Aston Villa will be welcome Arsenal to Villa Park, tomorrow. This is going to be their first home game of the season.
We all know it’s going to be a very tight one for the Gunners. Emery men defeated both Manchester City and Arsenal here last season in two consecutive games. They approached that game like they were on a mission to win something special.

And now they have added some new faces to the team in the summer and they look like they’ll bring more reinforcements before the window closes.
I don’t think the approach would change. They’ll still want to get something out of this match with Arsenal as Emery would want to retain his spot for champions league football.

Arsenal would need to dominate this game from the start to finish to get something from this game. If they give Aston Villa that kind of spell wolves had in the 2nd half of the game last week, they will definitely have themselves to blame.
It will be a good test for Arsenal and Aston Villa, I have no doubt that Arsenal have set the highest goals for this season, but Emery is also a rather ambitious coach and I think he would not mind beating Arsenal either. Last season they showed a very good ending and this allowed them to rise quite high, now they can try to win from the very beginning of the season, I think they will try to do it. And if they can beat Arsenal, they will prove the seriousness of their intentions, but besides Arsenal there is also Liverpool, so far the competition is high and none of the leaders have lost points.

Cucurella was not the only player that had a terrible game. Cole Palmer was nowhere to be found on the pitch. And Enzo…..well Enzo was not the best captain. We all saw Todd Boehly leave the stadium early during the game. It could be he left to make a call about Victor Osimhen transfer deal to Chelsea. Everybody can see that Chelsea needs a striker. Todd Boehly is likely to make some more signings.
Overall Chelsea players played badly which made Todd Boehly very disappointed, he left the Stadium early not because Chelsea lost. He is aware that it is very difficult to win against Manchester City who always maintain their best performance, but because his team lost in this way, he cannot accept it. Osimhen transfer seems to need to be made official soon, Chelsea need a reliable goal scorer to boost their performance, Enzo Maresca also has to find a solution to his team's poor performance. The result in the next game will show where Chelsea is heading this season under Maresca, if his performance continues like this, it will be very difficult for Chelsea to compete in the top four.
Last season Chelsea relied on Cole Palmer even though this player is not a striker but he was able to perform well under the previous coach Mauricio Pochettino he has found his rhythm but it seems this season he has to adapt again to the new coach and it is not easy for him so it is natural if Chelsea will experience a decline for a moment because the players are not used to understanding the characteristics of Enzo Maresca.

I actually agree if Chelsea recruits Oshimen but unfortunately Chelsea has recruited many players if there is a lot of spending it will make Chelsea violate FFP rules and they will be punished so Todd Boehly and the manager must think about handling the club's problems so they can compete with other top clubs.

Maybe he has got bored after winning the league title every season.  Tongue  Jokes aside, he says this but I don't doubt Manchester City even a bit. They would be in the title race for sure as usual. There is a system running like clockwork and it is really not easy to break it. I see only Arsenal which have a chance to perform this task. So far they have tried twice and failed. But there was progress last season. I'm curious about this season a lot.  Smiley

I'm sorry, but it's simply you're missing the key point at the end of video. Pep's clearly said that his motivation to win PL trophy will be there in the last month of competition. I'd prefer to see his statement as sarcastic, not as a lack of interest in winning the Premier League.

Look at how City was always backstabbed arsenal in the last month of competition, then they won the trophy.

-snip-but with the experience he has I think De Ligt is still good enough to be an addition to the Manchester United defense line, especially with Yoro's injury which was actually very much expected to make a breakthrough in the defense line, but it still cannot be implemented so that De Ligt can fill that position for the next few months and to make a better adventure at the new club.
Manchester United have really improved their defense and that is a good thing because they had a lot of problems in defense last season. I also hope to see Leny Yoro's performance because he is considered one of the talented young defenders at the moment. Unfortunately, an injury made him out for 3 months and that is not a short time. De Ligt is expected to help the defense and he came at the right time. His performance with Munich was not so good but I think De Ligt is still one of the best center backs at the moment.
The biggest reason behind Manchester United's poor performances in previous seasons has been their poor defensive lineup but perhaps they have strengthened their defense a bit this season. When the defense is strong, players in every position of the team can play without worry and give their best. In the last few seasons we have seen Manchester United only deteriorate in performance instead of improving gradually but we have high expectations from Manchester United in the coming season. Although they had some injury problems in the last season, Manchester United may not have any injury problems in the next season, then again they have recruited a defender to their club. All in all, a good season is waiting for them.

