If in the end the final score is 3-3 then I suspect that this match could have been decided/fixed because it's hard to believe. Anyway, there will be many surprises in a match like this.

The score lines doesn't look disappointing to me for a club that had a come back from 2:0 scoreline to 2:2 within two minutes interval even though it later ended 3:2 in favour of City. Three days from now the EPL will resume and every big side is mostly concerned on moving up the table or holding still their position on the table as a priority. For a team like Liverpool losing a EFL cup match doesn't really count as it would have if it were in the EPL, going by previous game between City and Liverpool in the EPL this season before the world cup break Liverpool has been outstanding against City and I feel lossing out of this game will give Liverpool more time to focus on the EPL and UCL for a better performance.

you are right Tottenham lack enough talented players in their squad. The stronger their squad, the more stable their performance. They failed to maintain consistency due to not having enough talented players in the squad. Tottenham management should now prepare big funds and add the talented players the team needs to the squad. Otherwise, Tottenham's performance will be weaker.

I was looking forward to seeing how the Arsenal and City players would perform after the long break. City's key player Haaland did not play at the World Cup. He has plenty of time to improve his performance. If he is diligent then we will get a good performance from him in the coming matches.

I have been watching whole game liverpool against manchester city. Liverpool was doing so well by scoring two goals but city has been doing better than liverpool by making the third goal from heading. That's why liverpool was not luck enough caused by the defender was wrongly calculate the pass that was really accurate to be headed by city's player. UCL is still very long. EPL will come soon but there will be some changes going to happen just like liverpool that may get new defender gvardiol as its new player.
That will make the defensive line of liverpool become even stronger. Salah has been the best against city. He was making a goal. Liverpool's effort must be appreciated.

Darwin Núñez was absolutely disastrous today, and Manchester City deserved to win. He has missed about three big scoring chances and isn't very good in the center. As a result, Manchester City eliminated the last finalist.

The club football is back, but it hasn't lived up to the hype of the world cup, so I am anticipating their next appearance in the league or in the Champions League.

Watching the highlight of this match i think in the term of the opportunities to scoring goals obviously Manchester City was very dominate and it proven from their statistics was more better than Liverpool and i noticed De Bruyne was performing well in this match because he is the creator of goals for Manchester City and 2 assists from him makes Haaland and Ake can bringing Manchester City to won the match and after this result Manchester City was qualified to quarterfinal but unfortunately for Liverpool as defending champion of this competition their journey have to stopped

Good experiments down there Erik Ten Hag's carrying out with Manchester United, at the start of the season we didn't expect such a quick turnaround though, I had it in my mind that Erik Ten Hag would create the monsters in those young lads, I was happy for once we have a good coach that knows what he's really doing with the club Manchester United.

I don't care how they go about playing Carabao Cup and any other Cup games, whats more mandatory is the Premier League, at the end of the season, I want to see them in the top four.

And bout Marcus Rashford, I don't think Manchester United should be over reliant and expectant from the English lad but I'll love to see him more consistent, it's beautiful to see him smile back while playing his best game.

It was indeed a bad start for the Liverpool team. I wouldn't use the outcome of this to predict their future performance because Manchester City is a quality side. It seems Kevin De Bruyne has set aside the disappointing world cup performance of the Belgian side and is back with his world-class performance. He was instrumental in some of the goals in that match. But Liverpool's defense needs a lot of adjustment and improvement. They are too slow and sloppy and they gave the City strikers much space and chance which led to Halaand and Ake's goals.

The match was an interesting one because both teams showed that they are ready. for the season. Liverpool's next march against Aston Villa would be another test to ascertain Liverpool's preparedness to compete favorably for the premiership.

Liverpool impressed me with their solid performance against manchester city last night even though they ended up on the losing side, but they pull a big fight in the game. Jurgen Klopp needs the necessary supports he could get and definitely he's making good signings in the January transfer window. Most of his players were unavailable for the city clash, one of the reasons behind their defeat. Talking about Darwin Nunez, he's also one top frontline the reds have presently and on the records, he's adapting real quick to liverpool pattern of game.

The defeat to Brentford really surprised me, of course that's because in my opinion Manchester City deserved more to win that match. Manchester City dominated the match but Brentford were very lucky as their winning goal came in injury time 90+8. Even a draw doesn't look very good, but that's how it ends.

But I don't think Manchester City will lose more points in the next match, even now Manchester City has had an impressive performance when they beat Girona in a friendly match and beat Liverpool in the EFL Cup. Haaland and De Bruyne are unstoppable, they are absolutely stunning. Haaland continues to be able to maintain his performance, he has not stopped scoring goals so far he has even managed to score against Liverpool this time. Liverpool lost to Manchester City 3-2 in the EFL Cup, it was a great performance.

A new coach usually brings some positive effects but in long run, after one or two seasons, effects can be nothing. Manchester United experienced it with many coaches from Moyes, Van Gaal, Mourinho too. I hope they will get a different effect from Ten Hag and get out of their crisis in a last 10 years.

If their players can bring their world class performances from World Cup 2022 back to Carington and Premier League, United can complete the season in top four. Topfour is a most important target for them in this season. It is a first brick for them to have an effective summer transfer and a successful season in 2023 - 2024.

I believe the previous coaches never really understood what the club was and whom to buy, but in ETH case he actually spend lot's of time studying the club and then finally agreed to come onboard on his terms. Furthermore you’re right if Manchester United fail to finish in the top 4 then they won’t be able to secure any quality player’s in the summer transfer window, but as a die hard fan I’m confident that they’ll be able to secure an champions league spot for themselves by the end of this season.
