Liverpool has surpassed my expectations, I didn’t imagine they would be currently occupying the top spot in the league this season. Although the point difference is just 5 points, their performance so far have been impressive. Manchester City are surprisingly lagging behind, and with the inconsistency of teams likes Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea, Liverpool have positioned themselves as title favorites this season. Liverpool have a strong chance of winning the league this season but only if they can maintain this momentum and avoid any setback.

If I monitor Manchester City and am a little surprised by their performance lately this season at least until the 11th round.
Liverpool's performance is beyond what I thought also with the intention that they will not be like Manchester City because Liverpool this season is no longer with Jurgen Klopp, but Arne Slot has been able to maintain a level of team stability that is almost perfect.
The difference between Manchester City and Liverpool at this time with 5 points is not difficult for Pep Guardiola to catch up. At least their current position can still make Liverpool not safe in 1st place in the standings. This means that the English Premier League is still in a shifting position.
Man city's performance lately has been a bit disappointing we would not have expected them to get bad results from 4 matches in all competitions but I do not 100% blame pep guardiola important players who are injured are also an important factor causing all of that, on the other hand liverpool so far have had pleasant days the positive trend they have done has paid off so that they have managed to occupy the top position in the premier league and UCL competition. The progress shown by liverpool is an important warning for man city that this season they must not make the slightest mistake and immediately fix what is wrong in their squad, because it is not impossible that the 5 point difference for now could be wider again in the coming weeks.

The truth of the matter is that  the league is still very fresh,  they still have like 27 more matches to play, so a five points gap is actually nothing, because it can be erase easily if they lost two straight games or they draw one and lose another, so if Liverpool feel complacent and decide to put in a below pair performance thinking that five points lead is very big, it's definitely going to be at their own risk because five points gap is not big at all, especially when their are so many games left to play.

So in other for them to win the premier league title this season, they just have to continue with the same Vien of form and play as if they aren't leading the league, because at this point complacency is actually going to be their greatest enemy which they must overcome if they really want to be crown champions at the end of the season.

Then lastly, if Manchester city want to compete and retain the title that they won last season, they must improve on their current form by getting the desired result weeks in weeks out and be hoping that Liverpool drops point at some point during the season, because consistency is very much important in the race for the premier league title.

I'm not saying 100% Liverpool have won the League. That's why I said Man City didn't really regress, that means you understand how much I also expect Man City to be champions again. Don't get me wrong, please read carefully. Precisely with Liverpool back in the title race, Man City are required not to let their guard down because the Premier League can always present surprises. Isn't that a good and healthy challenge for Pep Guardiola? Roll Eyes
The level of competition in the EPL is more competitive than last season, just look at how Liverpool has performed since being handled by Arne Slot, they have always performed consistently and managed to surpass the points collected by Man City. Guardiola must work hard if he wants to retain the title he won last season, the defeats experienced in two consecutive matches must be used as a turning point to achieve victory in the next game. This season's surprise was truly unexpected by Man City, especially at the same time they had to lose their midfield general who was always the creator of attacks.

So far only Liverpool has consistently maintained their winning streak, and if we compare it with others, only Liverpool is currently on track for the championship. Out of 14 matches, they only lost once at the beginning of the season, Nottingham Forest, and drew when they faced Arsenal. Liverpool consistently holds a 12-game winning streak, this shows their seriousness to win all events from this session. They also have complete players, they don't have an injured main player on the bench, and they are perfect so far, with nothing to worry about who the players to be fielded, because Arni Slot has many stock players to play the full season.

Manchester United has actually conducted two evaluations of Ten Hag performance before, but it is quite strange if at that time they still continue to maintain Ten Hag as a coach, honestly as a team that has a great championship history and has spent hundreds of millions of euros, of course winning the FA trophy with beating Manchester City is not something that is commensurate and is a reason to keep Ten Hag, Because after all the series of results and bad records obtained by ten hag in the league actually shows his inability to train actually, the arrival of amorim gives new hope for them at this time, but I think manchester united cannot charge him with high targets in his first season of coaching, because with the current poor condition of manchester united then he needs time to fix it.

