I don’t think Chelsea will do well this season either. They just keep on signing players without results. They have signed Mudryk, Nkunku, Lukaku and many proven players who have performed very well in other teams but when they join Chelsea they just flop.
Maybe it is too early to conclude. it was just Chelsea's first game, and they faced a really tough opponent. We will be able to predict ehre they wil end up in the table after a few more games.

I don’t think Arsenal will be able to challenge Manchester City for the title like they have done in the last season. Manchester City is looking very good this season, to be honest. Liverpool has got a new manager and also got their first victory, but we have more to see from him.
Manchester City have been able to maintain a very consistent performance for the past two years I don't see any seasoning where they have not played at their very best. They do well in the second part of the season than in the first, the reason for them being able to maintain the title because when other teams are tiring up is the time that they are firing.
For Liverpool with their new coach, they still look good.

This is quite an interesting match between Newcastle vs Southampton. Fabian Schar got a red card in the 28th minute. So Newcastle played with only 10 players, their ball possession dropped drastically, their defense was very threatened, but they were able to take advantage of the only opportunity to score a goal and were able to defend the goal from many opponent attacks. Cool, for Newcastle.
That was gritty from Newcastle United, playing with a man down & winning is no small feat tbh. The red card was a curious decision tho, I still don’t get it. After Fabian Schar was sent off, I expected Southampton to win that game with the way they were pressing 10-man Newcastle till the end of the game.
E. Howe was really smart enough and ready with various conditions on the field at that time, so they used a strategy to further expand the movement of their players. And what made it memorable again was Newcastle scored a goal when their position was only ten, and it was also the only shot on target that Newcastle had. I also really admire Newcastle's defense, that many attacks from Southampton and none of them became goals.

Cucurella was not the only player that had a terrible game. Cole Palmer was nowhere to be found on the pitch. And Enzo…..well Enzo was not the best captain. We all saw Todd Boehly leave the stadium early during the game. It could be he left to make a call about Victor Osimhen transfer deal to Chelsea. Everybody can see that Chelsea needs a striker. Todd Boehly is likely to make some more signings.
Please help, I can't even stop myself from laughing every time I see this picts, seriously, it's so famous, on social media especially, plus reading the comments. Oh my.  Grin Grin Grin Grin

And now, Joao Felix has officially entered this circle as a permanent Chelsea player for the next 5 years.  Shocked

Cucurella better to shut up his mouth, he forget that he's not playing with Spanish teammates instead he's playing with championship level players. Haaland showed who's in front of Cucurella and his goal to Chelsea really make Cucurella can't do anything against Haaland.

It's not surprising to see Chelsea lose against Manchester City even though they're playing in their home.

Making a decision about taking away two points and making a decision about taking whole championships are not the same thing.
I agree they aren't the same incidents. We are talking about a huge thing when it comes to Manchester City. They have been breaking the rules for like many years... Making the right decision is very important for football. Because this can be like a turning point as we haven't mostly seen rich and big teams getting the punishment they deserve.  Smiley

City will be punished one day, we are just waiting for what the punishment is, will it be a huge one or a small one.
It has to be a huge one considering all the breaches. If they just make do with a small one then people will lose their faith in football to be managed fairly.  Sad  This decision would be a good example for other teams with the same situation too.
I also think that City will get a huge punishment, I just do not think that championships will be taken away, because it feels like it wouldn't have any point at all, it would have an asterisk on whoever gets it, so that doesn't mean anything. But what can be done, which would be terrible but would definitely be great for football, is take them down a few divisions, like to league one or league two, in that case they are already super down, and while they would have money, they won't have income as much and they would have to focus on selling some of the players and waiving others etc etc, and start from zero.

That's not always a bad thing, do not consider that as terrible, Juventus was given the same punishment, and then ended up with like 10 wins in a row, so it is not always a bad thing. I feel like instead of taking the championship, they should do that as punishment and would fit the crime and would be good enough for everyone else benefiting until City comes back too.

First Game week is over. It doesn’t look like teams have looked different from last season. They just continued from where they stopped last season. The newly promoted teams doesn’t look too different from the ones that got relegated.

Manchester City didn’t even look blunt. They resumed their usual routine of winning games. Arsenal and Liverpool got their first 3 points without much sweat. Manchester United struggled against Fulham side but managed to secured a narrow victory towards the end of the match. Chelsea are still trying to arrange their squad before they can compete effectively. New signings are coming in everyday and it’ll hinder their growth as they have so many players who want to play.

Another team that I had high hopes for is Tottenham but after their draw against Leicester City, looks like they will be going trophyless another season. Although it is very early in the season to judge other teams.

Manchester United might be able to achieve something this season. Their team is looking great. Defensively they were shaky and they have got reinforcements in there. They have also signed Zirkzee who has scored already in his Premier League debut.

