Liverpool - 1.57
Arsenal - 3.75
Manchester City - 9.00
Chelsea - 17.00

I love this trend!
It looks like City are out of the race and we can't worry about them.
The only thing that surprised me is why Chelsea's chances were worsened after this round where they soundly thrashed Aston Villa? Plus they have absolutely identical statistics to Arsenal.
I wonder how Slot/Liverpool will cope with the pressure? If they don't win the title from this position it will go down in history and eclipse all of Arsenal's "achievements" in this regard.
Yeah it looks like City will soon abdicate in the Premier league.
City's chances of winning the championship are very far away so this is no longer a concern for Liverpool.

Chelsea's chances are worsening because the bookies think Chelsea will not be consistent maybe....
At least Chelsea are still far away from winning the title, even though Arsenal are tight competitors sometimes this team likes to deviate at the end of the season making them fail again to win the title.

As for Arsenal, I can say that they are simply playing worse than last year. For comparison: last year, Tottenham was in 5th place after 13 rounds and had 26 points. Now Arsenal has one point less, but formally it is in second place. This applies to Chelsea to a lesser extent, since Chelsea is progressing compared to last year.
By the way, Liverpool is outperforming hard. Maybe it's time to get back to normal a bit and lose to Newcastle, for example?  Roll Eyes

Seven games without a win! OMG! It's as if the clubs in the Premier league are hell bent on giving Pep Guardiola a heart attack cause I don't see how any club who meets them aren't afraid to inflict injury on them and today Liverpool dealt mercilessly with them to the point that City began playing football that lower division clubs would play. I've enjoyed good football but today's game against Man City was a true testament of how well Arne Slot has taken care of the team.
When they were under Jurgen klopp, they had confidence but it's like with Slot, the confidence rate is on another level. At this rate they could well take back the title like they did in the 2019/20 season if they continue to be fearless and win games.

This is the reality of the saying, nothing last forever, Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City team has also taken advantage of the poor performance of some teams in the league to beat them and win the league easily I think it is the opportunity given to the English Premier League teams to beat them right now and to make things difficult for them before they will get back to good form.

To be honest I wasn't expecting Liverpool to score just 2 goals against Manchester City today because Manchester City is a team that doesn't have mercy when ever they play any team that is in poor form so I think I am happy seeing what is happening to the team right now but I hope to see them coming back better probably next two seasons 😉

It's 2:0 at the Emirates in favour of Arsenal. Mikel Arteta's men have been the dominant team in the entire game as they had few goals ruled off for offsides in the first half while Bukayo Saka managed to get a goal but in the second half, Arsenal have double their lead through Thomas Partey who was set up by Bukayo Saka. Considering the performances of both teams, I don't think Nottingham Forest stands a chance of getting a point in this game. Or do you think there might be a late drama?

Arsenal is one of the teams that have to be most careful because basically when Arsenal are on a roll they are dangerous, they can run over anyone and that is why Liverpool and Arsenal were struggling last season, this Arsenal team is very good and they should be careful, I personally do not dare to give a prediction about the possible results of the P1 final, it is very difficult because it may be that City does many things at the end and remains in first place as happened last season, I like what Arsenal is doing, but I think they have to get used to continuing to win.

Manchester City is unrecognizable. How did they get like this in a few weeks? I still don't understand. Against Liverpool, they couldn't even get a shot on target for 80 minutes. What happened to this goal machine team. It can't be explained only by Rodri's injury. The team has no goal scorer except Haaland. When he can't score either, City show us such barren matches. 4 defeats in a row, the team is mentally broken this season. I really can't understand why this is happening just when Pep has renewed his contract. When they should have been more ambitious, they let loose.

Well, Manchester City case is a clear example that nothing is permanent. Of course, we all know that a day like this would come because they can't continue dominating the league forever but we really don't expect it this soon. Ten Hang once said that "Eras come to an end", perhaps, City era is about to be seized by Liverpool who are currently the league leader.
For just one season that has not even ended and you already think that Manchester City era is already coming to and end? Well I don't think that's the case. Manchester City has been solid for the past few years.  That they are not in a good position to carry the league this season doesn't mean that they are finished. Let's not forget that pep is still I charge of Manchester City. He knows what to do during the transfer window to turnaround the Fortune of Manchester City. Before we can conclude that Manchester City era of dominance is over is if they fail to win the league for the next 2 to 3 seasons. Manchester City case is just a mid season dip of form, and they will rise back. Manchester City is still the best team in the premier league. What Manchester City need to do is to sell some of the old players they have and bring in new players that are still passionate for success. This present squad has won so much together, sometimes the zeal to succeed more goes away, after you have achieved some certain goals in life. That's exactly what's happening in the Manchester City team.

Ten Hang once said that "Eras come to an end", perhaps, City era is about to be seized by Liverpool who are currently the league leader.

