Yes, I admit that since Unai Emery coached this team, Aston Villa has improved. Last season Aston Villa finished in 7th placed and this season it look like Aston Villa will finished in the top 5 if Aston Villa mentality does not decline, but sometime Aston Villa consistency is a little doubtful thats he can beat Manchester City and Arsenal but they were beaten by Manchester United who played badly this season, maybe this is a new job for Emery to improved Aston Villa consistency. So that the club he handles does not falter in the second half of this season so that next season they can get Champions League tickets.

I think Aston Villa performed very well this season. Even though they surprisingly lost to Manchester United, I think it's normal for a team that doesn't have good enough reserve players to be able to perform consistently in every match. I think Unai Emery is able to rotate players well so that they can perform extraordinary this season. Because I think no one predicted that Aston Villa would be able to appear impressive in the league this season. So I think they will get 1 slot in the champions league next season.

De Bruyne is back. De Bruyne suffered a hamstring injury and had to miss 32 matches recently. His return came in the FA Cup. He returned to form with an assist in the 17th minute of the 5-0 win over Huddersfield, a deft cross that showed precision and vision.
De Bruyne has the most assists in 5 major European tournaments in all competitions since the beginning of last season. De Bruyne has a unique ability to do something that is not easily found. He is special. He is unique. I am not exaggerating when I say that he is the central player of the team. When De Bruyne returns, Man City is expected to successfully defend an unprecedented fourth consecutive championship in Premier League history. As well as overcome challenges on the journey to defend the Champions League and FA Cup titles.

Finally, he is back again. The main problem if manchester city is still missing haaland. I was expecting haaland to come back soon and im thinking that if he will be fully recovered soon. De bruyne has been showing amazing performance on his debut and this is the main problem owned by the club. Im thinking that city will be even much more scary for other teams when it wil face manchester city. The thought that occupies my mind is the formidable combination that Manchester City's main squad will become once Haaland and Stones are reintegrated into the team.
City could become the biggest threat for real madrid and bayern. I don't mind other club since they were not as strong as mnchester city, real madrid and bayern munich. These will be very interesting competition to be seen.
De bruyne as a king of assists was coming back again, and this is also adding more chance for them to show that if manchester city's true team will be back soon. It is important for other clubs to be cautious when they have to play against Manchester City.

Manchester city can at very least still defending its position at the top. City is now having de bruyne again and let city to cook EPL soon. There will be no club who will be able to prevent manchester city from winning the competition again for the fourth times.
Pep bought him as a preparation for the long term project. Pep has a short and long term vision and this is also the main reason to say that if manchester city tries to prepare good player who can play in the club for long term.
His fees is quite expensive but im sure that he will paid off it caused by pep will be ready to develop him to be even better than before. It's just matter of time till we will be seeing his debut with the main squad of manchester city.
I'm only seeing Manchester City and Liverpool in the top because Aston Villa will dropped from second position, because I believe they will failed to maintain the top run battle for the EPL, the only target that would be subjected to them is qualifying for top four this season. Liverpool and Manchester City will operates their efficiency in league status and also prime motions to overtake the existing race. This is the time for the top battle because Manchester City have returned back to their winning form, ready to top up their fight and ready for what's coming.

It is very difficult for Aston Villa to stay in the title race until the season ends. I really like the work Emery has done with the team so far. It is hard not to appreciate that. But it is really difficult to compete with teams like especially Manchester City and Liverpool until the end. These two would come one step forward while things are getting more serious.

I'm excluding even Arsenal from them because their job is also not easy with this football they play. There are many games in which they didn't play impressive but still somehow won. It is very hard for them to become champions like that.  Sad

Aston villa is unlikely to participating in the title race and i don't even think emery has been targeting EPL this season. UCL spot will be more than enough for him. It's caused by we have seen that how manchester city got de bruyne back again and this is a nightmare for other club like aston villa. There will be same scenario like last season when manchester city was able surpassing arsenal at the late game and it makes arsenal becomes trophyless. Aston villa is still far from arsenal, manchester city and liverpool.

Emery needs to put reasonable target for the club this season caused by it will be also helping the club to control its ambition that may be also affecting the performance from the club. I would like to see aston villa to play in UCL caused by this is a sense target.
Aston villa has no chance to get the trophy this season. I would not deny that if aston villa performed so well this season but it's likely that if the chance owned by villa to take the trophy this season was zero.

