Jonny Evans knows Manchester United from the time of Sir Alex Ferguson, he knew what it was like in the dressing room, so I believe he is more than just a player for rotation but also for experience and leadership of the dressing room, pitch and club. He is a much better player than Harry Maguire for me. Feels good to see Manchester United extending his contract until next season.

www.mirror.co.uk

You are actually right. With the current situation of the Manchester United dressing room, actually, with the current situation of Manchester United club as a whole, I think they need some players who can actually provide some wisdom for the team. But other than that if we look at it from the perspective of his contribution in the field, he is nothing but a squad rotation player that will be used in those matches where Manchester United needs to rest the main 11 players. You know these are actually the last days of him playing at the top level of competitions. But he was definitely useful for Manchester United in the last season and maybe they will be able to use him in this upcoming season as well, I've seen he is very well motivated for 2024/25.

Talks about Manchester city's 115 charges are starting to brew again. The last time the volume of discussion on the charges were like this was towards the end of last season. What changed? Has there been any new developments on the case? Ipl personally would love to see City get punished if any of the shady deals their management did helped them in any way to win those titles that they have won in recent years.

If City is convicted, we can see a whole new dynamics in the league and see teams compete fairly for the title. FA have plenty of work to do because in recent years, there have been more than double the cases of cheating in the premier league.
I don't see any significant developments happening in the case and after all this time Manchester City seem to feel that they have never done anything wrong with every accusation that is accused against them, if we look urge from at the many other clubs in the English league for the FA to immediately deal with the case, it does not make the FA have to move quickly like they did with Everton and Nottingham Forest last season, to be honest, I think the case involving Manchester City seems to have been deliberately left without further investigation from the FA even though they realized that the case existed, previously Manchester City had had several cases related to financial violations but at that time they actually appealed and made UEFA have to close the case immediately.

The financial strength possessed by Manchester City is clearly one of the strengths that makes Manchester City not only able to build a great squad, but their financial strength seems to be a shield that protects them from every lawsuit and is also often a weapon to get free from punishment for financial violations so far , so I think we can't expect that Manchester City will be punished after 115 violations they committed if indeed the authorities The Premier League is still not clean of corruption as once said by boxing legend Tony Bellew who is an Everton fan, I think the case involving Manchester City at the moment  will continue to drag on and will slowly disappear without further action from the FA.

The thing about Zirkzee is that he is not at a level where he should be a bench player, he is good enough to play in hundreds of clubs, and some good clubs as well. However, Hojlund is also good enough to play as well, maybe even better player if you ask me as well. So in this situation, they have to either figure out a way to play them both, which could be a trouble in a formation sense, or they will play one or the other.

This is why I never assumed this was a good transfer, United bought a player in a position they do not need, and a player that is very good, too good for what they need. They should have bought some 10-15 million valued striker for the bench and be done with that, because that is what the bench requires, not some 40+ million star potential young player.

I'd even love to see Joshua Zirkzee in the number nine position. He is more of a team player than individual player which is good for what Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United are tryna achieve this season. He knows how to dribble, create chances and at the same time, score goals. I love the less hype around him because he will definitely do well for Manchester United. The both players can even be paired of you ask me. Both Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund can both be useful together in a game. I love the depth in thr attacking line, hopefully they keep fit and get results.

If you watched Manchester United games last season, you'd see Bruno Fernandez fummin having issues finding Rasmus Hojlund, having Joshua Zirkzee involved would be much different, he is also much like Antonio Martial and Manchester United plays better when he is on the pitch but he is always Injured.

Joshua Zirkzee to Manchester United is a good deal. Right now, they should focus on getting a new defensive midfielder and also two solid defenders since, Victor Lindelof is most likely to leave Manchester United. Scott MC Tominay has also been recently wanted by Galatasaray.

