Amorim is very young and already achieved success in Sporting Lisbon, and if he turns out to be good coach for Manchester United, it will help the club to change a lot, after about a decade with many coaches, a lot of money spent and still struggle to participate in top four of Premier League consistently and not yet competing for Premier League title.
We can't judge Amorim's performance from just one match. Although actually if it was the Manchester United we know they should have won that match. After the match I remember Amorim said that they had a problem in finishing. Amorim is a young coach and he has a lot of time to get Manchester United back on the winning track. And on the other hand I think Amorim has to train the squad with the resources available. I'm sure there will be some obstacles where Amorim doesn't have players who can implement the tactics he wants to play. United is different from Sporting because in Sporting they are all players chosen by Amorim to build a solid squad. I think Amorim should be given the opportunity to evaluate their squad by making some player purchases in this transfer market.
After the transfer window has ended and Amorim has made adjustments to the Manchester United squad by signing new players and selling those who don't fit to be in Manchester United, we can begin to properly evaluate his performance as head coach, as the season progresses. Currently, it seems premature to judge Amorim when there is still a lot of work to be done regarding player signing and selling. Once all that is done, we can then assess how the Manchester United squad has been in terms of their match performance. However, from the beginning of December to the end of the month, we can expect Manchester United to experience a mix of wins, draws, and losses in their matches.

A strange question, and accordingly an obvious answer from Guardiola. If the team's midfield is losing and cannot create enough chances for the striker, then naturally he does not score goals. Another thing is that I saw Haaland's statistics and he has problems with converting chances - if I remember correctly, he scored 2 goals while "wasting" 8 Xg. But everyone has temporary slumps, and at the moment the whole City is playing terribly.
Haaland is a good striker due to his high chance of converting almost all the chances he get in front of goal, he knows how to score goals from different angles, but without creative midfielders, Haaland is nothing in the field that is why when Manchester Midfield is having problem, the front line couldn’t help because the main man relies on the passes from the midfield.
Unlike other strikers who come out to hustle for ball and chances to be created, Haaland is not a natural team player that is why some people don’t like him because he is always missing when City is under pressure.

Salah is near to Haaland, 10.. seems Haaland stop his fury, strange
Nothing strange because Haaland has no one who can feed him. I know De bruyne was just coming back to the squad last game, and he needs several matches to get his confidence. That's why he was unable to feed haaland caused by he's not at his good condition after he recovered from his injury.

Haaland needs someone who can always send the ball to him, but he lacks of endurance to leave opponent's CB. It's something he must fix it to continue his fury.

At least Haaland is still at the top of the top scorer standings so far in the Premier League but indeed, Salah is getting closer because he only has a gap of two goals at this time. Thus, then of course Haaland's position becomes very threatened because Salah can at any time overtake Haaland at the top of the top scorer standings. But, regarding this competition I think basically Manchester City is indeed, experiencing a decline in performance, so it might be natural if later Salah managed to overtake Haaland. So, the problem is not because Haaland has become barren or has decreased goal productivity, but because Manchester City as a whole has decreased the quality of its performance at this time.

It won't be so long for Salah to take Haaland's place if he keeps to play at his peak performance. He's very near to the Haaland's position, which leading the top score.

We know very well how struggle Haaland is right now by missing so many chances, and he has no good passer on his side. It may make him unable to score in the upcoming games.

Haaland could have helped if he's play better, but he's terrible, and too dependent on someone to feed him with the breaking line pass. He missed many chances. That's how it is when someone declines from their peak. I'm not saying he's bad, but he's declining now.

I am sure that strategy will not work perfectly because it will make it difficult for them to stop the opponent's deadly attacks. Especially if they do not have defenders who have higher roaming abilities when they want to attack or defend.

He wasn't a magician, hoping for an instant result was impossible. I agree the players need a lot of adjustments to the game pattern. Amorim brings new styles and patterns, so they require a process. Let's take a look at the many matches that will run. We'll see how the players work, whether they can work well. Seeing the game, Man United has not been able to carry out the coach's instructions well. I saw some moments of Amorim's facial expressions not being too happy with the performance of some players.
It would be very unfair to expect anything spectacular from this weak Manchester United team despite having a new tactician on board. It is obvious that the team has a lot of weak players who can't really run and do not have the technical abilities required to successfully dominate their opponents during matches and at such the coach only needs to identify these players and replace them during the transfer window with young and viable players who can deliver based on his philosophy thereby making it possible for the club to compete comfortably. Probably we will witness this overhaul in a way that it might not please some fans because their favourite players might be sent off possibly players like Rashford and Harry Maguire etc.
Manchester United is trying to play differently in matches with its new manager. Manager Amorim is still in the process of getting to know the team. He is also trying to do something with the current squad since he could not get the players he wanted. Therefore, the failures he may experience until the mid-season break in the Premier League are not his responsibility. He will try to somehow get the troubled squad from the past together. However, he will reach the point where he should be criticized next year. If he fails despite the squad he wants being formed next year, then Ruben Amorim may hear high criticism levels.

