It is indeed hard to find any such area in a successful and scoring team like Liverpool. Coaches will often have their players evaluated in scrimmages or other contests, taking measure of potential weaknesses that might not be so glaring as others.

That being said, while Liverpool front three is packed with firepower and it has quality in midfield as well when coached to be efficient its backline might even leave space for some nuances of gameplay or tactical adjustments or sufficient squad depth on certain positions through the year. This "winning" team must in a state of constant equilibrium- evaluation and adaptation - to keep the good parts stronger, making sure that their weaknesses are at least turned into neutral play or deployed like tactical time bombs.

Well on the way that even though they look strong together, there are still development and planning until eternity.

I was one of those that openly criticised Pochettino because I felt he wasn't doing a great job. His team should have been playing better than they were playing. Even when they did well in some games, they were inconsistent most times. Firing Pochettino was not such a bad decision. He might have built a good team with time, but I doubt he'll be able to win the league.
The decision Chelsea made in hiring their next manager is something that only time will tell, but I don't think he's good enough to give them the result that they desire. Enzo Maresca seems like a good coach, but I doubt he's going to be a coach to start delivering results immediately and if he's not going to deliver immediately, there was no point in firing Pochettino that was already getting rhythm with his team.


Signing players is one thing, the kind of players you sign us another team. With the money Chelsea have spent they should have one of the best squads in Europe. Now they're still signing more players but I'm still not impressed with their signings. I don't understand why they're ready to spend big on young players but won't go all out for an experienced player. They didn't sign Kane because of this and now they've missed out on Osimhen too.

He was given a much free role to play for Chelsea last season and he didn't disappoint honestly.. I think Mauricio Pochetino finally built around Cole Palmer which brought bout the best of him last season for Chelsea as he also contributed to the goal tally they have Last season. We will see, he reminds me of Juan Mata hopefully he stays longer for Chelsea.

With these names linked to Chelsea for next season, I'll honestly make the complain early enough that they'll not be able to make it to winning a trophy next season, Marc Guiu won't be able to solve the attacking problems they have, we haven't seen what he can do, all we have is highlights of these players and hope a change happens

Nicholas Jackson is more of a winger than he is a new striker, Chelsea manager should know this before hand. I do don't even know what they can do to put a halt to another charades ahead of the new season. Also, they should try to make good use of Mudryk and Christopher Nkuku next season.

Actually in this case there is a wild thought from within me where he doesn't want to be too pushy to find players but indeed Liverpool's finances are difficult, especially when it comes to buying players.

Until now we must have realized that in the last few seasons, Liverpool's management seemed stingy in spending their money to find players and that has become an open secret even to fans.

A coach must have his own criteria in seeing players for future plans as well as the Slot so it is unlikely that he will only be satisfied with the current squad because different coaches are definitely different attack schemes and coaching methods that will be carried out. I don't think it would be any issue for Liverpool to want to extend his contract, I think the problem if any would be if Mohamed Salah really wants to extend the contract because I believe he will be the one to take that decision just as mbappe did with PSG as he left the club for his dream club. For the case of Liverpool and Arne slot, the man would definitely be in hot soup as he will definitely need all his best to try and maintain the same playing performance with the club since things would be different as a new coach.

Is Pochettino fired due to bad results? I think he was able to restore the team performance when the season was coming to an end. Chelsea was doing very poorly until Pochettino took over and started getting better performances for Chelsea. But I think Chelsea only needs quick results, and that is why they will find it difficult to achieve what other teams have already achieved. So far, I think they should give a manager enough time to see how they will change the team for the better.

I don’t know for sure, but for me and my own opinion, it will be hard to see a manager who will restore a team like Chelsea to a very good performance like other teams are doing in just one season. I think it will be a very big challenge for the manager, but if they give him enough time, he will definitely do well. But they later fired him because he was unable to give them what they wanted last season, which is bad. But to me, Pochettino tried for Chelsea for the little time he spent there.

If there is no contract extension, Salah must leave Liverpool next year (June 30, 2025). I don't know why Liverpool seems to difficult to negotiate for the contract extension, I think it is about the salary. Salah must expect a higher salary, but Liverpool may have no plan to raise the salary because he is getting older and Salah may not play in his best form anymore in the next few seasons. Now, Salah is one of the key players in Liverpool, but it doesn't guarantee he will remain in the same role in the future. Liverpool management must try to make a proposal of Salah contract extension, but they probably become very careful in making a new agreement.

I don't think we must expect too much on Arne Slot because it is his first season managing Liverpool. Arne Slot also never managed a big European team and never compete in big European leagues. He was only competing in domestic competitions in Netherlands. So he needs time to adapt with higher level of competition in EPL league.