Haaland is definitely one of the best strikers and the best finisher in Manchester City but you see if this star leaves the club it will have a bad effect on the performance of the club but how much have you thought about the name I will say. How much do you think about Kevin De Bruyne? You can consider this player as a good quality midfielder but I think this player is the most important player for Manchester City. Strikers can only score if this player provides good supply from the midfield and passes the ball beautifully to other strikers including Haaland but in his absence Manchester City did not perform very well in the matches they played last season and in every match we felt the absence of this player. So if Kevin De Bruyne leaves the club, it will definitely affect the performance of the club to some extent.
De Bruyne is the best midfielder and of course he has a big influence on Manchester City. Apart from that, not only him, Manchester City players have good qualities which can make them perform well and be difficult to beat, especially with their coach who suits them. Manchester City can take care of Manchester City well and make them successful in dominating and being consistent in their good play. If indeed De Bruyne leaves Manchester City, of course it will affect their performance because even if they have a replacement, they probably won't be better than De Bruyne, even though there is a possibility because he is under Pep Guardiola.

I don't see a decline in performance that will occur at Manchester City in the coming season. but with the case now becoming hot again, whether it will affect them or not. I don't know what will happen, I just think Manchester City can still perform well in the next season, maybe they will dominate again.

Meanwhile, for their arrival this season, there is only Joshua Zirkzee, a center-forward from Bologna who is considered quite suitable for Man United.

Zirkzee is a good transfer in my opinion. After parting ways with Martial, the only mainly CF left in the squad was Hojlund. They needed some more squad depth in the position and Zirkzee has arrived.  Smiley

The transfer fee is said to be 42.5 million euros. I think it is a good amount for a young player whose future looks bright. Rashford can also play as CF but he should just be sold already. One season he is great, in another he is the opposite. This can't go on like that. You need to be consistent after a point. Rashford isn't a rookie either so this shouldn't be tolerated by the Red Devils. I'm curious whether there is any interested team this summer.

Well said, th y need that dynamic player who is technically sound, pacy and also has a good IQ in the game of football. Joshua Zirkzee fits into Manchester United perfectly in my own opinion. Manchester United needed someone to compete with Rasmus Hojlund because they can't rely on a striker has difficulties using his both legs or even playing on the pitch.

As much as I dislike Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford, I don't see the possibility of him being sold out of this season. He is taking the highest pay for Manchester United and he cannot be consistent from for the club, if he has plan coming and starting the season nicely and fight for the fans showing that he is no finished player then they can also support him. On the other side of everything I feel like like both him and Jadon Sancho should be sold completely, as early as it, they failed the manager last season, I'm not expecting too much from the.

Manchester United is currently aggressively recruiting new players after experiencing a downturn in the previous seasonz Apart from Zirkzee, currently Manchester United is still trying to recruit several new players who are expected to be able to make a lot of contributions to the Red Devils squad next season, Zirkzee arrival is likely to make a difference in Manchester United attack line will be quite sharp next season because so far Zirkzee has performed quite well and impressively with Bologna, so it is quite natural that he is valued quite expensively and Manchester United is willing to activate Zirkzee's release clause of over 40 million euros this time.

Coming as a young star who is developing, I hope Zirkzee will still be able to show the consistency of his game next season with Manchester United even though perhaps his style of play will not match the scheme implemented by Ten Hag so far, if we reflect on last season experience, it is not surprising Manchester United fans are a little worried about Zirkzee performance in the future, because many new players who come to Manchester United fail to meet expectations even though he performed very well at his previous club.

Jonny Evans is just being kept as a rotation defender that's all.  Smiley  Manchester United could absolutely find a better player to replace him but maybe they just don't want to spend much money for this.
It seems like Jonny Evans is just waiting to retire from football. And it is not easy for him to be able to go to another big club at his age, especially with the history of injuries he has experienced. Man United has several center backs, but we know how good their quality is. They should also consider their back line well. Meanwhile, for their arrival this season, there is only Joshua Zirkzee, a center-forward from Bologna who is considered quite suitable for Man United.

