Cucurella better to shut up his mouth, he forget that he's not playing with Spanish teammates instead he's playing with championship level players. Haaland showed who's in front of Cucurella and his goal to Chelsea really make Cucurella can't do anything against Haaland.

It's not surprising to see Chelsea lose against Manchester City even though they're playing in their home.

Chill, mate. Don't take it personally. Even Haaland was feeling fine with it, and yeah, it was only a song and nothing personal. Haaland knew that if Cucu was not seriously mocking him, and it's just a bit of banter from Cucu to the Haaland. Also, on haaland's interview, and he said that Cucu was a funny man.

Haaland seems to be a chill dude. I remember he found it funny when Palmer listened in on their team talk before the freekick. This is a common thing in football. No reason to hate haaland at all.

it's nothing but pure sportsmanship that's going on between cucu and halland. Dude is a funny man that finds a way of playing around and just composed that song to celebrate his victory at the Euros. It's better to even look at it as a show of acknowledgement that halland is a great force to be played against as a defender in the EPL. Chelsea and man city have never had serious rivalry for a while because they aren't a match in terms of thier strength and individual quality. Let's take the food side from this and that's that wining the euros has boosted the confidence of cucu better than it was at the last season. He now sees himself as a strong defender even though they lost against the city side, he still made his mark in the mark and has shown that in games to come Chelsea defence will be a bit solid in under his watch.

First Game week is over. It doesn’t look like teams have looked different from last season. They just continued from where they stopped last season. The newly promoted teams doesn’t look too different from the ones that got relegated.

Maybe not for Leicester City who returned to the EPL with great ambition and made Tottenham bow down to a draw by them. Although Leicester's chances of surviving are not great, but just seeing them come back gives me a little hope that this club seems to be trying to give their best. In the first match against Tottenham, this club was quite good so they were able to be made nervous, especially Vardy return it brought an exciting atmosphere to the EPL.

I congratulate Jamie Vardy, despite his advanced age, he is still playing in the Premier League, which is a top-level league. He made a big impact against Tottenham in the match played yesterday. He scored a goal but saved a point for his team. He also became the man of the match. Vardy is a living example of how to play from bottom to top. If he does not experience injury problems, he can play comfortably in this league for 2-3 more years.
Of course, it was a nice performance from Jamie vardy yesterday against Tottenham Hotspur, because after the 1 goal down in the first half I almost concluded that Tottenham is going to take the lead because though the odd that was given to Tottenham was really a winning odd but to my greatest surprise Leicester city was able to level the game 1-1 score draw In the second half... what a great achievement from Leicester city in their first game of the season!

Looking at the premier league table Brighton still remains at the top with 1 goal different in their first game of the season. However, I think their second match is going to determine if they are going to still remains at the top of premier league table.

Manchester City didn’t even look blunt. They resumed their usual routine of winning games. Arsenal and Liverpool got their first 3 points without much sweat. Manchester United struggled against Fulham side but managed to secured a narrow victory towards the end of the match. Chelsea are still trying to arrange their squad before they can compete effectively. New signings are coming in everyday and it’ll hinder their growth as they have so many players who want to play.

Manchester United have really improved their defense and that is a good thing because they had a lot of problems in defense last season. I also hope to see Leny Yoro's performance because he is considered one of the talented young defenders at the moment. Unfortunately, an injury made him out for 3 months and that is not a short time. De Ligt is expected to help the defense and he came at the right time. His performance with Munich was not so good but I think De Ligt is still one of the best center backs at the moment.
It won't be easy for Yoro because with such a long injury, it's certain that he'll have to adapt his performance again and it's not an easy thing to get back to the way he was.
We can probably take an example of Mount's case last season where when he was injured several times with a long duration, his condition became more difficult in terms of adaptation and ended in failure in the first season.
The hope is of course that Yoro does not find something like that but in this case Manchester United must also have considerations for the worst possibilities like this.
On the other hand, with the presence of De Ligt and Mazraoui it is clear that this will add to the defense to be even better because after all they have to prepare because the season is ready to start now and there will be no more time to relax.

Manchester United have indeed made improvements in their defense, which is a positive development considering the issues they faced last season. I am also looking forward to seeing Leny Yoro's performance as he is considered a talented young defender. Unfortunately, his three-month injury layoff will require him to readjust his performance, which can be challenging. Nonetheless, the addition of De Ligt is expected to strengthen the defense. It is important for Manchester United to be prepared for any potential setbacks and to ensure the team is ready for the upcoming season.