It can be said that the remainder of Salah's contract will end this season, so the 2024/2025 season will be his last season with Liverpool and if in that situation Liverpool fails to reach an agreement to extend Salah's contract. Salah will leave on a free transfer next season. As an important player in the team, Salah is of course the main focus of Liverpool management to submit a proposal for him to continue staying with Liverpool.
Last season Liverpool performed quite well where they managed to show their strength by competing hard with Arsenal and Manchester City. So, can Arne Slot continue this job in his first season as Liverpool coach?

Man United is a big team that has a good history and achievement but, last season they recorded a bad performance and closed the season in 8th place which was their worst finish since 1990. At first I thought that it was because Ten Hag was incompetent in carrying out his duties but, after seeing the conditions and reality where so many players were injured throughout the season, I think it will not be easy for any coach to get out of that slump.

We all know that competition in the Premier League is very tough. So it stands to reason that Man United failed because they didn't have many opportunities to play with their best squad, there were even situations where they had to play a defensive midfielder to become a central defender.

Manchester City's progress has been possible thanks to Pep Guardiola. Guardiola has managed to build an excellent squad. The bonding between the players in the squad is very strong. The team was able to perform consistently well throughout the season because of the good chemistry between the players. Also, since Manchester City is a rich club, City's bench team is quite strong. So even if a player suffers an injury, Manchester City does not face a major problem. City's overall performance remains stable.

On the other hand, we have only seen the deterioration of teams like Chelsea and United over the last few seasons. Their squad is strong enough. But due to the lack of experienced coaches, despite having all the qualifications, the performance of these teams is very erratic. The next season is unlikely to see better performances from teams like Chelsea and Manchester United. City, Liverpool and Arsenal are likely to fight for the title.

It's good to find someone who thinks the same as me on this topic. Yeah, why would the chairman like to part ways with Pochettino? Only after one season and despite the big improvement in results on final weeks of the season too.  

I think this was a bad action and hopefully they won't regret it. Because one should never be this hasty with a coach. If there's improvement then you should definitely give it a 2nd chance. Klopp revived Liverpool in 3-4 years as a reminder.

Salah will only decide to stay at Anfield or leave Anfield in the second half of the 2024/2025 season according to my analysis. Currently I think Salah wants to enjoy a new challenge with Arne Slot and wants to experience how Arne Slot has built Liverpool, both as a team and as individual players, as he looks into his first season as Liverpool head coach.
I didn't find any news that said Salah would leave Anfield. Liverpool management may offer Salah a new contract as I predicted above, depending on both of them.

When you see a player that wants to leave his club it is usually not an needing attention because from all just shows and comments, you will be able to determine whether the player wants to live or not and if you look at Muhammad Salah, it does not show any of those attributes of That shoes the Muhammad Sala wants to stay and play for Liverpool so whatever might be going around should be discarded because Muhammad Sala still enjoy playing for Liverpool and I don’t see selling in any moment from now not because it’s a good player but because of the sacrifice, he has also made for Liverpool, so selling Muhammad Salah will just be as If it’s no longer useful to them, and which will be very bad after all the sacrifices he has made.

I agree with you that Chelsea management should not rush. Because Chelsea's situation was very unstable. So Chelsea's performance at the start of the season was very erratic. And that's normal. A team has to stabilize gradually. It's not possible too fast. Although Chelsea's performances were erratic at the start of the previous season, Pochettino was able to gradually stabilize the team. And he could have made the team even stronger this season if he got enough benefits this season.

However, the Chelsea management should not be expecting too much from the new coach this season. Adequate time and opportunities must be given to the new coach. If not, it is not possible to bring the continuity of this team's performance.

Salah's contract is only until 2025 and not 2026 and thus, Salah only has one more season at Liverpool and that means, when Salah's contract ends, Salah will be 33 years old. Thus, it may be certain that Liverpool will not sell Salah, and let Salah play at Liverpool until his contract expires in 2025. While I do agree that Pochettino might have been fired for bad results and overall bad end rank, I think we are also looking at beyond that level. Pochettino isn't a manager for the youth, he is an established manager who could play great players very well, like I thought he was great at PSG and shouldn't have been fired there. Just look at Palmer alone, not even anyone else, just him, they could sell him for so much to some big name club that may need a player like him. This means that while they do spend, they also need their young star potential players to keep playing and get better results so that those players would worth something in the future. That is not always because they want players to sell, maybe they won't sell, but it is always more important to have assets that go up in value, and this is what they are looking at by making players worth more as well.
