The points gap with Liverpool is not much, so their job will not be too difficult considering there are still many games until the end of the season.
This season will be an interesting one. Liverpool are in first place, and they will want to do everything to maintain the first position, but as we can see, Manchester City is in second place, and one of their key players who have been absent since the beginning of the season is already back. As we can see, his performances have been really impressive since he came back, he was able to secure 1 goal and 1 assist for Manchester City in their last match against Newcastle. De Bruyne was substituted in the second half of the match, but his performance was really nice in the match. So I am sure that with de Bruyne back at Manchester City, they will want to do everything possible to win the league this season again.

Funny that last season Everton were in the relegation zone without penalties and miraculously managed to stay in the EPL... Looks like they have a tough task to survive again this season... If they do get a 10 point penalty they won't stand a chance...

With a few games left means Everton have to win a few more games than the teams in the relegation zone at the moment. Actually, I'm sure they will be able to do that if you look at their quality. At least they will be able to survive in the League. This is huge pressure for all Everton officials. I think their chances are 50:50 because a team like Everton can spring a surprise and get good results at the end of the season.
The league is just above half of the matches played 21 matches played with 17 more matches to I think and optimistic that Everton would survive relegation despite 10 points deductions the team was able to stay 1 point above the relegation zone, It obvious Sean Dyche Everton manager has what it takes to steer the out of relegation, teams like Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton Town would find it difficult to displace Everton from that position as we know that Everton has a track record of winning and creating upset when playing big teams they that against Arsenal last season and definitely they would repeat that feat of defeating some big teams this season too.

Yeah Everton are in a difficult situation which has an impact on the player's mentality. Actually I doubt Everton can get through but as you said sometimes they can do the unexpected as they did at the end of last year, this is not over. Also this punishment is not final and Everton can still make some efforts to avoid it, the latest news I heard was Everton asking for an appeal. Luton Town, who are in 18th place certainly think this is good news because it will impact their position automatically their position will rise to 16th or 15th.

By the way, Everton have 17 matches remaining and if calculated there will be 51 points to collect it's just that Everton won't be able to win all the matches but if Everton can win 8-9 games maybe they will be safe for next season, last season Everton collected 36 points and finished in 17th place so Everton should be able to do it again this season, they have no other way but to fight until the end of the season if the punishment is applied.

Surviving is winning, that's the complex part of the whole football system. It's not an easy run for the Toffees, everything have been complex for them this season, it started when they got charged for breaking one of the essential rules and they have to settle for lesser position because their points got deducted. Everton in danger as they're close to the relegation zone again and this time, Sean Dyche and the players will fight for their spot in the English Premier League because if they would continue to fight, they will stay firm and strong for whatever challenges that comes their way.

I think they most importantly need to win the games they will play against the other teams that are threatened to end their season in the relegation zone. Of course it is a nice to have if they can beat other teams from the upper half of the table, but the most important points are those against their competitors from the lower half of the table.

Within the last 7 games of the season their opponents are Burnley, Nottingham, Brentford, Luton Town and Sheffield. That's when the season will be most important for Everton.

I hope that Arsenal will overtake City and we will find out who will take the title in the fight between Asenal and Liverpool, but I must admit that 5 points is a lot for teams that are fighting for the title. In the Premier League, the champion usually dominates very strongly and very often the percentage of points scored is more than 80%. It turns out that on average the title holder scores 2.4 points per game. To “catch up” a gap of 5 points, you need to play at the maximum (win) 5/0.6 = 8.3 games. It's not so easy in the Premier League.
It is difficult to catch up points in Premier League matches even though it is only 5 points away, Arsenal still have to win strongly and Liverpool or Man City make mistakes with their defeats.
Suppose in this season's title battle between others is Arsenal vs Liverpool then here will choose Liverpool with a clearer opportunity, usually Arsenal always get problems towards the end of the season or say performance decreases due to defeat.