The performance should be improved as much as if the performance is improved they will be able to play the next season's Champions League. I hope Manchester United management and players will keep this in mind.

Yes, if the team's defense is good then it can perform very well in the attack department.  Because even if the team attacks on the opposite side, those who stay at the goal point can basically perform for a long time without thinking, especially counter attacks are the best place to score the most goals. But in this case, Manchester United plays a very aggressive role, but their playing style is very good and improved in this new season, although they lost the friendly match against Manchester City, but they performed well in the main game. But I think he will definitely put up a strong performance in this new season.

The results of the preliminaries will not have much impact on the main stage matches, we only need to see how the teams perform in the main stage matches. We can expect better performance from Manchester United this season as compared to last season as Manchester United have focused on improving their defense lineup in order to perform well. Manchester United's position at the bottom of the points table last season will be expected in the first place to stay between one and five points in the points table and to qualify for the Champions League again next season. If they can change the position of the points table this season then they will try to improve the performance in the next season.

In order to improve their performance, they need to keep their defense well, as well as they need to be more adept at countering it and use the opportunities that come, only then we will see this team in a good position at the end of the season.

Pep Guardiola says that the motivation for winning another Premier League title is not there yet...
Don't take Pep seriously. He is a mind gamer. He is sounding so casual and unserious about winning this season's EPL, while in the real life he is so much motivated and anticipating to win the EPL. If Pep is unsure of winning this season's EPL, believe me he would have walked away from Manchester city but instead he is bringing Gundegon back. Don't take Pep seriously please, he will give his best and definitely go for treble this season.
Believe Pep at your own peril. Someone that has refused to allow his boy (Arteta), to rest EPL even after trying so hard. He will never leave it for anyone.

Or maybe because he is so confident that Man City will win the EPL title again this season, that he is not thinking too hard about achieving it.

Or probably, for now, their main target is to win back the UCL trophy that they failed to defend last season, and this is not just about the trophy, but also the tight competition with Real Madrid.

Chelsea can also do well if they improve on their performance with the new manager they got.
Marezca, ya, this season, similar to previous seasons, Chelsea has again spent a lot of money to sign new players. Check, how many new Chelsea players have they gotten this season for various lines. But unfortunately, for the front line, there has been no interesting signing and has strengthened the team even better.

Other signings too, we see many young players, and who knows, there are so many players that Chelsea have, but they can't optimize them.

^ I believe Man City will have a field day at the Etihad this week against Ipswich. Ipswich is a newly promoted team with a lot of their players new to the premier league. City has an amazing attack, led by the monster Haaland. What a player, innit.
Manchester City won their first match against Chelsea, and their second match of the season will be against a club that has just been promoted to Premier League and they lost their first match. I don’t think the match should be a difficult one for Manchester City. I know all this newly promoted club shouldn’t be underestimated, but I don’t think Ipswich will be able to hold Manchester City down. I am expecting the match to be an easy win for Manchester City.

We saw Ipswich struggling against Liverpool in the second half, after battling a good first half. They have some loopholes in their game, and once that gets caught, they are not so good. This is something Pep is good at, catching teams in their weak spots. I think Ipswich is in trouble.
You really understand pep Guardiola. Mostly, Pep Guardiola does use the first half of the match to study where a club is having lapses, then he will strike in the second half of the match, whereas IPswich defenders can’t hold down a Manchester City attackers.

We want to see the effect of the new coach on the team especially that they didn't do well in the last season. Starting off the season with a lost in their first game doesn't speak well of the team and is a signal that they need to do more. I'm more worried about Chelsea than any other A list team now because they just invested in a new manager and the expectations are high already.
You’re right there is room for improvement for them especially now that they got a new manager, things have not been the same and it have not been going well for the manager and the team so far but i know with time things will get better. Every coach needs time to build their team properly so the Chelsea management needs to understand that managers needs time. I just hope Enzo Maresca gets the time he deserves so he can prove himself.

I don’t expect Chelsea to win Manchester City in their opening match because they don’t seem ready yet, the needed a lesser opponent to test themselves to build on the momentum.

Definitely it is expected that Pep would be bored from the fact that they have been dominating the league now while they may not be trying really hard to win the league, if any other teams fail to be consistent in their matches they will still come out victorious because one thing I know is that Pep doesn't like losing which shows that they won't be sleeping/slacking off for another team to win the league and also I think as the season goes by, if the league will be competitive then it may just ignite their interest , though I guessed their main interest may be Champions league.