Oh ya, Man United's target for a center back is actually quite good, namely Matthijs de Ligt (Bayern Munich), who is the most suitable string defender to pick. Man United has tried to carry out negotiations, but this is certainly not easy. They are still in talks.

On the other hand, Jarrad Branthwaite, one of Everton's center defenders) is also a target for Man United. However, this seems to be much more difficult because Everton still wants to keep the player in the club.

It would be quite difficult for Man United if they didn't get new defenders who were much stronger for Man United's defense. Lately, there have been a lot of rumors regarding Man United wanting to sign several top players. However, it is still in discussion and there has been no agreement, so it is quite doubtful.

Source: Manchester United working on three centre-back transfers

And indeed this time, Man United actually sold one of their center backs to Villareal, namely Willy Kambwala. has also officially signed a contract with a fee of €10m. And for now, he has carried out a series of medical tests as Villareal's new principal. So this makes it even clearer that Man United will again aggressively target their center back, at least, they will get additional financial ammunition from the sale of Kambwala.

But what if Rodri and Haaland leave Manchester City? The club will perform very poorly next season.

If both of them also leaves Manchester City would definitely have serious issues.  Sad  Rodri is a player who is rare of his kind. His skillsets and strength are making huge difference for his team.

Rodri is one few Spanish players I respect including Yamal and Morata, most especially as a young talented talented player who works towards building himself. He's no doubt one of the top players the Manchester City squad have right now and leaving the club together with Haaland are going to affect the club's delivery. Although, in as much as Pep Guardiola is still in charge, he will always find a way to navigate the club to perform their best in the season.
Did you say Haaland leaving Manchester City will cause a drastic slow down in their performance, Haaland has a better replacement as City striker which we all know Alvarez can do even better in that position. We can not compare the impact from the dismissal of Rodri to Haaland, Rodri has been a core player for the team and a lot has been built around him that makes him an absolute treasure in Pep squad. But with or without them I still believe Pep will find his way round to strengthen his team and maintain their brilliance performance in the league.
One thing about pep guadiola is that he never builds a team and centered all focus and importance on a particular player and this has also been the strength of this Manchester city side, one would have thought that the dismissal of Kevin de byrune would have slowed them drastically seeing how important the midfield Mysterio was but still they were able to fill the gap and play well and besides foden is there too.
That is what makes a great manager and a good team, by not building in centre of attention on a particular player which they perfects in making use of every player on the field  to becoming as much threat to the opponents. If alone a player like De Bruyne is the only threat there in Manchester City, there would be lots of tensions and aggressiveiveness from the opponent towards the player which may cause constant injuries and create lapses from the team performance whereas Manchester City has a team that in every of their various positions are a threat and knows how to end up building goals, even without another key player on the field.

It seems all of the Mancity local titles under the Premier League will definitely be cancelled. If the punishment is only a fine and relegation, perhaps many clubs will still not be satisfied.
Other clubs will definitely protest with a reason that Mancity can get those trophies because they have many quality players by cheating the financial fair play.
However, it will be complicated to decide which club has the right to get those titles after Mancity is decided guilty and had all the titles revoked from 2009 to 2018.

This is another topic what I'm curious about. If we consider like the case is over and all those titles are taken back from Manchester City in the Premier League. Then what happens?  Huh
Nothing happens with city. The title will roll to the second place at the season when city violated the PSR rules.

I mean will those years be left as blank or will there be a thing like the teams right behind them are called as new champions of those years? I guess the first one would happen because I haven't seen any example of the latter.  Grin
The team behind them (2nd place) will be receiving the trophy won by city.

It can really be like the end of an era in England, at least for a while if Manchester City reignite it by climbing back to the Premier League. Anyway we will see about that as we don't even have the result in our hands.
There may be only a few PL trophies to be taken away if City is found guilty. But, it will not affect the recent trophies they won.

It's not the end of era in england.

