Can't i just have them both, LOL. But on a more serious note, life is more than power or money, i think LOVE is much more important, nothing beats the love of family and friends. But between power and money i think it will always depend on the individual you ask, the kind of family they come from and their country as well. For me i would not really bother too much about power cause of my personality, i would just prefer to have enough money (not necessarily too wealthy) to take care of my family and loved ones so that we can live happily without financial problems.

Love is important character for every human been to exhibit. You can have love but lack money and still be irrelevant in the family or the neighbourhood. People don't care about love if it is not backed with money . The society only respect people who have money . Money is important when showing love to people.

Is there any difference between money and power? Money works hand to hand with power and I don't think there is anything much we need to deliberate about. Money gives power but power give money but not in all circumstances. We should have it in mind that power could overtake money. Just like a government of a state that does not have money compared to the richest man in such state. There will be a big respect for the person on position.

Most replies and contributions on this topic indicates money is preferred to acquiring power. Most see having money as the most important thing as a reply on here stated that money is everything.
I know fully well the social class upgrade and all other affluent things that could be achieved with money in your pockets. While reading some replies on here, it's obvious that money controls the thoughts and actions of men and I'm not anymore surprised at why money is preferred.

I think anything that influences your actions has some sort of hold over you.
We should control money and not let money control and corrupt us

I go for money , because you hardly get recognized if you don't have money, in some places before
Power will be given to you, they have to look at your final status before they will reason to give you power.
Money can bring you power when you don't have power while the reverse is the case with power, Where it's less likely you get power when you don't have money.

To me, power without money is useless, because a man said to have power can at some point be told to shut up simply because he has no money to back up his words with cash in the society we find ourselves this days, as currently power and money rule the world.

So i think before deciding which one I will choose, let me throw small light on these two concepts (money & power)

** Power is simply the ability to influence or direct the behaviour of others.
While
** Money is a commodity generally accepted to be used as a medium of exchange of goods and services.

So of what value will it be to have the ability to influence the action of others but no commodity as a medium of exchange???

So for me, I choose money over power.

I suppose you mean political power? I don't want political power that is targeted at oppressing but to serve the people and free them from poverty, sickness and oppression. The kind of power expression that one see especially is Africa is a disgrace to the concept of political power. Political officeholders now see themselves as demigods. Instead of serving the people, they are lords over them. I detest this abuse of power.

Money is good when is acquired legally. I want more money but not to live an extravagant life. I need money because my desire is to meet my needs and touch people positively around my community. Flamboyant show of money is not my own view of money.

For your question, give me money because money gives you power.

Money is answerable for everything. Except death, and some times money buy fixed life in order, it is some body that don't know the power of money will dislike money or will say money is not power, using political campaign or contestants as example, if you have no money no political group will allow you to be their qualify candidate or aspirants. Today in the world no president of country that does not start from some where. at least have money before having political ambition

Power is an abstract idea that is floating in the air. And anyone can acquire Power at anytime and anywhere. When you talk of power or money, you are bringing two entirely different concepts. Yes. Power brings money and money brings power. They are pariperture. In the Biblical inference, Solomon was thinking of what to ask God and finally he asked for wisdom. And wisdom brought everything he needed. Therefore, from your title or question, I prefer taking money because money brings everything plus power more than power brings power. If you have money, people will work for you and you do what you want. But if you have power only without money my brother that is useless. Nobody will come close to you. And might only be dictator without followers.

There are different kinds of powers in the world.
Political Power
Economic power
Military power
Physical power
All those powers are under the control of the economic power.
