The losing streak certainly brings deep frustration to the coach and also the players. But in this case, however, as a manager, Pep Guardiola must remain calm. And this is what he said ahead of the match on Boxing Day tomorrow. But the question is, can they restore the condition to become a continuous winner?
Unfortunately for Pep Guardiola and Manchester City, Premier League have no break like other leagues in Christmas and new year holidays. It damages valuable time for player recovery and plan making from Pep Guardiola. Matches in next two weeks even can harm their position and chance in competition to top four and title more.
I also believe that City are still in the race even if they have been struggling with form that doesn't mean they're out of the title race completely.
It's only matter of time till a day they are officially out of Premier League title race. Their hope is inconsistency of Liverpool in rest of season but who know, whether Liverpool play well or bad in coming months. If Liverpool play well like next 10 matches, it's enough to kick Manchester City out of the title race officially.
City always have a way of surprising us and talking about trophy, it will be hard to say they can win something this season unless they're in the finals of any competition, we just have to wait.
They did it many times in previous seasons but with not big differences behind their main competitors. Now they are 12 points behind Liverpool and it can be expanded to 15 points if Liverpool win one more match. 12 or 15 points is very big difference and if we take their bad form into account, their chance to catch Liverpool is very small, almost impossible.