Manchester city/liverpool are the most potential clubs to win the competition this season. I don't see other club have big chances like them to get the trophy

The view of the standing table this season does provide a differenced where Aston Villa can occupy 2nd placed and is superior to Arsenal and Manchester City, but the differenced in points between the top 4 is not that far. So Aston Villa is still struggle to maintain a better position, because of the previous season Aston Villa is in a poor ranking, precisely among mediocre clubs, but because of the coach hard working, Aston Villa is now at a better level and can be among the bigs clubs in the Premier League.
Aston Villa has made remarkable progress this season. Transitioning from a mid-table team in previous seasons, they are now in the top 4 and have the potential to compete on an equal footing for the championship with giants like Man City, Arsenal, and Liverpool. Clearly, in terms of economic strength and squad quality, Aston Villa can't be compared to the other big clubs. What they possess, though, is stability in their playing style and a united determination among players under the skillful leadership of coach Unai Emery.

Overall, Aston Villa is stronger defensively, and it's their solid defense that allows them to succeed in counterattacks. They are developing a high defensive line with an offside trap, a somewhat risky approach that is making a difference for Aston Villa this season. Additionally, the inconsistencies in styleplay  Tottenham, Man City, and more recently, Arsenal, coupled with the poor form of Manchester United and Chelsea, contribute to Aston Villa's rise in the standings this season.

I think losing KDB really has a big impact on City's performance in every game. It looks like they haven't found a player who can replace Kevin De Bruyne's role in the middle of the field. Without De Bruyne, Manchester City's ball flow feels a little different. I felt like City were trying to dominate the match but there were no dangerous passes into the opponent's goal like De Bruyne did. Silva, Foden and Grealish are good but it seems they are not ready to cover the empty gap left by KDB.
It was clear that there was a slight decline when Manchester City was without Kevin de Bruyne, even Pep Guiardiola himself as coach admitted this. However, fortunately City can still stay not too far from the top of the Premier League standings and are only 5 points away from Liverpool. While without Kevin de Bruyne, City players have tried their best by looking for temporary options while waiting for the key attack to return to the first team. Currently, it is hoped that by buying Claudio Echeverri from River Plate he can become an additional layer created by Pep Guaridiola. With a deal fee of €14.5 million, the Argentinian is worth considering. The reason is that Pep knows that his ability to maintain the midfielder's position can be relied on.

There is an unusual sight in the EPL standings table this season, until the 20th week of the Premier League Aston Villa managed to sit in second place with 42 points. What's even more amazing is that Aston Villa is only three points behind Liverpool who top the standings. Aston Villa good performance this season was able to outperform the other two leading clubs, Manchester City and Arsenal, both of which were also defeated by Aston Villa in the first meeting this season with the same score of 1-0.

Aston Villa extraordinary performance cannot be separated from the role of Unai Emery, His cold hand has become a hot topic of conversation because Aston Villa has been among the big teams in the top four of the standings. Unai Emery has carried out his duties well with Aston Villa. They still have a chance to win the EPL title as long as they maintain their best game until the end of the season, but if they fail, they must at least finish in the top four to be able to compete in the Champions League next season.

We saw some struggles in Aston Villa's performance in the last a couple of games they played in the Premier League. I mean especially the last three games here. They had too much difficulty against Sheffield and they could have even lost to them home. After that they were able to do nothing against Manchester United to make a comeback from 0-2 to 3-2. We are talking about a bad Manchester United this season in the end.

Right after these games they won against Burnley finally but even it was thanks to a winner came in the last minutes.  Sad  Of course we can't see them winning all the time but I would like to see Emery's team staying in top 4 race until the end of the season. They have made a huge effort until now.
Aston Villa are trying. They are currently in second place on the way to the championship and have one game less than Manchester City. If Manchester City wins their missing match, they will fall to third place. While Manchester City continues to strive for the championship, I think Unai Emery is making the team play better than expected. This year, Aston Villa is making the attack that Newcastle United made last year. Of course, they had unfortunate matches, but every match is a lesson for them.

If you look at their games, I think the general impression that Manchester City is not quite as sharp in their games as they used to be half a year ago is not misleading. Manchester City is a nuance weaker than they were before. They still dominate the game in terms of ball possession, but I am missing the dominance in all aspects of their game. They are sometimes really close to failing or losing control over the game and that is something they are not used to.
Still the quality they have is indisputable and it makes them the favorite in all competitions they play.

