I don't know yet when exactly the wallet, the faucet and nodes will be up and running. That's why I strongly recommend to subscribe on findcoin.info - and don't pay too much attention to countdown for now
Anyway, good point about Xmas - I think, if we'll be ready, say, on 23/12 - we'll launch then; if we'll not - we'll launch it 27/12.
I don't know about other countries, but we'll have holidays till 12/01/15, so for me there will be a lot of time to devote to FindCoin

Since neither of us are experienced devs (I'm not dev at all), and we do this in our spare time after work, maybe for 5-6 hours per day, it's getting longer than expected