You have to calculate their winning percentage, so now you know enough. Cheesy

Anyway, Arsenal's task in the Premier League is difficult, we never imagined it but maybe the battle will belong to Arsenal.
The battle is really going to be a tough one because I believe Arsenal have not given up on the tittle race,and if they should keep that hope alive,they must  go on to win the remaining of their fixtures and not dropping points again,else,it will be over,it will be fighting for top four again this season.Arteta is the reason why Arsenal dropped some vital points that they dropped this season,because he loves gambling with some games by keeping the wrong players on the pitch for a long period of time.There are times when Hervetz was criticised because of his poor performance,but Arteta kept on playing him.Arsrnal have a very good squad,but managing them to get results is another important thing that needs to be done.

Two points is a very insignificant advantage, there are still many games ahead and everything can change. Perhaps we are already accustomed to the fact that City are the leaders of the Premier League, and it is difficult for us to imagine that anyone can break their dominance. It seems Arteta tried to do this, but Arsenal is missing something every time.
For the English league, even a difference of 5 points is still considered very vulnerable or small for  team not to be couped by another team, the English league competition is very competitive and even makes the competition for the championship very difficult to predict even when there are only a few games remaining, this season it looks like we Starting to see several teams starting to rise and try to enter the title race and even now there are 5 teams that are still candidates to win the English League.
Consistency is something that has been missing from Arsenal for a long time and that is why currently Arsenal is starting to return to factory settings and it is difficult to compete at the top of the standings, As an Arsenal fan, I only hope that Arteta can find a solution to Arsenal problems so far and be able to become a strong competitor  to win the EPL trophy.

Yeah they will really have a tough time to survive this season because they are still very close to the relegation zone so perhaps they really need to be very consistent on there performance this days to avoid going back to relegation again, but however considering there performance I don't think they can be able to win crystal Palace on there next match because crystal Palace is actually more good in performance this season than Everton and considering the position of crystal Palace they really need to win the match to improve more on there table and perhaps if crystal palace manage to Everton and Luton wins there next match that means Everton will fall into the relegation zone.
The previous 2 seasons they had to fight to avoid the relegation zone and they were able to do that. This season they are in the same situation of having to fight hard to avoid the relegation zone which is currently only 1 point away. This is homework for a coach, he has a big responsibility to be able to bring Everton to stay in the Premier League next season.
This is a difficult thing to do, the article the distance between them is also not far and quite tight. in the game I still think they can compete to be able to avoid there, but of course it must be done with even more effort. Actually in the previous season they were a club that could compete in at least the top 10 of the standings, but they have decreased in the last 3 seasons, including this season.

The issue that occurred was about the possibility that Everton would again receive a points deduction, even though in reality, in the first half of this season, Everton already received a deduction of 10 points . So yes, if for example Everton gets another point deduction then yes, of course it will be increasingly difficult for Everton to stay away from the relegation zone. But anyway, basically this season Everton has a better performance compared to last season so yes, even though at this moment Everton situation is not completely good but at least Everton still has a chance to avoid the relegation zone, because Everton still has a good performance in this moment.

Liverpool are very good, Klopp has been coaching them for a long time and under his leadership they have achieved a lot, but if we compare them with City, I would give preference to Guardiola’s team. Guardiola knows how to maintain a high level of play for many seasons, without major failures, and I like such teams better.

So far Liverpool, Arsenal and several other teams have always tried to break Manchester City's dominance in the Premier League. They could still possibly break it, but of course these teams need super hard efforts to do it. Only Liverpool could stop Manchester City in the last few seasons, but that happened in the 2019-2020 season.

