Newcastle are suppose to be the ones leading this encounter but it seems they're never serious until things start getting bad for them. Having all the ball possession in this game but could not show that hunger to get a goal, I wonder why they become very much stronger to beat when it comes to the bigger teams but if they're playing a team that's of the same level with them you'd see them playing rubbish. Since West Ham are leading I can't say they are going to continue with the strength they used in the first half because we know how poor they are in maintaining a lead and Newcastle will come all out to get an equalizer and even win the game but let's see if the visitors can surprise us by defending properly.

Newcastle did dominate the match in terms of ball possession, but they were not good at creating important opportunities. We can see it from the total shots on goal from both teams, Newcastle has 2 while West Ham United has 6. Many people predict that Newcastle will win, because they also benefit from the home side of the match. However they destroyed all expectations, I'm sure there were a lot of failed betting slips.

If he can get the team out of that state I think he will have no problem maintaining those very improvements in the team's stats, so it's too early to say he won't succeed, but I agree that Nistelrooy shouldn't have been sacked, he really knew the team well and at the very least could have pointed out to the new head coach the team's mistakes that should be corrected in the first place
The fact here is that he needs time, he is just arriving at the club, which he knows nothing about, starting from the kind of quality of players at his disposal, the pattern that suits them the most and I believe that it's definitely going to take a whole lot of time for him to realize and knows the strength of his players.
And yes, it's true that rud van nistelrooy should have been retained at the club at least till the end of the season to know if he can lead the team going into the future, but as it is now, the deed has already been done, their is no need of crying over a spilt milk, so all the Manchester united fan should just be patient and get behind Amorin because I believe that he has a whole lot to offer this team, what he definitely needs is time to implement his playing system across to the minds of his Manchester united player, because he is definitely going to deliver more than what Eric ten hang did at Manchester united, am very much certain on that.

Yeah right, Newcastle is disappointing in today's match even though they played well in the last 2 matches and beat Arsenal but today they lost while playing at home. At first I was confident Newcastle will win the game especially when West Ham is not in the best performance and I also put a bet on both teams to score to anticipate conceding but yeah unfortunately Newcastle didn't score a single goal.
The almost balanced level of ball possession has made Newcastle not get a chance to score a goal in the match and their own fans are also very disappointed with this, including the bettors who favored Newcastle as the winner in the match. And I am also a little surprised why Newcastle could not score a single goal in the match even though Newcastle only needed to make the best attacks to be able to penetrate West Ham's defense, but unfortunately that did not happen in the match so Newcastle had to accept defeat in front of their own supporters.

Newcastle team was able to win three consecutive matches against Arsenal, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest. So we were waiting to see Newcastle win in this match. First of all, it was Newcastle's home match. Second, West Ham team was not a very strong team. That is why we assumed that Newcastle would win the match. However, Newcastle lost the match 2-0.

It cannot be said that Newcastle played badly. Newcastle players tried hard to score goals. Newcastle players were able to attack a lot. Newcastle players made a total of 18 shots. But even then, Newcastle could not break West Ham's defense.

However, I will say that West Ham deserves three points in this match. West Ham players were able to break Newcastle's defense. At the same time, they were able to keep their defense strong.

In my opinion. Man United should have kept van Nistelrooy until the end of the season because he knows Man United's strengths and weaknesses better. He also knows why Ten Hag failed this season with Man United, that's why when he became a caretaker coach he got good results.

Ruben Amorim this season will not lift Man United's performance, because he will try players and tactics until the end of the season. Imagine if Man United does not get good results, he will be under great pressure until it is difficult to improve performance. For me this is a big mistake by Man United's management in making decisions.
The decision has been made and although I know that in the end there will be polemics and pros and cons that have occurred ever since Amorim got the position of coach to and van Nistelrooy left Old Trafford but all of that now cannot be changed because after all when the decision has been made there is no reason for the fans to comment further even though we don't really like this but all we have to do now is continue to support the decision that has been made.

van Nistelrooy will not want to return as long as his condition remains the same, on the other hand Amorim has also only played 1 match although the results are not too good when compared to van Nistelrooy's previous performance but the opportunity to Amorim must still be given for now.

