There are still many matches ahead, so Arsenal's chances of rising are still wide open. But for Arsenal to win the title this season, of course they must immediately rise from defeat and not experience defeat again because if not, the chance to win the title will disappear again. Arsenal must be able to learn from last season where to compete with Manchester City, Arsenal must be able to achieve points above 90. I am sure Arsenal will soon forget yesterday's defeat and refocus and try harder to be able to compete with Man City and Liverpool.
So that Arsenal can compete again in the title race, Arsenal must no longer experience defeats which could make them have an even greater difference in points with Man City or Liverpool. And even if Arsenal continues to win throughout the season this season then it will be in vain if Liverpool and Man City also don't experience defeats or don't have many draws. So what Arsenal can do now is just focus more on winning all their matches this season while hoping that Liverpool and Man City make mistakes. However, the defeat by Bournemouth was completely beyond everyone's expectations. The red card received by William Lintasa in the 30th minute really changed everything for Arsenal in that match. And it feels like this team is really always unlucky when it comes to winning the title. Arsenal always almost got the title but in the end they always failed.

Let me draw everyone's attention to this photo. This is a similar situation that I saw yesterday between Arsenal and Bournemouth which Saliba was given a red card. How come against Chelsea it became a yellow card?

It is so hard to believe that there must be an agenda against Arsenal. In all their games the ref is always hard on them. Just like an agreement before time.  Anyway, I cant question England's football because sometimes it is always a mystery in some games. Saliba will be missing their next game against Liverpool.
Officiating in the Premier League this season has been very poor. The number of controversial red cards that’s been given to Arsenal is too much. Ordinarily, Arsenal fans strongly believe there is a conspiracy against them to keep Arsenal from winning the league so when controversial calls are made by the referee that affect the outcome of the game, you can expect Arsenal fans to raise alarm about it.
I watched Arsenal match against Bournemouth it's obvious the referee redcarding Saliba is very controversial infact Ben white was outside the line, if a line was drawn definitely Saliba and Bournemouth striker wouldn't have been the last player thus a yellow card would have been the normal and reasonable booking, Chelsea vs Liverpool match incident is also similar and the referee gave a yellow card, I think English FA should start sanctioning those referees with their inconsistent officiating even with bar there isn't any noticeable improvement in premier league officiating.

Both teams put on an entertaining display as they tried to show who was the best in the match but despite Chelsea's best efforts after they fell behind in the scoreline, they were unable to convert their chances into goals in the end.

Liverpool relaxed their attack a bit and counterattacked more especially in the second half but when it comes to attack effectiveness this is the best when compared to Chelsea who tried to play the rhythm but in the end their attacks had to run aground and the chances were not maximized because Liverpool was quite good at intercepting the ball.

3 points keeps them at the top again and another advantage is Arsenal who did fail to bring 3 points this week a little makes Manchester City and Liverpool comfortable because at least their position will not be displaced in some time.

Manchester City nearly dropped points today, snatching victory late in the match. It will be interesting to see their match against Liverpool, because both teams seem to be determined to win this season and Manchester City have a new rival, last year at the end of the season it was Arsenal, but after today's game I doubt that Arsenal will be able to fight for the championship
Manchster City are still quite troubled by how to channel the ball against Haaland because the balance of their midfield is actually still quite good but losing play makers like Rodri and KDB still has a slightly greater impact on Haaland's ball supply especially seeing the Wolves defense which is very good in this match making them troubled and can only make opportunities from speculative kicks from outside the penalty box without being able to penetrate the Wolves defense which is quite tight.

For the actual competition problem, I think it's still just 3 clubs until the end of the season but it depends on performance and momentum too because when we look at it for now, Manchester City's situation is actually the same as the middle of last season when KDB and Rodri were also unable to play due to injury and usually when they return, Manchester City's appearance becomes difficult to beat even though for this season Rodri may not be able to play until the end of the season because of his ACL.

