This is my take on the EPL at the moment. I think it would be more difficult for Arsenal to battle it out with Manchester City now that City have got all key players back in the team. Arsenal seem to be the ones who have lost their form. Aston Villa are also firing at the moment but I doubt they can maintain the momentum for too long. Liverpool also don’t look like much problem for Manchester City at the moment without Mo Salah. Guardiola obviously have an advantage in the race.
Mo Salah won't be away forever, he will prolly miss only two EPL games or so, except he picks up an injury during the AFCON. Liverpool are strong contenders, and i think they have a very good chance to be champions this season. Arsenal will get back to form, that's for sure, but they are not going to win the EPL, Arsenal players are yet to get the experience that's needed to become Premier League champions, their time will come, and they are getting closer, but it will not happen this season. If City don't win it (and i think they will), then Liverpool will be champions.

Let's hope Manchester City are back to their form. They now have a complete squad again. The player who caused the drop in their performance this season is back, which is De Bruyne. Since De Bruyne went on injury this season, Pep Guardiola hasn’t gotten a perfect replacement for him, which is really affecting the team. But he is back, and his performance was nice in their last match, which was in the FA Cup. He was able to make an assist in the match, which shows that he is back, and he is ready to improve Manchester City's performance. With the way Arsenal have begun to play poorly, I don’t think they will be able to face Manchester City.

Arsenal seem to be the ones who have lost their form.

Arsenal's performance has dropped, and they are finding it difficult to score in most matches. Arsenal really depends on Saka, but as we can see, Saka's performance is not really good this season. His performance has dropped, and he is finding it difficult to score in most matches. His performance can’t be compared with last season. I think Saka should be given a rest. Arsenal really needs more experienced strikers.

I this agree with the post above me, I don't think arsenal tried to win that game, I watch the match and first half both teams played very poorly, the chances Arsenal had were never a serious threat to Liverpool defense in any way. I think it was generally a boring match and both teams did not give it their all, Liverpool had some luck to end up winners in the end.
This match was actually not too boring because both teams played very carefully, in fact I think this match was very interesting for both teams.

In the first half it wasn't that Arsenal didn't try to win the match but they were less effective even though Liverpool didn't perform well in the first half because the CB and fullback communication was not in sync plus the build up continued to fail because Arsenal played high press, luckily Liverpool had goalkeeper Alisson who was on fire.

Entering the second half, coach Klopp saw Arsenal's physical weakness due to playing fast in the first half. He started replacing players with young players, the results were very surprising. Liverpool managed to win with a convincing score. In my opinion, Klopp's strategy in this match was brilliant.

I do not think Arsenal didn't want to win this match. I think Arsenal was just caught lacking by the coach of Liverpool as you said. And that also compared with Arsenal not performing very well right now, it has made Arsenal perform worse in my opinion. When young players are coming on for the other team, and you do not have gas left in the tank, it is going to be a problem to both attack and defend at the same time. That is the thing the Liverpool quotes exploited perfectly. Arsenal did try to win this match in my opinion. They were just unable to. I believe Arsenal is capable of performing better. They are just not in the best of form right now.

If De Bruyne and Haaland perform well, Manchester City will become even stronger. Despite poor performances in a few matches and dropping points, City's performance is quite stable at the moment. However, the performance of Arsenal's players is now very erratic. The Arsenal team is now far behind in the points table after losing in the last 5 matches. If the players can't return to form yet and Arsenal drop points in a few more games then they will have to give up hope of winning the syrup. I think the two most worthy rivals for the Premier League title are Liverpool and Manchester City. Both these teams will likely continue to fight for the title till the end of the season.

Now the first half has started and looking at the line-up that occurred in this match, I was actually quite surprised with what they played in this match because they almost lowered most of their core players for the match that occurred in round 3 today.
Even though the match in this competition is not too important but it seems like they are aware that this is not just about competition but there is a prestige that must be maintained considering this is a big match.

20 minutes of running time is now Arsenal who are more in control even though some of the kicks they try to do still miss the on Target but overall in these 20 minutes of possession and opportunities Arsenal dominate.