There should be at least a few matches or maybe give more opportunities for this season so that Amorim can give his best and if it still fails then replacing van Nistelrooy with Amorim is a disaster.

Everyone must have believed that Newcastle could win the match with all the advantages they had on paper, but West Ham really surprised and they were lucky to win this match with 0 - 2.
Actually this was really unexpected because Newcastle themselves played well but they were unable to score goal even though they managed to create various chances, look at the match statistics and that was enough for them but the result was very bad, this made many people lose their bets.

And yes I am one of those who experienced defeat in the Newcastle vs West Ham match because I bet on Newcastle's victory in this match and it seems that I am not the only one who experienced defeat because if we look at the odds given by the bookies, Newcastle is clearly favored because they are playing at home but who would have thought that they would experience a painful defeat without being able to reply with even 1 goal against their opponent.
Previously, Newcastle could beat Arsenal, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest but they could not beat West Ham, indeed football is full of unexpected surprises.

Very disappointing performance by Newcastle and we should have expected it even before Monday night that these guys only show superior when they see one of the big six and they know many football lovers are expecting them to do well. West Ham has lost everything that made them to be among the teams to watch with their poor form but Newcastle just did a giveaway to make the Hammers find their lost form and I believe West Ham will definitely win their next game.
I find it difficult to believe that this was the same team that ones played the champions league, talking about Newcastle. Ever since they finish that season they became terrible and you can't rely on them to either win a game or even struggle to be in that top 4 that gave them the opportunity to be in the UCL. Newcastle lost that consistency and it has made the team to always be outside the top 6 at the end of the season, they look promising and disappointing at the same time, I wonder the position they'll finish this season and Edward Howe need to strengthen the team by changing their style of play and adding up new legs if not the board might show him the exit door.

It is difficult to understand how the mindset of Man United management is, previously they took too long to make the decision to fire Ten Hag after the team was getting worse, then when Van Nistelrooy started to leave the winning crisis, his abilities were also not utilized for a better future for the club. Although it is too early to judge the ability of Amorim who has just made his debut with Man United, the team still needs a lot of improvement because after they took the lead with a quick goal in the 2nd minute, they actually conceded and had difficulty finding the winning goal. Hopefully after this Man United can achieve victory as many people expect.
I completely agree with your thoughts about Manchester United management. They take long time to make decisions and it is not clear what they are doing. This is shown by how long it took them to fire Ten Hag and how they did not use Van Nistelrooy skills well. They did not give him chance to help team as much as he could. As for Amorim it is really too early to say how good he is at his job but it is clear that team still needs to get a lot better. Their last game is good example of this. They scored goal early in game but then other team scored and Manchester United had trouble finding goal that would give them win. I share your hope that Manchester United will be able to start winning again and achieve victories that their fans are expecting from them.

Ruben Amorim basically still needs to adapt and get to know the competition and his competitors longer than Nistelrooy. Amorim could be better in the next game or maybe worse, but keeping Nistelrooy throughout this season also doesn't guarantee Manchester United will be better. In my opinion, Manchester United needs to improve many things, including morale and cooperation between players both in the dressing room and on the pitch.
If what I read is true, the new coach is already complaining about some of the players, and he will likely continue to have problems with them until he can get players of his choice. If he continues drawing, or even losing games, the fans will begin to doubt him, and worse still is that he is going to start doubting himself and his decision to take on this role as coach of Manchester United. Everton is the next team that Manchester United will play and it will be a home game for the, they have to win, Everton is not easy points for any team.

I'm not sure if he's complaining about his players. What i heard was that he actually urge them to go greet the fans after the game. It's too early to start having problems with players. One thing i said before his appointment was that, as a manager, you need to take charge of your dressing room. And we all know that Eric ten hag failed to do so during his time. I believe this new manager has alot to offer, but we need to give him time. everyone can not be Slot of liverpool.