In one hand Chelsea performance have be extremely good they started this season with powerful performances they don't want what happened for them in previous year's should repeat itself again, that's why they try as much as possible to make an little improvement for their. Because even there yesterday match against Liverpool i was not expect that Chelsea can able to have chance of scoring goal, but indeed with their efforts they make it possible by canceling there zero: they they pattern of their playing this season it will really help them to boost there points; because if we look of their yesterday game Liverpool only leading by goals but Chelsea had more possession and short on targets then Liverpool.
The overall Chelsea performance has improved under Enzo Maresca, the team now have confidence against big teams unlike last two seasons where they are struggling to even win average teams in the Premier League. This season, Chelsea is among the best teams in the Premier League because the manager has done his best to bring in and amend some players in the team.
Their defeat to Liverpool is normal because Liverpool have an already built team that has been doing well for a while and the manager is good and has been doing well in the Premier League so far; there is no doubt, Liverpool will be a title contender this season.

I agree with you. Chelsea is a strong team this season compared to last season. Chelsea were a strong team last season too. But there was no consistency in their performance. The bonding between the players was very weak. This is why we haven't seen Chelsea perform well against any big team in the last season. However, the bonding between the players has become stronger this season. The players are also confident now. So we see good performance from Chelsea players.

Chelsea lost 2-1 in the match against Liverpool. However, in this match Chelsea players performed better than Liverpool players. Although Chelsea's away match, Chelsea tried their best to perform well. They attack a lot and try to score goals. However, Liverpool's defense is very strong this season. This is why Chelsea players cannot score more than one goal.

Liverpool yesterday were able to get all three points against Chelsea despite being the less dominating team in the game and if you ask me, they achieved that win yesterday because of the tactical measures that was put in place by the club manager Arne Slot. I think the Dutch manager have given us enough reason to start considering him as a strong contender for the English Premier League title this season. Do you think he has all it takes to end Pep Guardiola's five years dominance of the English Premier League by the end of the current season or not? I want to read your opinions about Slot's performance with Liverpool so far this season.

Apart from improving their playing performance, Arsenal must always be able to take advantage of Liverpool and Manchester City's mistakes if they want to win the title. The problem is that Liverpool and Manchester City are still quite stable, while Arsenal have dropped a lot of points. The points gap is now clearly visible, Arsenal is 3 points behind Manchester City and 4 points behind Liverpool who are currently at the top of the standings.

Then from that, the pressure increased for Arsenal. Aston Villa and Brighton, who are just below Arsenal, came and threatened Arsenal's position in third place. Aston Villa has the same points as Arsenal, while Brighton has a 2 point gap. If Arsenal lose points in the next match, then I believe Arsenal will lose their position in third place because Brighton and Aston Villa are in good form this season.

Teams don't need to have a stable coach before they can start performing better, Liverpool are competing for the title and their coach is a new one that hasn't coached the team before. When a coach is good, he can make a team to become tittle contenders even in his first season. Chelsea coach is a good coach and he has improved the Chelsea squad but there are still many things to do before the team will become title contenders as Arsenal has become. Chelsea goalkeeper is a big problem for Chelsea as he's one of the reasons why they lost against Liverpool. He was just giving the ball away and coyuld save the second goal from Liverpool.

I don't listen to Pundits like Jamie Carragher but then, concerning the game yesterday, if you're to start criticizing you should kick off from Cole Palmer and Jadon Sancho who completely flopped. You should know that Chelsea do not have a great defending set of players, Cucurella was absent yesterday, and same to Fofana, Recee James was just returning from a long injury, and should be match rusty, why risk him? I won't blame the goalkeeper honestly, he wasn't the cause for any of the goals Liverpool scored yesterday. The defenders didn't do well and Cowill caused that penalty too. Tryin to avoid another penalty stopped him from halting that Jones's goal.
@Oluwa-btc I think you have really made some good points which really interest me about that Liverpool: Chelsea game yesterday. The Chelsea defense wasn't really prepared to  stand against the Liverpool attacking forwards which their loops led to Chelsea keeper cheaply conceiving those goals yesterday. I missed Cucurella in that defense he's one of such defenders with much force against attackers, something I didn't see yesterday. And Cole Palmer and Sancho were really off the radar in the game their presence really wasn't that felt unlike in previous games. I think these boys need to keep their motivation alive because losing such important high class games doesn't really speak well of their improvement in the league.