It was not about Latvia and Calcedio alone. Enzo Fernandez did make quality contributions likewise during that game. I think they shouldn't have substituted Latvia but due to him limping, they had to do that to avoid further cases of injuries. A plenty should have been awarded honestly for Chelsea as that ball was well seen to have come in contact with Kovacic. It shows how much the officiating from last season has not even upgraded.

I wonder why they also kicked Raheem Sterling out of the game, during the last game against Manchester City you'll always want to see him fighting to make sure that they lose maybe to hurt Josep Pep Guardiola.
Todd Boehly looked vexed after the game. He has done good business but what they need right now has got to be the man below. Who saw Nicholas Jackson yesterday? I'm not a fan but hugely disappointed ASF. Victor Oshime is the best shot for Chelsea leading the attack.
I do agree that Osimhen would be insanely good for them without a doubt, but we also need to remember that Napoli is asking 100+ million for him, the last report I remember was 130 million which I think is insane and totally not worth it at all. Doesn't mean Chelsea doesn't need him, of course they need him, but paying 100+ million for Osimhen just because you need him makes no sense to me.

Latest talk was 100+Lukaku, meaning they just pay 100 million only and give Lukaku away too, and Napoli would be willing to do that, but Lukaku is like 20-30 million anyway, so it is not going to be fair for Chelsea again. I think Chelsea should look for someone else, paying that much makes no sense to me at all, doesn't seem reasonable.

GOAL says that Leicester is likely to have two point deduction punishments because of allegedly breaching spending rules.

While smaller teams are receiving penalties for breaches as it has to be, big teams aren't treated the same. Manchester City has numerous breaches in the Premier League so far. It must be like 115 charges against them.

I hope this injustice comes to an end this November when their case is going to be at bar. People are making memes out of it but this has really become a serious problem. It isn't fair against other teams.  Sad

Yes, sometimes that's how current law, they side with clubs that have rich finances, maybe they also use insiders and bribe individuals who are responsible for handling this problem so that their violations are completely ignored, the FA should have a responsibility that not only burdens the lower clubs, they must also be responsible as they should so that no one feels disadvantaged.
If we look further, Manchester City actually clearly spends more than compared to Everton or Leicester City, but for some reason they seem to turn a blind eye that happened in the last 3 years.

-snip-but with the experience he has I think De Ligt is still good enough to be an addition to the Manchester United defense line, especially with Yoro's injury which was actually very much expected to make a breakthrough in the defense line, but it still cannot be implemented so that De Ligt can fill that position for the next few months and to make a better adventure at the new club.

The biggest reason behind Manchester United's poor performances in previous seasons has been their poor defensive lineup but perhaps they have strengthened their defense a bit this season. When the defense is strong, players in every position of the team can play without worry and give their best. In the last few seasons we have seen Manchester United only deteriorate in performance instead of improving gradually but we have high expectations from Manchester United in the coming season. Although they had some injury problems in the last season, Manchester United may not have any injury problems in the next season, then again they have recruited a defender to their club. All in all, a good season is waiting for them.

The performance should be improved as much as if the performance is improved they will be able to play the next season's Champions League. I hope Manchester United management and players will keep this in mind.

Yes, if the team's defense is good then it can perform very well in the attack department.  Because even if the team attacks on the opposite side, those who stay at the goal point can basically perform for a long time without thinking, especially counter attacks are the best place to score the most goals. But in this case, Manchester United plays a very aggressive role, but their playing style is very good and improved in this new season, although they lost the friendly match against Manchester City, but they performed well in the main game. But I think he will definitely put up a strong performance in this new season.

Cucurella is a repellent guy to me honestly.  Sad  After hearing him singing a ridiculous song about Haaland, I started to think about him like that more. He looked very assertive with that but we didn't see any good performance by him in this game. What happened? Wasn't Haaland going to tremble?  Tongue  This is a really funny guy.

Anyway, Manchester City started nicely as expected. As a Chelsea fan in the PL, I'm sad to see this team in bad shape. Boehly shouldn't be the chairman. He is a disgrace. Chelsea deserves a person who KNOWS about football for real.

I think we must be fine if FA follows the procedure for Manchester City's 115 breaches. Manchester City's hearing is in September. Also, there's no ETA for when City's case is going to be finished too. Even if it's said to be November, delays can also happen and take longer than your expectation. This sounds unfair, but considering City breaches it 115 times, it may be a time-consuming task for FA.