Silva, Foden and Grealish are good but it seems they are not ready to cover the empty gap left by KDB.

It's quite natural that the club has problems finding an outstanding substitute for Kevin De Bruyne because he has defined his own league as a midfielder. There is really a player like him maybe every 5 - 10 years with such persistence and reliability. Whenever he played and was not injured, I can't actually remember a game that I saw and then said that De Bruyne was bad in that game. He always has a least level of performance that is guaranteed a contribution to the whole team. Whether it is assisting them in the defense or scoring goals himself. Too bad that he is probably soon going to retire.
As every good thing comes to an end, so does this one. Kevin De Bruyne was one of the players who left his mark on football history. He carried his team to higher levels with his great game intelligence. I think he will continue to play at a high level as long as he is old enough. He is one of the players that I will be sad about when he retires.

Upon all these elite teams, Aston Villa is the only team that's making slight difference to win matches and also topping the level of their performance to next stage. In all, Unai Emery deserves his flowers because he has tried for the club, no stopping for concrete results because it will be only judged among the viewers and football supporters, no one will become happy watching his team becoming one of the underrated club. Aston Villa is doing fine as they should but we should stop with the overhyped because it doesn't matter. Aston Villa have become strong enough to face their opponents but things will go smoothly.

emery deserves all of appreciations from the fans. Im sorry to say that if aston villa has no chance for the title race BUT, he can still do it to grab at least 1 UCL spot for the upcoming. The thing that makes me feel amaze about him caused by emery started with very very low budget to build the team. Additional budget got from selling rice to the arsenal and thanks for arsenal to help emery funding his team this season. I can't even believe how emery changed the club drastically.

Im really convincing to see villa competed for the UCL spot. I have no complaints about him in aston villa but let emery tries to make the defensive line to be even more consistent. Emery showed his experience in aston villa unlike when he was still managing arsenal. I thought that arsenal would not be buying rice and that's why i expect as a bare minimum for aston villa but 100 millions were enough for emery to build the club to compete for the UCL spot.

Aston villa needs to keep him much longer. It will be very good for the club.

I think manchester united has not ended their bad game, just because they won against aston villa. after all, when they played against aston villa, they also played at home at old traford. proven after the opponent of aston villa. competing against nottingham forest lost. and an outcast player from manchester united became one of the key players in forest's victory, Anthony Elanga with his assist in the 82nd minute which was converted into a gibs-white goal.

I have heard that manchester city has been preparing someone to replace him soon. De brune gave a new face for city to play differently. It can be seen from the result against hudders field. The game looked like very different once city was playing in the second half.

It proves that he brought massive impact to the club and i do appreciate what he has been doing for the club till new. De bruyne was a legend for manchester city and he deserves it to be called as king of assist.
He has been really proving his worthiness as a mancheter city player. The club is always being helped by him when it was on the critical situation . The problem if de bruyne was old enough and he has still a few years remaining to play in EPL.

Top four is not newbies but for clubs that have stand their ground. Aston Villa have become a serious contender for the EPL title this season, I don't think they will be able to succeed because there are more matches to be played. Unai Emery is the brain box behind the success of the team, they're now ascending to good position, the Villans currently in second ranked on the table, though they've worked really hard. How will the presence of Liverpool and Manchester City allow an average team like Aston Villa become very competitive and also aiming for the league title.

Same thing i told someone recently who claimed Aston Villa can surprise us all and repeat what Leicester City did in 2016 when they lift the trophy, I don’t think Aston Villa can pull it off this season considering how they lose some matches. I just know they can make the top 4 and qualify for the champions league just as Newcastle did but it will be difficult for them to win the league.

My prediction is that they will drop to 4th position as the league is about to end because the Premier league is getting more interesting when the league draws to the end and towards the end I don’t think they will still be at their best performance. There is still a long way to go as the league is still a long way away from the end.

Some people were thinking Aston Villa might end up winning the league this season, but I know it’s impossible for them. I am not surprised with Aston Villa's current performance, i expect their performance to drop, which is currently happening. I expect Aston Villa to end the season in the top 5, but they shouldn’t even dream of winning the league, and if their performance even gets worse, they might not even be able to end the season in the top 5.

The clubs that I think might end up winning the league this season are either Liverpool, Manchester City, or Arsenal. But I don’t really have confidence in Arsenal, I know they won’t win the league, but I just decided to add their name to my list.