This is a straight red card no two discussions about this, it wasn’t about Arsenal been getting hard on because the three red cards that Arsenal have had this season are actually justified on the rules the only thing Arsenal needs to start complaining about is the referees actually lacked consistency in their decision making and are very bias towards other teams. Today they should have send out Tosin for the challenge because it was an obvious obstruction of goal, I was even surprised that they didn’t refer the referee to the monitor because it was the duty of VAR to correct that error and call for a red card.

After the Chelsea incident yesterday, I sincerely hope that Arsenal go ahead to appeal the William Saliba’s red card. It is not fair that the Chelsea player does not get sent off for a similar incident. Though I doubt they would change the decision of the ref so the officials doesn’t look bad. They will most likely cite distance to goal as the reason for the card.

Chelsea is in its game this season even though it lost to Liverpool with a score of 2-1 even though this defeat was a narrow defeat, but it was much more enough to close this match with a focus on the next match because Liverpool is still above Chelsea for this season and still needs time for Chelsea to be truly equal to Liverpool and Man City's game, even though Chelsea had to be displaced from its position at least they can restore their position in the next match, at least improve the game which I think is still lacking in defense and the opportunities achieved by Chelsea this season so that the opportunities obtained are not wasted later. the target of the next match is to get full points so that Chelsea's position is getting better and at least in the top 4 of the Premier League standings.

It's sad to want to throw blames at the referee when it was at some point clear the gunners where in a very vulnerable state, they weren't just the best in that game, they even got defensive at some point yet they weren't able to contain their opponent, like you have stated correctly, a goal would have been considered to be some mistakes but two goals was an obvious indication the Gunner weren't having a chance in all of that. Well there's still some time to conclude if Arsenal will be able to literally emerge from the shadows of city, mind you Liverpool is there to also stand in s another big challenge to surmount hence so much work and time has to be put in place for the best results.

This season we have just played 8 matches. There are still many matches that have not been completed. Arsenal does not have the same performance as last season. But currently the points difference is still quite small. There is still a chance for Arsenal to compete with Man City and Liverpool. But it all depends on how much effort Arsenal makes to improve their performance. If they do it slowly enough, of course the points difference with other teams will be even greater. It is even likely that the teams that are currently below them will start to shift Arsenal in the standings.

Arsenal did lost that match and there was no one to be blamed about the loss. They tried their best but could not contain Bournemouth in that match. They may want to blame the referee for the red card but it was a duly deserved red card for them. They could have avoided that in the match, but it was too late as it has already happened. Getting the red card in the early minutes of the game before the halftime is something that actually affected their overall performance. Bournemouth saw the advantage and they quickly made good use of it to get their three points. Arsenal have seen where their loopholes are, they should adjust before their next match as they continue to fight for the league title with other top teams in the league.

If this should happen to Arsenal so early at this point in the league, I think they will have to be dropped amongst team that has the best chances of making it to the top of the table by end of the season. Even their coach was not too bothered about the lose because to him they’re use to winning than losing, so that result will not in anyway affect their performance in the league. They should just learn from this defeat and not get more defeats going forward because those are the most likely things they should avoid at all cost now if they want to remain as favourites for the premier league title.

Congratulations, Liverpool won but it was a bit strange. I saw the stats even Chelsea had better possession. Chelsea had more passes and were more accurate. This condition is quite good, meaning that Chelsea performed well even though they didn't win they were just ineffective.
Chelsea performance wasn’t so bad in the game, it was just unfortunate for them that they couldn’t get a win or a draw in the game. The Chelsea defense is just so weak, which is one of the problems they are facing this season. I just hope Enzo Maresca will be able to sign some players that will be able to improve the defense when the transfer window is open. Chelsea concedes goals so much, and it’s not always easy for them to score back since they don’t have a consistent striker. Jackson is not always consistent, he misses chances a lot, which is really affecting them.

While the other problem is Ten Hag, the victory Man United over Brentford slightly postponed the issue of dissatisfaction with him. But it seems that this is only temporary. There will still be many difficult matches, if Man United get another bad result I think many supporters will tell Ten Hag to leave.
Manchester United won their last match against Brentford, which reduces the pressure on Ten Hag to be sacked, but I don’t still see any improvement in Manchester United performance, if Ten Hag doesn’t perform well in coming matches, then people will still request for his sack, so he is still having difficult tasks ahead.