I see only Arsenal which have a chance to perform this task. So far they have tried twice and failed. But there was progress last season. I'm curious about this season a lot.  Smiley
While Arsenal has failed to come out the league champions against Man City these past two seasons, there have been progress as season goes by and I think they may be able to pull it off this season if they can be really consistent till the end of season i.e no slacking off.

Pep Guardiola is a coach with ambition, but he didn't tell everyone at the start of the season.
In fact, Manchester City is the favorite team to win the Premier League title this season, but without ignoring other possible teams such as Arsenal and Liverpool who can also compete. If Manchester City win the title again this season, then they are the record holders of 5 titles in 5 seasons and crowned as the first and only team to ever do so.

Arsenal could certainly be Manchester City's toughest competitor this season, but I have always doubted Arsenal's ability to handle pressure. Arsenal's mentality is still unstable, so they often lose direction when the season is almost over. Whatever it is, all teams including Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham can still be expected to thwart Manchester City. So let's just wait.

Manchester City are the most favorite to win the league despite other clubs trying their best to strengthen their squad but I'm not leaving out Arsenal they've been runners-up for straight two seasons and their squad is currently strong enough to beat any Premier League team, it's left for Arteta to think of new strategies that would make them the most outstanding in the league this season.

Manchester City has been blessed under Pep Guardiola and they are still very much the strongest team in England so if they win the title this season it will be a very memorable record that will stand for years to come. Arsenal has also been very competitive in the premier league but Mikel Arteta should be able to find new strategies to use for the team this season, they can't continue being just runner up for too many seasons so they need to hope for something better than settling as runner ups.

As for Pep he's a genius and bringing back İlkay Gündoğan is the best decision he made this season.

Gundogan's return to Manchester City is a very good decision by Pep Guardiola, I just thought about Gundogan's impact to the team before he left for Barcelona and to be frank, he was really part of the squad that made Manchester City what it is now because he is a very active Midfielder. The team will further strengthen now that Gundogan is back.

Don't look at him. He is just bluffing.  Grin  We all know how hungry he has been over the years. I can't imagine a coach like him losing his motivation for more trophies.

In these years, there isn't really any team to break their game. In fact, Guardiola doesn't make changes in his strategies. But still he doesn't have anyone against him to be stopped.

I like Arteta as a coach. He is the 2nd best coach in the league I think.  Smiley  I really hope to see him making Arsenal champion at least for once. He deserves it completely.

In the last four seasons, Manchester City have dominated the premier league so I can understand the arrogance of Pep Guardiola. With his record, he can say whatever he likes. He is 100percent confident in his strategy and the ability of his players. Manchester City are still favourites to win the league title. I think what Pep Guardiola is saying is that they will be focusing more on the champions league this season. That is the only league that gives Manchester City a tough time. Last season, they lost the final to Real Madrid whose history in the UCL is far more successful than City. Manchester City will want to win the UCL and build a winning record in the UCL like Real Madrid have done.

If Manchester City do not focus on the Premier League trophy then maybe, this season will be a fierce competition between Arsenal and Liverpool. But indeed, even though Pep Guardiola stated something like that,  but I also still believe Manchester City will continue to compete in the title race, because for me it seems impossible for Pep Guardiola to just be silent when his team achieved bad results. Therefore, I still confident Manchester City will remain in the title race.

Or maybe, Pep Guardiola has big plans to overthrow Real Madrid in the Champions League, considering Real Madrid has a luxurious squad. Thus, eliminating Real Madrid this season in the Champions League is likely to be a great  achievement as well. But yeah, it will be interesting to see how the Premier League race goes this season, because Arsenal are also still on a good trend too.

Don't expect much from Chelsea this season. They still have that poor strategy in transfers. Actually I'm not sure if this can be called a strategy... They are just signing everyone they can without looking at what they need.

Over 40 players in the squad... It sounds like a joke but it isn't I'm afraid.  Sad  This team doesn't deserve to be managed this poorly. I don't know how many times I have said that, but it is what it is. How is the coach going to manage all these players? How will he manage to give most of them chances not to make them unhappy?  Huh  The chairman doesn't think about it even for a minute seemingly. It can't go on like this forever.