Ever since Abramovich sold Chelsea, Chelsea disappointed their fans more. Manchester United won Fulham but we expected more from the club. Manchester City is good and remain strong. If the club win English Premier League again this season, it will not be a surprise. But that means the league is not that competitive anymore. The club is playing with Ipswich Town in the next two days. I hope Manchester City would have been winning during first half.
Chelsea fans are starting to miss Abramovich, as long as he was still the owner of the club, Chelsea's transfer policy was always successful, although there were several players who failed to develop after being brought to Stamford Bridge, the number was very small and did not have much impact on the club. Chelsea started to fall apart after his departure, Todd Boehly brought in players without consideration, a lot of money was wasted without getting real results.
Manchester United managed to get their first win, the win was not their best performance because they were only able to score one goal and the win was achieved towards the end of the match. Manchester City is still able to maintain its performance well, the victory over Chelsea shows that they are still very strong. As long as Pep Guardiola is still the coach, Manchester City will continue to perform well and have a great chance of winning the EPL trophy.

It doesn't matter whether Manchester City will still manage to get the Premier League trophy or not this season because afterall, the fact is that the Premier League remains an interesting and competitive league in every season. Because after all, in the Premier League not only Manchester City because there are still many other top teams that can also compete in the title race. Also, if you realize about how the process or journey of Manchester City to get the trophy in recent seasons, it is clearly not easy.

After all, last season too, in reality the determination of the trophy-winning team occurred until the last match, because last season Manchester City competed closely with Arsenal. With results like that,  even though Manchester City managed to get a trophy in a row but anyway, the reality is that the great competition is also still happen, and Manchester City are also not at the top of the standings throughout the season. Therefore, the Premier League clearly remains interesting and competitive even though Manchester City managed to get consecutive trophies.

Todd Boehly should put an end to bringing in new signings. Chelsea Manager Maresca has said he’s only going to be working with 21 players and not 42 team players. You will have to imagine what’s going on at Chelsea, Maresca obviously is not sanctioning some of these transfers and it’s good he’s speaking out before it’s too late.

How can you have a squad of 42 first team players? We have not even counted academy players, it’s pure madness. There's absolutely no way you can conduct a training session for 42 players.

It seems the new players knew this was coming. I don’t feel for players that join Chelsea and get treated anyhow. Look at Tosin that joined them for free from Fulham, and Raheem Sterling they could not make the conference league squad. It’s crazy.

I totally understand Sterling. He has given so much to the EPL that he cannot be treated like trash. His decision to leave Chelsea is justified.

Maybe not for Leicester City who returned to the EPL with great ambition and made Tottenham bow down to a draw by them. Although Leicester's chances of surviving are not great, but just seeing them come back gives me a little hope that this club seems to be trying to give their best. In the first match against Tottenham, this club was quite good so they were able to be made nervous, especially Vardy return it brought an exciting atmosphere to the EPL.
This is one of the good starts indicating that the EPL is very competitive even though many clubs started the season the same as last season except Chelsea.
Leicester surprised me because Tottenham should have found it easier to win 3 points but it turned out that Leicester performed beyond predictions and maybe because Jamie Vardy's contribution was better and he could give maximum performance.
Surely everyone would not have thought that Leicester could hold Tottenham to a draw, even many bettors lost to support Tottenham's victory but in my opinion Leicester will not last long to perform like this.

(FT) Chelsea 0 vs 2 Man city

The final result of Man City is still with the same story that its quality is still promising. Talking about Chelsea, it's a little bit not bad but certainly not a good performance either. Because of the many players played by Enzo Maresca, only Cole Palmer is able to provide sharp thrusts into Man City defense line. But what can you do, Palmer is not enough if he doesn't have a suitable partner. Honestly, for several changes that Chelsea made, especially new players, it had no impact at all. Enzo performed below standard, he lost the trust of his fellow teammates on the field. It can be said that Chelsea is too full of flop players, is this the right answer behind Chelsea reckless purchases? It's not easy for Enzo Maresca to find the right format. Chelsea is not strong enough to beat Manchester City.

Not only are the fans disappointed but Todd Boehly immediately left the stadium after spending a lot of money and actually saw their team playing very badly at the match.  Cheesy

Grin Grin Grin no comment
Chelsea F.C team did not play well and they have many limitations and they are not working on their weaknesses. They have to struggle well to win the match against big teams. If they will play like that in next matches ,the result will be the same. That was match of Premier League and Manchester City football team played well in this match and did excellent goals in this match . They were dominant in this match and won the match by 2-0 . They have to focus and improve their skills, otherwise they will be unsuccessful in getting good position. Haaland did first goal for his team and his team remained ahead in all match .

Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have started scoring goals from the beginning of the season again and at the end of the season we will now see those who are too lazy to win a trophy, the way Arsenal and Liverpool used to take action from the beginning of the summer you will think they are the one that will win the league title, well I can’t judge them this season because they have made a good signing this season and I think those players will help them to fight for a trophy this season.