People actually think the board use Ten Hag win against Manchester city as the only yard stick to still keep in the job even when the hierarchy made it clear that they went for many coaches but accessing the market then they didn’t find someone better than him and with his second season then hampered by injuries they just have to give him his Chance even though they shouldn’t have extended his contract  then but that also was to give a reason that the board is behind him.

This new Manager has been tasked to bring the best out of this  players as the club isn’t looking to buy players at the moment after they have spent above $600m for the players he signed. Now I think Amorim wouldn’t find it easy but this players are quality that should they need to improve or turn they can do that but most of this players are not even showing and I think after Amorim first season now they could be departures as that is the only way they can sign new players

Here are the full fixtures for this weekend together with the odds (by duelbits) for the Matchday 12:

The one that interests me the most is Man City Vs Tottenham. There's a lot of pressure on Pep Guardiola to win this one and prove that the 4-games losing streak was just a temporary flop and things will go back to normal.

It's also a debut for Ruben Amorim who will lead Man United in an away game against Ipswich. The team's morale seemed to improve under the interim management of Ruud Van Nistelroy so I expect a win for United.

TBH, I don't have any confidence in who will get the title this season, because the points difference between Liverpool and Man City is not too far, only 5 points and it is very easy to catch up. There is no guarantee that Liverpool will continue to provide a large score difference, but I believe that the competition will continue to occur before the two teams have a difference of 9 points or above.
On the one hand, when the transfer market opens, many teams will experience changes between increasing performance or decreasing performance.
We'll see after the next 2 months.

Manchester United is already late in being the English Premier League contenders, what Amorim can comfortably achieve is top 4, unless Liverpool begins to misbehave just as Manchester city is doing. But the possibility of this happening is so low.
Agreed!!
Lets set the record straight...Top 6 is not happening for Manchester United, the board chose to keep Erik Ten Hag after beating City and thinking things will improve but instead it was their worst decision as the man was on his way out but they entertained him and has left the team 6 feet under now...but with the coming of Amorim, anything below 10 should be a win for the club and that should be what to aim for as the team is undergoing surgery.

I'm of the opinion that the team is unlikely to start winning immediately after the appointment of a new coach, so Manchester United really won't be able to claim anything soon, but I think they will easily get into the top 10 if the coach does enough. Top 6 is really an impossible task this season, but next season it's quite possible. The main thing is that the management in case of anything from now on will not tolerate so long

Amorim does not need to target the top 5/6 positions, because as long as he can fix the chaos that Erik Ten Hag did, Amorim will definitely get full support from the club. So Amorim current task is to focus on trying to stabilize and restore the confidence of his players that has long been buried by Ten Hag. Give players comfort, establish good relationships with coaches not only on the field but also off the field to show a sense of togetherness.
Even if it is not a must to finish in the top 5/6, Amorim needs to improve Man United position in EPL standings. Man United is in 13th place, it is not a proper position for a big team like Man United. The club management must expect a better position, they must ask Amorim to return Man United into the top 10 soon. However, it is surely not easy, Amorim should fix the problems in Man United squad first. Improving the players' confidence, applying a better tactic, and making a good relationship among the players are some basic matters that Amorim need to take a serious attention. This may take time but I'm sure Amorim can do it well. He has proven his capability in Sporting, he should do the same way in Man United.

It would be really bold to claim top 6 isn't realistic for Manchester United. We have left only 11 weeks behind and the point difference with Brighton in 6th place is only 4. Nothing is impossible.  Wink

But will it be easy for them? Hell no! They have many clubs ahead of them to overtake first. They just need to be patient and keep consistency with wins as of now.

I hope Amorim can bring back the real spirit of this club. Since Ferguson times, we haven't watched the real Manchester United. Just bring in the players you need and fight with all you have!