Manchester City has a hearing in front of the independent commission. It is already scheduled for November. There may be further update if we are getting closer to the date of hearing by manchester city. The case is still running. But yeah, it takes too long just to enter the hearing phase. Manchester City is the team accused of breaking the rules many times. But, I think this case will end next year.

I think there will be no new dynamic in the league. The city's violations mostly related to the PSR rules. And, yeah, there is still a loophole in PSR rules. But, when the FA tried to fix it, most teams said no. FA finds it hard to fix the loopholes. Most teams were voting NO. I think PSR rules must change, but it will not be an effortless task for FA.

So if Kevin De Bruyne leaves the club, it will definitely affect the performance of the club to some extent.
Kevin De Bruyne is indeed the best midfielder that Man City has. He has helped the striker with the passes he provides, as proven when he was injured, Haaland did not perform optimally because rarely anyone provided passes, in other words, De Bruyne has the most important position at Man City.

But Kevin De Bruyne is getting older, it is reported that he will leave Man City this summer and there are rumors that he has made a deal with one of the Saudi Arabian clubs, ready or not ready, Man City must prepare the best midfielder who will replace him, there are many good players at various clubs, Pep must be smart good at assessing players who have potential like Kevin De Bruyne. I know this player is difficult to replace, but no matter what, Man City cannot force the player to continue at Man City.

When it was first reported that Manchester City are facing a 115 count charges, I was very doubtful about the authenticity of the case and how serious it might be but considering the extent the case have gotten, I think it's something to worry about by the club's management. It is reported that since 2009, the club have "concealed payments made by the club director Sheikh Mansour through third parties" of which they were disguised as sponsorship deals. That's a big cheating to other clubs in the league and that's why Manchester City might be facing total expulsion from the English Premier League if they're found guilty as charged. The good news is that their English Premier League titles will not be stripped from them. I hope the club ends up fixing the issue.

I haven't read anything about the case against City for a long time, but it would only be fair if they receive a penalty and this applies also to many european clubs in different countries.
Do you even think that Manchester City will be punished for these cases they are laying against them? The reason you have not seen these cases is that it is Manchester City, if it were another club, the court would have given the order to pass the punishment for a long which would favor some teams, but they always wait till the end of the season before they bring back the case; I just hope the right punishment is been given to them just as they used to give other teams.

Quote
Apart from that, however, I do not believe that if Haaland leaves City, this circumstance would harm the club. Haaland was not good in the last few months in the last season anyway and without him they were better. Alvarez was much better towards the end of the season, which does not mean that Haaland is bad but maybe he just needs a new club to perform good.
Haaland is a good finisher, he is good at converting chances, but always out of the team when Manchester City loses the ball, the team can survive without him since they have Julin Alvarez who can do a good job as well.
If Manchester is charged and the punishment includes being relegated, Pep will leave Manchester City, and some players will also leave as well.

Man City have bigger problems than losing 1 or 2 individual players. This season they will be in court defending themselves against 116 charges of cheating and cooking the books to hide financial irregularities. They could be relegated and stripped of trophies won during the years accused.

Pep has one more year left on his contract, I think he will leave in summer 2025. Their era of dominance is coming to an end.

I haven't read anything about the case against City for a long time, but it would only be fair if they receive a penalty and this applies also to many european clubs in different countries.

If Manchester City is punished for such accusations, then of course all of Manchester City's star players are very likely to leave. Because when a team has received a punishment, especially if for example the punishment is relegation, then Manchester City is not the right place for all the star player. For example, in the past, Juventus was sentenced to relegation after winning the Scudetto, and the Scudetto title was given to Inter and in fact at that time almost all of Juventus star players left and the only loyal players who remained were Del Piero and Buffon.

With considerations like that, it is of course very possible that Manchester City's star players will leave, because they do not have great or big loyalty and or do not have a great love for staying at Manchester City. But even so, I hope this case does not take away all of Manchester City's trophies or achievements because of course, it would be bad for the team as a whole including the success record of players and coaches.