I support Manchester City in the premier league but this season I prefer Arsenal or Liverpool to win the league because if Manchester City wins the league again it means that the premier league has become a farmers' league where one team will be winning the league trophy every season, arsenal and Liverpool should prove people wrong that they are capable of fighting Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool is the only one that can do that because we all know that Manchester United and Chelsea can’t do anything in premier league again.
I think for the beginning of the season we still haven't seen the teams that will compete for the title except Manchester City and Arsenal because these two teams have had sufficient strength in the last few seasons.

And for Liverpool I think don't expect too much and don't be too excessive for them because Liverpool didn't make many changes for this season except they changed their coach and I think that's a weak point because it's certain that it will be quite difficult for the new coach to be able to improve the team's performance, especially with the fierce competition in the Premier League.

Manchester City is indeed too strong but I don't agree if the Premier League is called a farmer's league because the competition in the Premier League is very fierce even though Manchester City won the title and for this season I think Manchester City will have more difficulty than last season and I think Arsenal will be able to beat Manchester City this season after in the last two seasons Arsenal always lost at the end of the season and I think this season is the right time for Arsenal.

Phil Foden- Manchester City
Erling Haaland- Manchester City
Martin Ødegaard- Arsenal
Cole Palmer- Chelsea
Rodri- Manchester City
Ollie Watkins- Aston Villa

These players have been shortlisted for the 2023/24 PFA (Professional Football Association) Player of the Year award. The winner will be announced today at the Manchester Opera House. My prediction is that one of the shortlisted Manchester City players would win the award. Erling Haaland won it last season maybe it might be the turn of Phil Foden or Rodri. The winner might be Phil Foden, who is a two-time PFA Young Player of the Year.

I did expected a couple few names on here but not Ollie Watkins. Could be because I didn't pay close attention to him. Yeah, I forgot he was also called up for the European Championship last month as he was responsible for the winner that lead the three lions to the finals.

All of the names listed are worth it honestly. But I would go see the full list. I think we have more players from Arsenal squad than any other squad. Saliba, David Raya, Gabriel are also players I feel should make the list. They indeed worked really hard last season.

Due to the bad season Manchester United had last season, I don't think any of them players will make it to the first eleven. Cole Palmer in between made me proud even though he is no Manchester United player.

GOAL says that Leicester is likely to have two point deduction punishments because of allegedly breaching spending rules.

While smaller teams are receiving penalties for breaches as it has to be, big teams aren't treated the same. Manchester City has numerous breaches in the Premier League so far. It must be like 115 charges against them.

I hope this injustice comes to an end this November when their case is going to be at bar. People are making memes out of it but this has really become a serious problem. It isn't fair against other teams.  Sad
Making a decision about taking away two points and making a decision about taking whole championships are not the same thing. There is a serious possibility that Manchester City could lose more than one championship title from the previous seasons if they found guilty, and in that case I do not think that it would be fair to say FA has to rush to make a decision about it, of course it is going to take a long long time to make a such harsh decision. They have to be absolutely 100% clear on the rules and what was broken and how much etc etc, otherwise it makes no sense to give a huge one.

City will be punished one day, we are just waiting for what the punishment is, will it be a huge one or a small one. The reality is that we will not have easy time handling all of this, and that's why we need to focus on how to do better for each team. Leicester has none of that, it is just a mere two points and of course the punishment will not be the same for both.

I also admire Vardy's sense of belonging to his team. Many teams wanted him over the years but he stayed with Leicester. He is one of the best forwards in England in my opinion. He has settled down now but it seems like we will be talking about him a lot in the Premier League again this year. He started the league with a goal by scoring against Tottenham and I believe he will score more goals. I hope Leicester does not get relegated and we continue to watch him.

Leicester City managed to surprise us by holding Tottenham to a draw in their first match, Compared to other teams that were promoted to the EPL this season, it is clear that Leicester City has a greater chance of being able to trouble other teams in the league, apart from the fact that they also have a fairly  It's good squad that they also have a strong mentality in competing in the English league so far, Leicester City surprised us in the 2015/16 season by winning the Premier League and if we look at their current squad they still retain several players who were part of when team be championship at that time, so that's why I think that they have a strong mentality now to be able to compete with strong teams in the Premier League, Leicester City have set foot in the English League again this season and the big teams that exist must consider them as one of the teams that can hinder the journey of a big team in achieving the championship trophy.

Changes do not become obvious immediately, you'll need a level of consistency, I'd say until the first week of September precisely before you can see them. I do not think they continued from where they stopped last season. I saw a couple few games and I saw weak points and strength also shown.

I didn't see much of the game so I can't judge or should I say contribute. That game shouldn't have ended that way in my opinion, I saw a draw but things turned out different.

Manchester United created chances but failed to convert them during the first half. That game saw Harry Maguire, Mazraoui and and  Joshua Zirkzee having huge impacts. Arsenal defenders struggled thanks to David Raya who did brilliantly well. Saying Liverpool didn't sweat is laughable. They struggled and couldn't get a shot on target against newly promoted side Ipswich.