No need to straighten it out and no need to tell all their statistics while they were still coached by Erik Ten Hag because under Ten Hag they struggled to score goals and struggled to win even though their opponents were not the dominant team or the team that was favored to win.

Manchester United under Amorim if they improve, their achievement can only be in the top four and that's if Chelsea and Arsenal fail to get points every week. If possible Liverpool and Manchester City also experience poor performances. The problem is, teams like Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Newcastle are also struggling every week.

You talk as if you have the confidence that Liverpool have already won the league. For me I still believe that the league is still open for any of the top teams to win.  I know Liverpool have been doing very well so far but they can still be stopped before the season comes to an end. They are just simply enjoying the moment and I don't have confidence that they will be able to sustain this because the team as it is now is built on two or three players with Mo Salah as the main person.

Manchester City can still win the league if they start winning all their matches and scoring many goals. It is only Arsenal that I have doubts in winning the league based on their history.

There is no way Liverpool performance has in anyway affected Manchester city. Manchester city and Liverpool hasn't played each other this season. They are two different clubs and they have their distinct ways of achieving their goals. Manchester city performance this season is mainly attributed to their players being injured. Lasting season Arsenal performed far better than Liverpool is doing this season, why didn't it affect Manchester city to be having bad results? I have never seen where another team good performance is responsible for another bad performances. A team suddenly starts performing badly once they lose their to players either through injuries or through sales. But in the case of Manchester city, injury is the primary source of their bad performances currently.
This could be very true, I am sure that Liverpool being good has nothing to do with City losing, those are totally irrelevant subjects. I still think Rodri is the only reason why they are doing badly right now, as long as they find a solution to him being missing, we are going to end up with a great return eventually.
Rodri alone is not what's responsible for the four consecutive disappointing result man city has suffered. though his absent is obviously felt most especially at the midfield that led to Bournemouth outplaying them and eventually winning them, but then, the absence of a lot of other players made it difficult for them to hold on well amidst the absent of Rodri. I think Kevin de Bryne and Doku are the other players that stands as the powerhouse of that Manchester city team and obviously they were missing out in most of those four games in some way.

there is no way Manchester city poor performance won't be a motivation for Liverpool to put in additional effort because this is a clear chance that looks like this is their season of winning the English premier league. so far, they have been doing well across leagues and what's going to cloud their mind is the possibility of winning both the EPL and the UCL and from how the result is going, they might likely do that if man city doesn't get things right on time.

I believe there aren't that many great results without a doubt, it shouldn't really be a trouble and we need to focus on how to get greater returns on profit, that should be a great deal for a lot better income and a lot better profits for us as well because betting on City is easy, sure they did end up losing for a while, but that can't go on, so betting on them now should be easier because eventually they will get back to winning and we will be there with our tickets to profit when they do.

Their decision to keep the previous ten hag with a series of defeats actually caused a lot of controversy and questions from fans, although maybe currently Manchester United is in a critical condition but I think the arrival of Amorim at least gives hope for their revival later,  the season has entered its 11th week and there are still 27 games left for Manchester United to improve their current position, ending the season in the 6th position may seem difficult, but if you reflect on what happened to Chelsea in end last season of course Manchester hopes still any, while the hope of playing in the Champions League next seaso, of course winning the Europa League this season could be an alternative path for them if they fail to end the season in the league zone champions this season.

Yes, retaining Ten Hag was the biggest mistake made by Manchester United management, they seemed to turn a blind eye to what happened to the club during his leadership. Manchester United's downfall was due to Ten Hag's inability to manage the team well, in fact, Van Nistelrooy was able to achieve 3 wins in four matches, whereas in the Ten Hag era, Manchester United always had difficulty achieving victory.

The EPL has just finished playing 11 games, there are still 27 games left until the end of the season, meaning that Manchester United still has the chance to finish in a better position (maybe in the top 6), that too depends on the results achieved during Amorim's leadership. The spirit of the players who managed to achieve positive results under Van Nistelrooy's leadership needs to be maintained so that they can improve their position in the standings.