On another angle, we have to realise that bad form doesn't mean the team irrelevant because it's temporary and they might recover at any time. The league has not even reach halfway and there's still time for them to turn things around and make ammendments. From my observation, Man city played a good game compared to their previous matches despite their defeat. I just hope Pep pay attention to individual performances to know which player deserves to be in the starting line up and which deserve to be on the bench.
With a series of bad results experienced by Manchester City, it seems very appropriate to express the opinion that their era of dominating the top of the standings will end because they have fallen far behind Liverpool who are at the top of the standings. Pep Guardiola needs to evaluate in a big way at which point they have to improve and find 3 points again. Losing a lot of points is certainly very detrimental to the team and also the fans will definitely be disappointed but that's football, not always one team that continues to be the champion.

On the other hand, with Liverpool's slick appearance in today's match, of course they are one of the strongest teams in the Premier League this season. Arne slot was able to bring significant progress to Liverpool because until now they have been able to maintain their best performance. Arsenal is also like that, I mean if Arsenal performs well I think it will be difficult for them to catch up with Liverpool or overtake Liverpool at the top of the standings.

That’s the plain truth, Manchester City relied on Rodri, their performance was very poor this days because they don’t have squad depth especially in their defense because I see no reason why if they miss one player in their starting line up, it has to show in their entire performance which is very poor, but since it’s Manchester City, they people will overlook it until it shows itself to the public just as we are seeing how they are suffering defeat just because they lose Rodri.
This is the result of a lack of good players on the bench, but if Pep Guardiola had equally good players then Manchester City's performance would not be as bad. Losing Rodri is as bad as losing De Bruyne, that's because both players are equally important in the Manchester City squad so far. Defense and offensive creativity are completely compromised without either.

I saw De Bruyne come on in the second half of Manchester City's last few games, but it didn't have a great impact. He may not have fully recovered from the injury so it is very risky to play him from the start of the match. But I have to admit, Manchester City's defense this season is very weak.

I see some persons commenting on the Liverpool Manchester city game and they are saying Liverpool  managed to win Manchester city and i begin to wonder if this persons ever watched the game or they are just talking based of assumptions or with resentments probably because hey aren't a Liverpool fan because i believe if you had seen the game then you wouldn't be saying such seeing the brilliance exhibited by Liverpool and the inconsistencies around Manchester city at this point another thing is to seeing the fact that Liverpool did played so well they should be seen and considered deserving of the victory they got but city didn't perform well enough to consider Liverpool lucky.

I like the way you said it instead of mentioning the person or use insulting words. Well that's by the way but talking about the game between Liverpool vs Man City I'd say I was very disappointed by the way Liverpool played against a team that is not even a threat to them, chances was thrown away, Man City wasn't the Man City we used to know and I wonder why the goals wasn't much. Today Manchester City was like one of those teams struggling to avoid the relegation zone, no leader or a creative player in the City side, even when KDB came nothing new happened. It was as if all Pep's men were tired or they don't know what to do anymore and today's loss is making it 7 games without a win in all competitions and securing only 1pt which is very poor and has never happened before,  with this performance I don't think they can meet up to compete for the title race (is only to fight to finish 4th) because as it stands they might finish below the top 6. Every team are not in way planning to lose but let's see what a weak Manchester City can do during their next game.

I tend to think Liverpool could have won their home game instead of letting Manchester City win, but the outcome of that game could have been more erroneous than predictable.

Are you a time traveler?  Grin
No, not me.  Cheesy

My prediction is still the same as yesterday and I still believe Liverpool can win their home game.

That's why I was asking, you said could have won, which meant that the game was already played, and went further saying that the game was unpredictable, so how could you have known that yesterday? And second, why didn't you go all in if you knew it?  Grin

Anyhow, it's painful to watch the results and I want to puke when I look at the table, Liverpool screwed my bets 3 times, as I managed to pick exactly their 1 loss and 1 draw and now they are up front, 9 points advantage with just 13 games and having no problems whatsoever, like they are laughing in my face or something. And I'm definitely sure that if I even dare to put one cent on their match with Newcastle they are going to lose!

I think the Premier League title this season will be primarily contested between Liverpool and Manchester City. Arsenal would secure a third or fourth-place finish by the end of the season. I would be thrilled if Liverpool can maintain their current winning form and claim the Premier League title from Manchester City.

Manchester City has dominated the Premier League for a long time, making it seem like other clubs can't challenge them for the title. If Liverpool succeeds this season in lifting the Premier League title, it could open the door for another team, such as Chelsea or Arsenal, or even Liverpool again, to compete for the trophy next season. This could mean that Pep Guardiola is denied the Premier League trophy in his last two seasons as Manchester City's head coach since he just signed a year contract that will last until 2026.

It's a very good point of view on what you think the final can be like, many of us are guided by what we are seeing in Liverpool's performance, but as I have said on previous occasions, let's not be carried away by what we see, let's remember that Liverpool did spectacularly last season and did not reach the final, I'm not saying that they will not get there, if they can do it and City recovered and won , I think the prediction is good, but it is still too early because the Premier League is so difficult.
I don't see City in a position of taking over the lead from Liverpool because no one knows when they will be back go form. City might remain in their poor state till the end of the season who knows. I like what Liverpool is doing, taking advantage of their current performance to keep adding three points to their points.