Let’s get this thing straight up, there’s Injustice when it comes to dealing with bigger clubs and their counter parts. Manchester City counts have been there since before even that of Everton or Nottingham forest last season, now they have completed that of Leicester City which is why everyone is pointing fingers at Manchester city cases. It is reported that the hearing will start this November and we could get the results next year 2025 Q1. A lesser punishment to Manchester city would definitely cause an uproar.

As  espected Mancehster City won again Chelsea.
Halland back on track storing a goal
First 3 points of the season for Guardiola but there are a lot more games this season, if they manage to go further in champions they can even reach 70 played games.
Good performance from Kevn De Bruyne

They weren’t that outstanding yesterday to be honest but I agree that they were very conservative of trying to play all attack against Chelsea because of how they were blown off last season. I see Pep trying to maximize the players at his disposal, although Kovacic was outstanding they lacked balance in the midfield without Rodri, against a more clinical side they Would had conceded, but overall it’s a good start for them

There are players who doesn't find it professional enough to banter words with their fellow players but will go any length to respond whoever says ills things about them on the media by teaching them a deep lesson on the pitch and if you ask me, I think Erling Haaland falls in that category. Cucurella without doubt had a very impressive performance with the Spain national team during their campaign in the summer European Championship of which they won but taunting Haaland in his post trophy celebration party was unexpected of him and that's why the Norwegian striker decided to do his own talking on the pitch yesterday. Cucurella did his best in Chelsea's game against Manchester City yesterday nu Haaland the better of him

Yeahz! I cannot forget how Leicester City and Everton weren't left out. They deducted mandatory points from them which they also used as motivation during most of the game last season. I'm so proud of Sean Dyche for what he has done for the club Everton but this is the season I'm expecting them relegated. I hope they fight like hell. Same way they did last season.

Manchester City shouldn't be exempted and I'm in full support of all you have said above truthfully. I don't wish failure on City but, if they're found to have breached all these rules, we don't want them pardoned. November it is then. We will see what happens.

Also why do I also feel like VAR and most of the officiating officials are being partial and supports City. Anybody see's that too.
This is why most  people are recently saying that the system is not transparent and are corrupt, I believe that when any team breaks the FFP rules, they should be facing the consequences of that which is a deduction of points or any other punishment that suits the level of offence they committed but then I wonder why Everton and other teams are getting punishments whereas Manchester City is getting a special treatment by the FFP, it would be very unfair to Everton and those other teams if City are guilty of the rules they breached and still pardoned like nothing happened, anyways no offence to City fans, your club plays good football and got good players but I also feel the team is being favoured mostly by the VAR and some referees in some matches.

The bigger clubs that competed in this first match, they all managed to win from their opponents. This was a satisfying first match though.

This is quite an interesting match between Newcastle vs Southampton. Fabian Schar got a red card in the 28th minute. So Newcastle played with only 10 players, their ball possession dropped drastically, their defense was very threatened, but they were able to take advantage of the only opportunity to score a goal and were able to defend the goal from many opponent attacks. Cool, for Newcastle.
Fabian Schar messed up. I asked myself always if that act was really necessary. Honestly, in my opinion he shouldn't have done that. Up in my head, I don't feel like it was meant to be red carded but the match officials has also done their own part of every. It was great of them to see that they went ahead to win that game after the goal for joelintino.

Well, I don't think I have seen enough of how good Arne Slot has been for Liverpool but I will pay close attention next week most definitely
They're also amongst clubs that played well during the first fixture of a new season.

Could the end score for this game between Chelsea and Manchester City be 1-1?

It was really unnecessary of him to headbutt the other player. It put his team at the disadvantage. They were doing really well but his red card put them a step back. But thankfully, they won. I don’t think it's good getting a red card at the start of the season. But I think he deserves the red card though.

Liverpool’s next game will be against Brentford, a much relatively stronger opponent compared to Ipswich Town, who has recently been promoted to the Premier League. We need to see more from Arne Slot and his version of Liverpool to say how well he will do in Liverpool and if he will be able to replace Klopp successfully.

The match between Manchester City and Chelsea has ended 2-0 and honestly, I am not surprised. I knew Manchester City would win this match. Chelsea keeps disappointing me with their performance especially after they spent this much money buying players.

This was expected after LCFC lost their PSR appeal. A 2-point deduction is not bad compared to what Everton received.
