC.

have you tried http://cryptochainer.com/dir/ ?

I have used them to speed up a couple blockchain downloads lately. Still might cap your data limit though haha

I don't understand what this mess is all about.

I am a very happy potcoin holder.
I am holding pot since it's birth, bought it since mintpal days together with dope.
So far potcoin return and volume is much better than dope, which was always on a delisting danger on bittrex, so can't compare dope capabilities to pot which is greater by far.
very happy to hold pot, very satisfied with the returns and service.
When dope will deliver I will be happy with this one too but so far it's just a little market.

so you dope ppl please first deliver than... will talk

totally agree - he come regulary in that post that troll to promote his multiple-failed what is now even get a centralized ad-system coin (wtf). lol

fake news comment coming from an operator of a competitive coin... not saying you're lying...just saying I am a little skeptical. I will need to do some research though because I have not been as actively involved in the Pot Coin community recently.

You have every right to be skeptical bud, I encourage you to do your own research and come to your own conclusions as the point that I am really trying to make is that you should be very careful about what information and people you trust in the crypto world. Too many phonies and scammers out there.

lol - not you again Smiley

Yes, I'm an asshole
PotCoin disappointed me, I had invested a few exchanges and did not get the desired return, I hope one day will show the one that came.

If you wait for a few more days (or weeks), then you will. I didn't hold any POT at this point, the only time I traded them during the hype of 4/20, but I can see that it's movement is not fast, hence day trading is not advisable, nor holding only for a few days. You can feel the effect after quite a long time, like DOGE.

I'm hella interested Potcoin and what it's all about, and Where can I get some?

You can get from many exchanges where these are being traded. I can recommend Bittrex as I also use the only exchange for long time. You can follow the link to get easy access to the specified market: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-POT

Hi, I’ve been asked to clarify where that last news could have originated.

About two weeks ago someone came in our business, Satoshi Counter, to talk about potcoin. I was interested in learning more, We looked at the potwallet/dispensary interface together and we created an account to test it out, he had written Bitcoin Embassy as the merchant name which I then changed to btcmbc, (possible source of confusion). I was asked if he could leave a sign in the store saying that we accept potcoin, I was clearly opposed to it for numerous reasons.

Satoshi Counter has been making Shapeshift available to it's customer for many months. A few weeks prior to this visit we helped two peoples who had been gifted Potcoin at an event to shift their potcoin into fiat.

I'm usually not a big fan of using the term "fake news" but there was a whole lot of wrong and false assumption in this “news”.  As for defining the above as a partnership, I believe, is quite a stretch of the imagination. I also believe both parties in a "partnership" should be made aware of public announcement before-hand to avoid unfortunate confusion.

We go to great lengths to educate customers about the risk posed by the irreversibly of bitcoin transaction and warn them of any investment scheme funded through Bitcoins.
Despite what happened I am grateful to the people who took their time to talk to me about the potcoin. At this time I personally have not studied potcoin enough to have an opinions about it as a store of value.

Please correct / delete the any remaining mention of bitcoin embassy + potcoin where possible.

Thank You.

Ps: This is my personal option and not the Bitcoin Embassy's.

Let's call it what it really is...

This is not the first time that Potcoin has made fake announcements and lied to its community.

Who remembers the mysterious bigwig from silicon valley who was supposed to join the team about 6 months ago? Or the army of photoshopped Potcoin ATM machines that was supposed to roll out?

Both of these "fake news" aka "lies" took Potcoin from a dormant state to where it was just prior to 4/20.

Now, we once again see the same behavior repeated.

How many more lies and displays of lack of integrity will the Potcoin community tolerate? The dev does not even interact with the community...

Potcoin has never released fake news and never intends to. The "mysterious bigwig" you are referring to is well on board its been months. As for the army of photoshopped ATM's, Potcoin had actual Potcoin ATM's at River Rock Dispensaries back in the day, no photoshop there. You are also referring to the old dev team (back in 2014) as we have never worked on any ATM's.

Potcoin's tech and dev team is growing strong and more great news to be released shortly.