Arsenal was dominating the match against liverpool and it was creating two goal attempts. The performance of liverpool was very different without salah. Gakpo was filling salah's position but he can do nothing in this match. Liverpool has not yet made even a single goal attempt which is bad for the club.
Liverpool can lose against arsenal if the club keep try to play passively. Arsenal was always dominating the ball and attack compared to the liverpool. Counter attack could be the main solution for this but there was no salah who can do that as fast as possible.
Gakpo contributed nothing in this game and it proves that liverpool needs to buy a new right winger as a back up for salah. It was not as deadly as when salah was there. I must say liverpool's gameplay is so bad in this game.
Arsenal was leading the stat compared to the liverpool. It's very disappointed to see that klopp was always relied upon salah. Liverpool can still have a chance through diaz and nunez.
Let's see what will be going on soon. I expect a tough game till the last minute even for arsenal which is dominating the match.
Salah was not included in the line-up and was on the bench because he was preparing to defend his country in the African cup of Nations so he will definitely not be at Liverpool for some time and something like this also happened to several other clubs.

In the match between Arsenal and Liverpool in the second half I think everything was the same as in the first half because Arsenal were better in terms of performance it's just that at crucial moments Arsenal could not keep their concentration and it was immediately punished by Liverpool with 2 goals that were created even though 1 goal came from an own goal.
It's quite unfortunate for Arsenal because actually if the comparison for their performance is better than Liverpool in this match but of course when talking about the match then the victory must be scored through goals and Arsenal could not do that which made them have to be eliminated in the FA Cup this time.

I don't know how you judge the game play of a match, of course because I don't agree with your opinion. Both teams played well throughout the match and Arsenal had better form in the first half than in the second. Arsenal posed a threat to Liverpool's defense with several shots on target, but unfortunately they failed to score. In the second half Arsenal tried something better, but Liverpool were able to match it and lead the match until they finally won the match. Not boring at all, unless you bet on the wrong choice.
I personally watched the game and can say it was a tense one. Arsenal are not good at finishing, that was a problem before an own goal started Arsenal's defeat to Liverpool. So I don't agree with your assumption, because I enjoy their games.

I would say we saw Arsenal's dominance in the first half. Liverpool played a defensive strategy in the first half. They don't try to attack too much. Perhaps Kopp tried to find the weaknesses in Arsenal's defence. Although Arsenal played well in the first half, Arsenal failed to dominate in the second half as Liverpool's players played very attacking. In the second half Liverpool players were able to make several great attacks. Also, the performance of Liverpool's players was very organized throughout the match. Arsenal lost due to their poor match tactics and weakness of attacking players.

Of course, Liverpool is not the only one affected by this. Still, leaving the team at a time like this would be damaging for Liverpool, which is competing for the title. They need Salah to become champions. He's a fantastic striker. He also plays great on the wing. Frankly, it is a privilege to have it. I hope he returns soon.

Mo Salah will prefer to win the AFCON with Egypt than the premier League with Liverpool. Mo Salah has been unlucky at AFCON, he hasn't won it despite been the best player in Africa and having a good teammate. They have reach some finals but always unlucky and Mo Salah wouldn't want to return soon

Liverpool can play well and win without Mo Salah. He's their best goal scorer but he's not a striker. Mo Salah is a winger and there are other good players that can play his position, Liverpool proved it against Arsenal in the FA cup by winning and knocking them out of the tournament.

J.Klopp is an experienced coach and he also has alot of players that he can rotate to bring victory to his team. Other premier league clubs are losing players for AFCON therefore other teams won't be playing at their peak and this give chance for any team to win.

The players going to play AFCON aren't going away for a long time so they won't be missing alot if their teams can hold on until they're back to continue from where they stopped to keep carrying their teams and winning games for them.

I mean I wouldn't be too mad at them for losing to Liverpool. People are overreacting a bit, sure they have lost a few games in a row now and that is why people are reacting so badly, but THIS one is not really a shock, they played against Liverpool and Liverpool is by far one of the best teams of entire premier league in the last 10 years, only beaten by City, when you lost to second best team of the last 10 years in a nation, that shouldn't really be a big deal at all, I think that's normal.

Arsenal is getting better, they are a respectable team, and they are going to probably be better and better with team, they just hit a rock now and having trouble but with time I am sure that they are going to get better.
Experiencing defeat by Liverpool in the FA Cup is quite normal. And we shouldn't be surprised by these results. In fact, Arsenal actually dominated the game quite well in this match from the start. But I also understand the disappointment that many people complained about Arsenal in that match. Because Arsenal actually almost scored a goal in the early minutes of the match. But they wasted it. And it happened not once but several times. It was as if the Arsenal players were very nervous in the match and were not confident in executing a shot or finishing. Maybe the disappointment is more this way from my point of view. Since the start, Liverpool have actually been under quite a lot of pressure from the Arsenal players, but yeah, it's a little annoying to see opportunities wasted. Their Arsenal squad is nervous because the opponent they face is one of the best EPL teams, namely Liverpool. So I also feel this is normal. I hope that in the next match Arsenal can do better. Because currently Arsenal is also almost eliminated from the top 4 rankings. If they continue to get bad results then the top 4 ranking will belong to another team.

