Manchester United played well last season, but I am just surprised that Manchester United is struggling this season.
Things change fast in Manchester United because they have yet solved their problems. They also have bad strategies for transfer because they tend to buy old star players and hope those old players can help them to solve problems. Yes, they can solve problems for Manchester United but only temporarily. As old players, they can not help the club in a long time. Ibrahimovic, Cavani, Cristiano Ronaldo, Eriksen, Casemerio are enough examples for the failed transfer strategy in Manchester United.
I was thinking that Manchester United will be among the clubs that will be contesting for the Premier League this season, but as we can see, if they can continue with their current performance, I don’t even think they will be able to end the season in the top 5. With Manchester United's current condition, the worst mistake they will make is just to sack Ten Hag. If they can sack Ten Hag, I don’t know the number of coach they will change before they finally balance, let’s just give Ten Hag more time, Manchester United should just make a harsh decision which they are likely going to regret.
They still have chance because the season is long and it has yet went half of a season. However they must improve themselves a lot to compete with other clubs. The rises of Newcastle United, Arsenal and Tottenham make competition for top four is very challenging and Manchester United will fail in this race if they make too many mistakes during this season.
Sacking Ten Hag won't help them as they already sacked many coaches previously. Sacking Ten Hag, hiring a new coach, don't change their transfer strategy, they will fail again.