Ruud would have won Cheesy. The very weird thing is that United needs points now, they are ranked terrible and they need to win some three points very urgently, the more points they lose, the worse they are getting on the standings and while that is true that they have to let go this season, it's still quite early into the season and more than twenty games are available so we could potentially see them do fine if they just focus.

So, Amorim could have just made them play better without pressuring them into playing his system, yes his system is great but train with that first, right now they are blindfolded basically. I am not even joking, I bet that Ruud had 4 games and his averages on those 4 games will be better than Amorims first 4 games. That doesn't mean Ruud is a better manager, maybe he is or maybe he isn't and I wouldn't know. This just means that Amorim is taking the long road, which could make them great one day, or maybe won't, but we know it will take a long time.

Erik Ten Hag couldn't handle his position effectively and he's one of the major reasons why the Red Devils performance are shaky this season. Watching how he had misunderstanding with his players and this is exceptionally unprofessional. Manchester United no longer the standard elite club that's ambitious to win elite trophies, instead they're currently having major setbacks. What's wrong with the team's management? They've failed woefully to exercise patience when it comes to the decision of appointing a manager for the club. Ruud van Nistelrooy fits in when Erik Ten Hag was sacked for incompetency of handling the managerial role of the club, during his short term as temporary coach, his stats was excellent. Meanwhile the new coach, Ruben Amorim is incharge, we gets to see what he's capable of doing for the club.

Manchester United management does not want to keep Ruud van Nistelrooy as head coach because they tend to trust other coaches. Ruben Amorim is more trusted to build the squad and its performance for the rest of the season than Ruud van Nistelrooy, but the results of Amorim's first match cannot fully explain why he is worse than Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Southampton is the red light in the Premier League, but when you go through their results this season and last season as well, they have had some very close encounters not only with lower ranked teams, but also with the strong ones. Man City only won 1-0 against them in the Etihad Stadium, I think that says a lot and when you evaluate the statistics, it is quite impressive what Southampton has done against Man City. Close game against Liverpool, close game against Man City, close game against Newcastle and if you now see where they are standing, it almost feels wrong. It is not that they have a chance to dominate these games, but you would think that they are much less competitive given their point count and goal count.

Smaller teams that are not always in a good position on the standings always give the big teams in the league the toughest time, they always make them feel small in front of them because they hardly win them and if they do, it has to be a very tough one for them to make that happen. Manchester City, Liverpool and Newcastle United are all big teams in the premier league that Southampton can’t come close to in term of quality but looking at their head to head matches, it’s certainly shows how difficult it takes for this teams to win them. They should try and put the same energy they use on big teams on this smaller teams, maybe they may be lucky to win more games and have a better standings position in the premier league.

There is no point in Southampton making it difficult for Manchester City, Liverpool or other teams to win in a match if in the end they still lose. They are clearly fighters, but it's just wins and draws that can get them points and improve their position in the standings. It is not surprising that Southampton ultimately found it difficult to get out of the relegation zone, this is a result of their difficulty in winning points in the last 12 weeks of the Premier League.

So far Southampton have only won 1 of 12 matches, while they also have 1 draw which makes them collect 4 points in 12 matches. So as I said, their efforts to make it difficult for Liverpool, Manchester City and other teams to win are only in vain if in the end they still lose.

This transitional phase often involves trial and error. But it's sure we will see a more refined approach in upcoming matches.
it's even good that he's trying his best. Atleast we can all see the effort he's putting in, unlike the former manager that'd lose 4 - 5 matches in a row ...
I personally have a problem with man united not retaining Ruud van Nistelrooy -- he was able to prove that the team was good and that ten hag was the problem. I never supported the latter play pattern.
In my opinion. Man United should have kept van Nistelrooy until the end of the season because he knows Man United's strengths and weaknesses better. He also knows why Ten Hag failed this season with Man United, that's why when he became a caretaker coach he got good results.