I was not expecting at all to see Arsenal losing this game even against a team like Liverpool because for a coach like Arteta with the money they spent it was very important to win the match and try his luck to win the FA Cup in this season.
But the perfect performance of Klopp was the reason for Liverpool to win this game and now they are in the top side of the Premier League while at the same time, they can have a chance for the FA Cup.

Ok that is quite optimistic because I think that no team so far has ever won the treble twice in a row. Solely based on statistics I think that this statement is doomed to turn out to be wrong, but for as long as Manchester City is around and in the position to win all of the titles, there is nothing that speaks against them doing it. Whether they will, I don't know. But we can see that the competition in the Premier League has become incredibly tough and in the Champions League, there are a couple of clubs that I think are on the same level as Manchester City. Definitely Real Madrid I think.
Yeah mate my statement is just based on speculations and assumptions and nothing more than that,  because we have already multiple factors that may prevent that occurrence from happening and as the season goes going more or more limits may be placed on Manchester City that will prevent them from achieving that records of maintaining that position for multiple of time.

But also we can't outrightly write them off either since at the moment,  Manchester City is the defending champion and is more likely perceived as the closest club to the title since they hold the title currently.

I think Manchester City's situation looks kind of relaxing right now because Arsenal messed up a few games. They dropped points in the last 3 matches.  Drew against Liverpool which I think was an alright result but they lost the next 2 games against Fulham and West Ham which is unacceptable. But that has done good things for Manchester City because they are already ahead of them without even having to put in an effort. Salah of Liverpool is also leaving for AFCON for the upcoming few matches and they have a good chance of dropping the points. So, Manchester can be sitting relaxed right now. Aston Villa won’t be much of a problem I believe.

Manchester City's key players are also back. KDB made his comeback 2 matches ago, Haaland is looking to start the next match and Rodri also made a comeback from the injury a few games ago. So I think they are clear right now from the injuries of their major key players. All they have to do right now and go and win the games which will be easy if they don't face any more injuries.

I think the competition between these players to get the EPL golden boot is still very wide open and they still have the opportunity to increase the number of goals they will score in the remainder of this season. But what is clear is that the competition for top scorers will still be dominated by Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah until the end of this season. Quite curious who will set another record this season.
With the way the league is going and the competition for first place, Erling Haaland and Mohammed Salah will undoubtedly be the favourites to win the golden boot this season. They are both doing well for their respective teams and are eager to score more goals to give their teams an advantage in the race for the Premier League title. The other players who made the top scorers list are doing great as well, but there is no guarantee that they will remain there until the end of the season. Liverpool currently leads the table, with Manchester City trailing in points. However, due to Haaland's spectacular nature, he is likely to win the golden boot this season.
In this season, we have few entertaining competitions like at the top we have 3 teams which are fighting hard for the title and for the goalscorer competition we also have few players even Haaland is still hot favourite but as we have Mohammad Salah things can go interesting currently both are having 14 goals each and Son is also doing good which is creating good fight for the golden boat in this season after half of this season.

Now few things giving good advantage to Haaland and Son as they both will be stayed in Premier League and Mohammad Salah is going back to home for the national duty and any injury or problem can give him setback for his chance to win golden boat even currently he is at his best and can do good for the Liverpool.

There is still alot ahead of this season and Manchester City is still in a good position to climb the table to top the league,  I was arguing with a Manchester City fan earlier this week and he was so optimistic that Manchester City is going to retain their current title in all leagues.
Seriously this season will be kind of different for Manchester City, there performance is really good also this season, but it can’t be compared with last season, I still believe they should be able to retain premier league title this season, but they are going to find it difficult to win other league titles this season. Manchester City performance drop this season since De Bruyne went on injury, but now that he is back, let’s see how Manchester City performance is going to improve. Their next premier league match will be against Newcastle, let’s see how Manchester city Will perform in the match.