Pep Guardiola was recently named the best FIFA coach 2023, he deserved to win the award after having a great season with Manchester City last season. Pep Guardiola has won 16 titles with Manchester City since becoming coach in July 2016. This season he will also be aiming for more titles, including defending the Premier League title and also the Champions League.

~~~
Sadly I agree, they have a stronger squad than Liverpool. First XI’s are similar in quality but Man City have more depth.
Their time is coming though next year when they will face the PL in court over allegations of breaking the rules. They have 115 charges, everything from huge points deductions to relegation is possible.
Yes, maybe that's what all Premier League teams hope for Manchester City. If not, it will be very difficult for all existing teams to stop their dominance. I'm not sure Manchester City can really be punished even if they get 115 charges, they will definitely defend themselves as best they can to avoid getting punished.
Liverpool will certainly try their best to maintain their team's performance every match. Their performance is good, but Manchester City behind them is a big threat to Liverpool. Both teams will make the most of each game and avoid dropping points, but I agree that Manchester City has a higher chance of winning the title.
Everton's current position is number 17 with 17 points. I read local news, Everton could have received a second penalty related to profitability. If there is another 10-point deduction penalty then they will be at the bottom. This means they will have only 7 points left. There's a good chance they could be relegated. If they can't win every game.
Everton are really fighting hard to avoid relegation this season, which is caused by the 10 points deduction that they had this season. If another 10 points are deducted from Everton's points, then I don’t think Everton will be able to avoid relegation this season. If 10 points are deducted from their current point, they will be left with just 7 points, which will put them in the last position on the table. I think they are going to find it difficult to win all their matches, so I don’t think they will be able to avoid relegation this season. The point deduction is really going to affect the players mentality.
It’s very sad that Everton will be facing another punishment after being handed a second set of charges just months after they suffered a 10-point deduction for earlier breaches. It’s so unfortunate because the prospect of further punishment has cast a pall over the fine work done by the manager Dyche to guide his team out of the relegation zone after receiving the sanction to sit a point clear of the drop.
I don’t think they’ll survive this second punishment if they’re are found guilty. The second half of the season is usually the toughest part as clubs would fight to stay ahead of the red zone. Taking points away from Everton would definitely be a disaster. They will not survive it, they’ll go down.
Manchester City is a team that has dominated the Premier League in the last few seasons. They have won 5 of 6 titles in the last 6 seasons, so this season they will try hard to win an additional title for the fourth time in a row. There's no doubt that Pep Guardiola has won many trophies and has achieved more than what his Liverpool counterpart Jurgen Klopp have been able to do at his club. Just like you said, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City have won the English Premier League trophy five times in the last six seasons and are very much in contention to win again for the fourth time in a row but that I think will be very difficult to happen when considering the performance of Liverpool in the league this season.
The Reds have undoubtedly been the most consistent team in the English Premier League this season and are still at the top of the league at the moment. Pep Guardiola knows how embarrassing it'll be for Pep Guardiola's Manchester City to overtake him and win the league again this season so I don't expect such to happen. I think the winner of this season's English Premier League title is surely gonna be either of the two teams but I'm backing Liverpool to win it this time
Everton's performance last season and this season is not much different, but there is a slight improvement compared to last season however due to the reduction in points it is quite difficult for Everton to get out of the relegation zone. Now their position is one level above the relegation zone and inconsistent performances will make them even worse. Winless from the last five games so they dropped a lot of points and this will be a big problem.
Luck like last season will be difficult to get back and I doubt that Everton can get out of that zone. Although the opportunity is still quite open because there are matches that they have to play this season until the end. So let's see how the next match will be, whether lose again or draw.
Yesterday West Ham lost in the FA cup against a team playing in a much lower division than the Premier League and that for me was a really big surprise result.A team from the Premier League who happen to have won not long ago the Europa Conference League to lose to a team playing in a lower division.That shows that West Ham is truly in a volatile performance in the Premier League.
I didn't get to see the game to the very end, that was because, I dozed off right after that goal was scored. It should have been a penalty if he had not beaten the goalkeeper completely. ( I mean the first goal ).
West Ham United wasn't with players like Paqueta, Kudus the Ghanaian as lastly Jared Bowen. They're name I knew that wasn't available.
Ivan Toney after his eight months ban has finally returned and should be amongst the list of players to play the next games for Brentford.
Though, I would love if he makes the switch to Arsenal, but that's far from getting done.
Everton are now the scapegoat, this should definitely lead to point deduction,but if it doesn't, they should and would escape relegation.