We've talked about the stuff's for a long time. Todd Boehly and the rest of Chelsea management has decided o solve the main issues from last season. Okay, the name Thiago Silva left the club, has he got a good replacement in the club? That I'm not sure. And it's not like they have found difficulty creating chances from last season. They're one of the best when it comes to creating chances for the club but what's lacking is a concrete goalscorer and elite finisher.

Stepping into this season with Nicholas Jackson as the central forward is not just a great idea. I'm no blue but I'm disappointed. Ask me what it'll take for the club to get Victor Oshime and they've decided to leave a blind eye.

I can't place a dollar on that defense, not even the attacker. Todd Boehly has got to be recalcitrant. This is not a bloody basketball team nor a baseball club in the US! SMH!

There are times that every club will face one or two challenges if I'm not forgetting there that us know was worst that this and Chelsea was performing well that particular time and now things have changed us now is a top and very soon we are going to the Premier league title It's going to take a while For Chelsea to actually get back on their feet just the way they did before. They are now and try to improve at it but not accepting it will make things more difficult for them. Them playing against Manchester city was not actually a bad game. They just need a little bit of improvement that is all and when focusing on improvement, I think Chelsea will stand again. I'm not worried about Chelsea at all because even when Arsenal was going through a lot, Chelsea fans did nothing but mock Arsenal felt like they will never get back on it their feet and now we smiling we just need a little more moment to win the Premier league but Chelsea do not even have a say to the extent of boosting that they have the chance of winning or making the top three in the Premier league this season is just starting, but I know Chelsea won't go far and it is my turn to mock the Chelsea fans.

Pep Guardiola is like that, he likes to joke but he is a hard worker who rarely underestimates others. He is aware that it is difficult to win the Premier League in 5 consecutive seasons, but his current record is winning 4 Premier League titles in a row. I applaud Pep Guardiola's leadership style at Manchester City and I hope Manchester United can really provide the best competition this season.

Never give up, that's what I have to say. Manchester United must perform better season after season, but so far I still have doubts about glory ever returning. It's not good to have too high expectations for Manchester United this season, but I have confidence that the team's performance will be better than last season.

Man City - Ipswich
Aston Villa - Arsenal

Without a doubt I would choose to bet on over 3.25 with odds of 1.60 because I believe Ipswich is just a weak club that Man City will take advantage of to seize the first position in the points table and on the other hand some of Ipswich's key players are injured which makes it easier for Man City to score big.

But I'm a little hesitant to bet on Arsenal's match and haven't found the best betting option.
Arsenal did manage to get 3 points when they played against Wolves but when Arsenal played at home, while Aston Villa was able to beat West Ham when they played away.
This means Aston Villa cannot be underestimated and I had time to think whether betting on over 2.5 was the right choice.
Share your thoughts.
Manchester City managed to destroy Chelsea with a landslide score of 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in the previous match, while Ipswich Town was also destroyed by Liverpool at Anfield Stadium with a score of 2-0, so from the results of the previous match we can see that Ipswich Town very small hope to win that's match, facing the defending champions is of course not an easy thing for Ipswich Town to face in match so it would be better for us to bet on Manchester City winning in that the match, although holding Manchester City win will only get us a small money refund but I think it's better than holding Ipswich Town who clearly have no hope of winning against Manchester City.

Arsenal match against Aston Villa will be a match that is difficult to predict, but in my opinion Aston Villa has a better chance of winning the match or at least getting 1 point from Arsenal, maybe before Aston Villa is coached by Unai Emery of course we will not hesitate to bet for Arsenal won, but since Unai Emery coached them it is clear that Aston Villa can no longer be underestimated at this time, and if you remember the previous two seasons of ocourse we can see if Aston Villa was actually the team  has thwarted Arsenal chance of winning the Premier League.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal will be a delightful game, but Arsenal playing away is definitely a concern for the Gunners. We saw how good Villa can be at home, and after the great display in the preseason, and also the opener against West Ham, they look solid. I am expecting a tight game with Arsenal just clinching the win.

This is the first matchday of the EPL. Some teams have shown optimistic results and some teams have performed poorly despite being the favorites. However, this is the first match and we will not be able to judge the team's performance for the next season just from this match. Chelsea has got a new manager and I think the club management has a target for the new coach. Hopefully Chelsea can improve their ranking. City appeared very dominant with their victory over Chelsea. Arsenal also won without conceding a goal. The first position now is Brighton because they managed to beat Everton 3-0. There will be many changes after the second matchday is over.

Chelsea can also do well if they improve on their performance with the new manager they got. What we expect from the club is a serious improvement from their last performance.