The results that follows when a club doesn't stand strong enough and have experience of deep losses have baffled Arsenal. They're currently not anticipating in any solid tournaments except the UEFA Champions League and also a little bit revival in the English Premier League. Goals are scored in every match and we just hoped things go smooth for the Gunners. Arsenal working currently on restructuring their team this season. They have been through alot of disastrous form and I hoped Mikel Arteta will definitely bounce his team back to the winning form the fans and the board desires.
Arsenal basically didn't want that defeat and they have tried their best to win it. Liverpool were luckier in taking their chances than Arsenal, even if Arsenal had more big chances wasted. Of course this has a bad impact on Arsenal, but this defeat proves that Arsenal always have difficulty appearing higher than other teams.
Arsenal really need a winning mentality, they don't have it at the moment even though I think Arsenal have a good chance of winning. It's difficult to get results like that when the team's performance is quite good when starting the match, but what can you do, Arsenal failed with all their good chance. Arteta and everyone in the team are responsible for the defeat, so they have to get up and try to do better.

Nobody will say that Arsenal played badly in this match. They tried to score until the end of the match. They attacked more than Liverpool. But even then the Arsenal team is not able to win. They can't even score a single goal.

Arsenal players were able to create a lot of scoring opportunities in this match. But due to the lack of experienced striker, they could not score a single goal. We have seen poor performances from Arsenal's forwards in the last few matches. If the performance of these players does not improve, the Arsenal team will fall far behind in the title race.

Arsenal tried a lot to win the match against Liverpool. But they were unable to do so. Now I don't want to say that Arsenal won't be able to actually get back to the good form that they were in back a few weeks but it sure looks to be very hard for them to do right now. They have not done very well in the last 5 matches. Far better was expected from them.

I don't know if we can say it's all because of their mentality or not. Of course, they are not in the best shape right now.
So the mentality is not going to be the best at this moment. But they should be inspired if they think about the previous performance they were doing.
They were literally the best and 1st team on the table of EPL. they have what it takes to get back at the top again for sure.

De Bruyne made a great return by the way. He entered the game in the 57th minute of their FA Cup game and it took him only 17 minutes to make an assist to Doku.  Smiley  It was a really lovely assist as well. This is great news for Manchester City as the games which De Bruyne is a part of are much more winnable for them.

From now on I expect to see him in their next Premier League games as well. I don't know if he would be in the starting eleven right away in their next league game. But in a short time at worst he would take his place back there for sure.
Great players like De Bruyne always have a good impact in a game; his impact in yesterday's match shows that Manchester City will bounce back strong in the Premier League to keep their title challenge. Doku, Haaland, and Alverest will now start shining because the man that will feed them with passes is back, and Manchester City will now be the best team in the Premier League as they used to be because their main man, KDB, is back and fully fit.
From here look like luck and all things going into Manchester City favour as their opponents are losing their players due to African Cup of Nations, and they are having no serious impact with this which is huge booster for them and their key players are also coming back in good form with injuries list are also giving positive changes for them.

Even we have news Pepe is thinking to have some signings as well for the rest of the season, but their current change fortune is also good for their defend of the title they needed Haaland and Alvarez on their best in remaining season things are surely going to be toughest specially Liverpool is doing his best and now having spot at the top of the league table.

The inability to convert domination into goals can indeed be a concern. Restructuring the team and signing a new striker are the needs now. Arteta has been failing his plan with the signing of Jesus and Havert who performed way under expectation. Restructuring and strategic player acquisitions are potential solutions to address performance issues.
Arsenal's recent performances were discouraging that makes Arteta needs to make tough decisions, and Arteta will likely be evaluating the team's strategy and composition. They need to make positive adjustments moving forward to bring better results for the team and its supporters.

As someone who watched Arsenal performances in the beginning in almost the whole of the first half of the season, I'm very surprised with their recent performances because they're absolutely underperforming compared to what they did at the start of the season. Arsenal were so impressive that I thought they were gonna end the season with the English Premier League title but with their recent performances, I don't they'll be able to finish the season with any trophy this season.

Against Liverpool yesterday, I expected Arsenal to make sure they eliminated the Reds since the FA Cup looks like the only domestic cup that they're capable of winning this season. They're currently in the fourth position of the English Premier League table but I don't think they're competitive enough to win the league this season and now that they've been eliminated from the English FA Cup, their only hope of lifting a trophy this season if you ask me will be to win the UEFA Europa League competition and that I don't think will be easy for them since they're are many other strong European clubs that are also contesting for the trophy