It is very difficult to say if Amorim will fail at Manchester United based on just one game, Amorim of course needs time to rebuild the lame squad after being left by Ten Hag, Adaptation to strategy, game patterns and also selection for a new starting eleven certainly takes time especially if we want to see big changes occur, Amorim who has spent a lot of his time in the Portuguese league certainly brings new and different philosophy, so the players need time to adjust to the style of play applied, we know if now Manchester United is indeed in a transition phase and instant results are often unrealistic, so it is important for the team to stay focused and work hard in every game to get good results later.
I think Amorim playing a draw in his first match in charge of Man Utd is a welcome development, that match enabled him to have a first hand view of how he is going to be playing his pattern or tactics , the fact that the match against Ipwich Town ended draw means there is a lot of work to be done on the team in term of transiting from their former formation to the new one, had Man Utd won that match there would have been a lot of conviction that Amorim is equal to the task of managing the team whereas their opponent was a weak team unfortunately a lot of Man Utd fans wanted an instant positive impact on the team which is not possible for now.

Haaland cannot do without De Bruyne, especially when the other wingers don't understand him. If you look at this past weekend match, Savinho couldn't work with Haaland and that frustrated him. Haaland is only a finisher, give him the ball to strike inside the back of the net is what he is good at. If you look at City, the midfield is weak and it's also affecting the strikers.
Ronaldo said something about him regarding his talent, he said Haaland without De Bruyne would record less goal scoring and that is what is affecting him. If really he's observant by now he will have improved but chooses to relax which is affecting him now. Have a striker like Haaland in five matches and they couldn't win a match, it's annoying, Manchester City have turned to something else where many dumped their refuge under the leadership of Pep. I'm beginning to give up on Pep as the one of the best coach because even Tag Hag didn't make this kind of worse scenario, losing five consecutive matches. Tonight they will play against Feyenoord in the Champions League match, let see if they can end this embarrassment they are facing.

Newcastle are suppose to be the ones leading this encounter but it seems they're never serious until things start getting bad for them. Having all the ball possession in this game but could not show that hunger to get a goal, I wonder why they become very much stronger to beat when it comes to the bigger teams but if they're playing a team that's of the same level with them you'd see them playing rubbish. Since West Ham are leading I can't say they are going to continue with the strength they used in the first half because we know how poor they are in maintaining a lead and Newcastle will come all out to get an equalizer and even win the game but let's see if the visitors can surprise us by defending properly.

Newcastle did dominate the match in terms of ball possession, but they were not good at creating important opportunities. We can see it from the total shots on goal from both teams, Newcastle has 2 while West Ham United has 6. Many people predict that Newcastle will win, because they also benefit from the home side of the match. However they destroyed all expectations, I'm sure there were a lot of failed betting slips.
Newcastle really disappointed many people yesterday, I didn't doubt they're winning due to their previous encounter. I don't expected that West Ham United can do it especially when they are playing away but unfortunately, they tend to break the unbeaten record. The ball possession didn't matter if there are no chances created, they failed to take the advantage of chances they had by dominating the entire game. West Ham United succeeded in defeating Newcastle, this will give them more courage against Arsenal in their next game.

Erling Haaland haven't been prolific as he used to be for Manchester City which have made many to start doubting his goal scoring abilities even when he's currently the top scorer in the league. Pep Guardiola was asked today about the Norwegian and he said
“I would say the reason for our lack of goals is not Erling Haaland. Without Erling, we would be more in trouble!”.

“Erling will score 2/3 goals in one game soon, you’ll see. He always did that”.

What do you make of his response about the striker?

We shouldn't be talking about failure when the coach just led the club in a single game. In some quarters people are saying that the club would have retained Ruud van Nistelrooy because of his instant success as an interim coach. Ruben Amorim is a highly respected coach because of his transformation of Sporting Lisbon and I believe he would succeed in England. All he needs now is the loyalty and support of the players.

Nistelrooy was able to inspire the players and caused them to give their best. Maybe the new coach could meet the th former Manchester United striker for advice.

Exactly the point, this is just one game played, we can start now to conclude things, perhaps his new team has not adapt to his coaching style, there are still things that are needed to be be in place, the players needs to understand him for a good result to be actualized, though every business man needs a good result no matter what, this is why amorim should understand that he is in Manchester United to do a job that someone was relieved of his duty because of the person's inability to deliver, so he should also know that excuses may not be entertained if he does the same.
In the aspect of having a problem in finishing, amorim was in training with them and I believe that he would have seen one or two lapses that needed to be worked on, my bad let me not start by judging him hence i frowned at that earlier, I believe he is a good manager because if his not, the level he led sporting to wouldn't have been possible, despite that Manchester united won few matches before he came, there was still lapses which i believe amorim can correct now his  there, there is hope after all it was just a draw not loss.