Neither Liverpool nor Chelsea can be considered lucky in this game as both team had a really good play to the point i can say for a fact it was a very balanced game and such that can not be said one side played better and the winner was lucky, they did had good attempts and dominance at different points which made it  good reason enough for them to have almost equal chances, i even find it difficult to fault any position in that game as every was fully functional and productive, it was a good competition and exercise if strength as expected of both teams been of good caliber and interestingly Liverpool still tops the table.

The match could even end in a draw if we count normal goals. But Liverpool got 1 penalty kick which put them ahead. Cole Palmer had quite limited space in this match because he was always being guarded by Liverpool players. So the shooting accuracy of this young player is not very accurate. So some of the shots he fired always went off target. But I still appreciate all of Chelsea's performance in that match. There is no doubt that Liverpool is a club that has quality and deserves to be at the top at this time. But Chelsea seems to be no less good this season. So I think Chelsea will really be able to get UCL tickets in the end. Even though currently Chelsea has fallen to 6th place, I am sure that Chelsea will return to the top 4 again, whether in the middle of the season or at the end of the season. In essence, I see this team will really be a consistent team this season.

Chelsea were clearly good at defending and not letting Liverpool score more than 2 goals. I mean 2-1 is still very reasonable and common but not for 7-0 hmmmmmm Cheesy you know that score is very embarrassing and unforgettable. Back to the performance of both teams the result that brought Liverpool to the top of the standings by forcing Man City to go down. If you pay attention Cole Palmer's role is quite minimal in this match, he really gets special guard from Liverpool players. Because Palmer if given too much space will be very troublesome.

Chelsea had more possession of the ball, more shots and more corners but still they lost the game by 2 goals to 1. Liverpool got the top position and Manchester City is on the number 2 spot. Nicolas Jackson leveled the score in the 48 minutes but soon after Curtis Jones got the lead again in the 51 minute and this was the decisive goal.
Liverpool have lost only one match while Chelsea have lost four matches, out of the 8 played so far by both these teams.

Every week, the only thing that Man United fans discuss is when Ten Hag will get fired, and not if he will get fired. Grin
IMO, you can't be Man United and celebrate a win against Brentford (no offense to Brentford supporters) in your home ground like you win the title. The team lacks chemistry, leadership, and a clear plan/ strategy. For everything, the biggest share of responsibility lies with Ten Hag. He is the manager, he has to be the captain, and he signs the players. Unless he didn't make these choices and somebody else is the real "captain." Undecided

100%! I am irritated and surprised by people who, after a rare victory for United over an outsider (and a very difficult and unconvincing one at that), start writing that things are getting better. It's just ridiculous. United are still 11th (may drop to 12th today) with a negative goal difference and a terrible performance. For me the only news in each round is really whether Ten Hag has been sacked or not.

I didn't watch the match and don't know the case that happened in the match, whether maybe the referee was unfair in officiating the match or something else. Because anyway, I only saw that Arsenal played with only 10 players since the first half and thus, it was certainly difficult for Arsenal to beat Bournemouth. But in the statistical record, at least even though Arsenal played with only 10 players since the 30th minute, but Arsenal also still had high ball possession but unfortunately, Arsenal were unable to make good goal attempts so it was difficult for Arsenal to make goals in the away game.

Unfortunately, in the next match Arsenal will play against Liverpool but at least, Arsenal will play at home and Arsenal should still be able to play well at least for a draw. Because after all, Liverpool may also be under pressure because they get a busy schedule with difficult opponents too. Therefore, Arsenal must be able to maximize this moment at least not to lose against Liverpool later, or maybe Arsenal will manage to beat Liverpool and if that happens, it will certainly be good for their position too.

The same thing that am reasoning, In the game they didn’t gave Cole Palmer even a small chance, if not it wouldn’t have end up in 2-1. We all know that Chelsea are trying their best this season. Moreover many didn’t think they Chelsea will so tough for Liverpool as they did yesterday, but they surprised them. I will say it one more that Chelsea really tried and it was a good performance from them.