Before City will get themselves, it will be too late to catch up with Liverpool talk more of taking over the league from them.

Manchester United played well in today’s match. I never expected Manchester United to score so many goals in the match, I was expecting a win from them, but I expected the match to be a tough one, even as they played against a weak team, but the match was so easy for Manchester United. As Ruben Amorim has been able to win today’s match easily, let’s see how Manchester United is going to perform in subsequent matches that they are going to play. Let’s hope Ruben Amorim will be able to improve Manchester United’s performance, today’s win will be a great encouragement for him.

It's been a while United scored four goal without conceding any. The reds did very well today and it's good to see Zirkzee on the scoresheet after going many matches without a goal. Rashford also had a great game, scored a brace and has now scored in back to back EPL matches under the new coach. I hope this new system favours the strikers and brings the best out of them. One player that standout in today's game is Amad Diallo, he was a real threat to everton defenders and I wonder why ETH was benching him all this while and choosing Antony over him. He was a beauty to watch, had two assists to his name and I'm surprised the referee didn't award a penalty when he was brought down towards the end of the game.

Now they are getting immersed and indeed this continuous defeat will definitely have a big impact on Pep's career going forward because this is the 7th time in the last 8 matches they have lost matches in all competitions run where indeed this will clearly have a very big impact of course for the mentality of the players and conditions that will certainly not be the same in the dressing room for Manchester City.

Although this match is not a few people argue from the beginning that Manchester City will not be able to win but actually I hope more for them but it seems that it is too big in terms of expectations for Manchester City at this time.

They lost and it looks like there must be some changes to be made because if it continues like this I doubt Pep can still survive if conditions like this continue.

Everyone is just surprised with the way Manchester City has been playing. Manchester City hasn’t been able to win any match in their last four Premier League matches played, even when they play against weak clubs. I don’t really know what’s wrong with Manchester City, I expected pep Guardiola to fix everything after the international break, but there is no difference in the way Manchester City has been playing.

Manchester City's performance was just so poor in the match. They played the first half and had just one goal attempt and zero shots on target. It was a surprising thing to me, Manchester City's goal scoring machine, which is Haaland, was not even active on the field, and I'm surprised that Foden has failed Manchester City also, he can’t be found when Manchester City needs him most. Liverpool didn’t play anything special in the match also, if they had played well, they would have scored more than 2 goals in the match. Seriously, the match was just so boring to me.

Chelsea added one more goal to the number from Cole Palmer at 83rd minutes  in the second half leaving the score at 3:0. Maresca a doing a great job with much of improvements on the squad, aside Jackson's, the Ecuadorian  Moisés Caicedo was also in a good shape within the midfield controlling and making those passes that we haven't seen with him manning Chelsea midfield recently. With the result of this game in favour of Chelsea they now stand at 3rd position on the table right behind Arsenal who are same points.
Chelsea performance today was incredible they ended the match with 3-0. It was N. Jackson Open the goal way and seconded by E. Fernández making the 2 goal and Core Palmer completed the 3rd goal at 83 minutes of the match. And dominated in the match so they deserve the 3 goals. Chelsea now has the same points with Arsenal in the table. They both have 25 points with Liverpool leading the table with 32 points.
As I said earlier, the control Chelsea had in that game was through their domination of the midfield, they had it locked inside out by Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia and Moisés Caicedo team performance in the middle,  Aston villa got displaced that they couldn't get a single reply of a goal giving Chelsea a clean sheet victory.

Liverpool vs Manchester City is live now. Liverpool is a sure game.

Another defeat for Manchester city it was today at anfield as City couldn't end their losing spree in 7 consecutive games. It was a an incredible performance by Gakpo and M. Salah who helped Liverpool secure the 2 goals to nil against City. The Reds are now standing 11 points clear away from City and 9 points from Arsenal and Chelsea on the table.

It’s a pity for them how the absence of a single player will affect the stability of the whole team. The absence of Rodri has really affected the performance of Manchester City and it is almost as if without him they cannot play well again. I think it is because the midfielders are not creative enough and the wingers are not as prolific as they used to be, i am sure Guardiola would miss Mahrez and Sterling and all the wingers he used to have back in the days because Doku, Nunez, Grealish and Savinho are all not productive they don’t take risks and take on defenders well enough.

It’s a disgrace that City couldn’t create chances and were playing as if they are a bottom table team, they barely caused any harm to the Liverpool defense. Losing 4 premier league games on a row is really bad and i think the team is unstable mentally but i like it, i like the way Guardiola is struggling so he would know that the pressure in the league and that the premier league is not an easy league.

9 point difference to Arsenal, thats the gap Liverpool has right now, on the very first season of Arne Slot. I did not expected this to be a simple issue and seeing how things could be this great for them, it really confuses me to see not only City being this bad, but also seeing Liverpool this good as well. I believe we are going to see a lot more things changing but at the end of the day we are going to end up with Liverpool winning the league this season. After all, things are not always straight forward in football, sometimes unexpected happens. This makes seven game without a win for City right? Six losses? That is getting to an insane level, I am shocked really.