Sexylizzy2813 is right about that because when you check the statistics you will see that Newcastle dominated like he explained and from the 5 minutes they had 68 percent possession while West Ham United was 38 percent and it was just like that till Tomas Soucek from West Ham United score there goal and even after that Newcastle United was still higher in possession till the last minutes, so actually this two goals were not supposed to be against them because they were too good against West Ham United to lose the match but I blame them because possession was more of there concern and not goal, meanwhile if what you meant was short on target then you are right because Newcastle United only had 2 while West Ham United had 6 on target.

That's the issue they (Newcastle) always have, as of back then when they shocked everyone by finishing in top 4 and also qualifying for the UCL I thought Newcastle was going to be very hard to bring down and they'll repeat what Leicester did by winning the EPL title. Another smaller team to win the league and Newcastle seems like the team but at the end they couldn't get close to the title that very season, it was a disappointing effort they gave us.
For now, like what we saw last night I can say West Ham are better than Newcastle because West Ham acted like the bigger side and they should be seen as the favorite and sometimes we should ignore the bookie for real, imagine the kind of odd that won after making Newcastle the favorite and with a smaller odd, is not suppose to be (for West Ham to win).

Manchester city Vs Spurs because we need to see if we will laugh at Pep and his boys once more.
And finally, we really laugh at pep Guardiola, much more laugh, never ending laugh.
But at least, Pep Guardiola has set a new record and history for himself, namely this is the first time in history that Pep Guardiola has lost 5 consecutive games.

This is not only a big defeat, but a humiliating defeat for Man City. Tottenham not only beat Man City, but slaughtered and humiliated them at Man City's home ground, how can Pep still lift his face. This is really painful.

Phew, this was unbelievable. This loss, never ever would anyone place a bet like that. Cheesy 0-4 is a shocker. But now Manchester City's problems seem to be more serious than I initially thought. It all looked like they were simply having a bad time, but this loss is a huge bummer for them and it shows the whole league that Manchester City is indeed vulnerable.
Indeed this is hard to believe because we know Man City is a very strong team in the EPL but lately their performance has been very bad and have experienced consecutive defeats in their last five matches and it seems that many are also favoring Man City and betting on this club I am sure many people are surprised by this defeat. After the international break Man City has not improved I am a little worried about Man City's performance this season.
No matter how strong a club is, they have to go through bad times at some point in the season like Manchester City is going through right now. Manchester City have performed consistently in the English Premier League for the past few seasons but this season is not going well for them. The number of matches they played in the season and the number of matches they should have won by playing this total match they did not win. Their poor performances have left them far behind Liverpool in terms of points, leaving them in doubt as to whether they can finally stay in the English Premier League.

Changing performance too quickly is not possible for Manchester City because the players who are playing for their team will be playing for Manchester City for the whole season. Manchester City's season is definitely going to be tougher than other seasons as not all tactics are working with this player.

West Ham defended much better and they played well on the counter and despite Newcastle spending more time on West Ham's goal, it was West Ham who attacked more sharply. Howe seems to be a good manager but they are constantly lacking something, lacking stability, almost constant problem with frequent injuries, I think Newcastle should do what they have been thinking about for a long time and try to change the manager.

This is why the EPL league is always interesting because every week there are always surprises and not a few gamblers lose with surprises like this match. Newcastle, who were favored to win, failed to beat West Ham at home, Newcastle did not even score a single goal, that was very bad. Gaining possession of the ball is also useless if you don't win, West Ham in this match appeared very impressive from defense to effectiveness in taking advantage of existing opportunities.

Newcastle is always overwhelmed when playing against teams below them and always puts great pressure on them when playing against elite teams. Newcastle is inconsistent, they played well today and badly in other matches. Newcastle needs to improve their tactics, maybe the solution is to replace a new coach, because if you look at their performance last season and now the difference is quite far, Newcastle's performance has decreased and there has been no improvement in maintaining its consistency.

I wouldn't say they weren't good at creating chances is converting them that the problem, I feel they had everything in place but they were looking down on the Hammers because they are struggling to even hold the ball for long in other games, Newcastle felt they were the best and no matter the goal difference they can come back equalizer the game and win it, that's it. That's why I said Newcastle are never to be relied on in any competition, performance wise they are miserable to me. I feel they should sell out some players and bring in some fresh legs to change the outcome of the game and to be honest Newcastle is not as bad as we think, is just the players.
