We have seen Chelsea's performances in the last few matches. Chelsea's overall performance this season is quite strong and organized compared to previous seasons. Consistently this team is able to perform well. Despite losing against Liverpool in the last match, Chelsea's performance satisfied me. If Chelsea can continue this performance, then Chelsea have a great chance of qualifying for the Champions League.

Chelsea are not playing in the Champions League or Europa League this season. For this reason their main aim is to perform well in the Premier League. The Chelsea coach is getting plenty of time to identify and fix his squad's problems. Perhaps this is why Chelsea are able to play well this season.

What is clear is that Arteta is still trying to get win in this match, I think they are indeed underestimating Bournemouth and indeed this condition is also mistake that has happened many times.
Moreover, in terms of experience, it is very different if we compare Arteta with Pep, and clearly the performance of both of them in making decisions at all times for the team they lead is very different, Pep can make the right decision and consider many things for certain conditions but Arteta still maintains his goal of winning without reading the situation that is happening whether it is profitable or not.

Haha some mistakes are made more often, they do whatever they can to minimize conceding goals but they cannot consider the risks, this will be bad game for Arsenal if it continues.

The point that have been collected by Chelsea are only three points away from maintaining the potential to move up to the top three, but this will not be easy because Arsenal, Aston Villa and Brighton will also guard the opportunity well so as not to be shifted in that position.
Chelsea have also shown a good game in the match even though they had to lose because Liverpool played much better than them.

There is still plenty of time to make changes and Chelsea just need to show consistency so that they can continue to compete in the top three.
There have been many changes made by the coach and maybe slowly they will find their best form.

With their pretty good game against Liverpool, I think they can still develop their performance to be better in the future, with them who I think are good at facing Liverpool, it proves that they have good performance because in yesterday's match they were able to match the team that is in the top ranking, it's just that maybe they were unlucky because with the second goal scored by Liverpool, maybe they wanted to trap the Liverpool forward but unexpectedly the one who picked up the pass was another player who was behind this beyond their expectations.
With the opportunities they have such as Cole Palmer who had a chance in the final minutes of the first half, unfortunately his shot was still above the Liverpool goalkeeper's goal, maybe if that had been a goal then the final result would have been a draw because their performance was also quite good by being able to match Liverpool's game. I think they still have a chance to improve their performance again.
Also with their ranking which is not far from the top four, maybe they can still overtake the team above them because their points are not much different so there is a chance for them to be able to overtake them, but for the top ranking it is quite difficult.

Chelsea are improving and currently they are not far from top four that is their more realistic target in this season. Rather than trying to join a title competition that seems to be exceeding their capability now, focusing on top four will be better for Chelsea.

The rises of clubs like Aston Villa, Brighton and Newcastle United recent seasons, will make a race to top four more exciting and it won't be easy for Chelsea to join it too. If their coach is Pochettino, I will have more belief that Chelsea will complete this season in top four but with Maresca, a less experienced coach, I see bigger risk for Chelsea to fail in achieving this target.

Maresca is doing good job so far but it will only make sense if at the season ending, Chelsea appears in top four of Premier League.

Chelsea is not far behind the top four, namely Aston Villa, meaning Chelsea still has plenty of time to put themselves back in that position as long as they can win very consistently in the upcoming matches. The defeat at Liverpool's home ground was a bit painful for Chelsea, but I am still quite sure that Chelsea still has the ability to bounce back in the upcoming matches because so far Chelsea has made so many changes to their team this season.

At least they were able to prove this in the game against Liverpool, but they are still lacking some extra class. I didn't think that Chelsea would have more ball possession and their passing accuracy was significantly higher than that of Liverpool. But the point is that Liverpool is in good shape and they don't need too many chances while Chelsea has problems to create chances in the last third. They are doing much better this season in first and second third of the field, but then there is this last third where they run into problems despite having some great players as wing players, strikers and then guys like Palmer. Yet it is not enough and I don't think they have a chance to win the title yet. But I agree that some progress has been made.

Atleast heartening to see Chelsea demonstrate much needed signs of progress, and potentially, the ability to play even better against Liverpool. Considering their displays in the recent games, there is actually hope for better outcome. However, the test that is involved in playing against Liverpool is always difficult, much more with a dismal record in the last five fixtures. However, they have a more balanced playing pattern when under this new coach and this is where the hope that Chelsea can unlock this stalemate will come in if they are able to apply this momentum when they travel to Stamford Bridge for the second leg.

However, it should be pointed out that Chelsea had problems securing full dominance even when most of the objectively measurable factors were on their side, for instance, they were more accurate in their passing. Liverpool in turn was very aggressive in counter attacking every blind spot that emerged during the course of the match as evidenced by the extra goal scored in the second half of the match. Even slight improvements in passing accuracy and decision making could be the world for Chelsea. If they could build on it and reduce their poor short pass accuracy and avoid mistakes at the mid and back formations they should be able to compete better and even flip the script come the next tie.

If they are stronger this season, they should be in a better position this season. They finished the last season in 6th place, their current position is in 6th place. I see there is no different with the last season. How you can claim Chelsea stronger this season?    Agree, Chelsea still can't perform consistently and they have bad teamwork. I think it is because Chelsea just rebuild their squad with a lot of new players.

If the bonding between players is good, they should have no problem with their teamwork.
I don't think Chelsea performance is good enough. They failed to win in the last 2 matches. This isn't a sign that Chelsea players are confident with their performance nowadays.

If Chelsea players played better, they must win the match. In fact, they were defeated although it was with a narrow score. I don't want to say they were unlucky, there is no excuse for a lose. Sure, Chelsea dominated the match but Liverpool could play a more effective.

I can't say much about this Palace team, fine they're not even doing well and no sign that they're improving in anyway. Many have already concluded that these guys (Crystal Palace) are seriously going down the table to discover relegation zone which I believe when the times comes they're going to escape it, to me Crystal Palace is like a trap to the teams on the top 4 to cause a huge upset when we're getting towards the end of the season. Now isn't the time for them to start fighting to leave the position they're in but we shouldn't say they can't improve, let's wait for them to get a comfortable win then we're going to see how good they are going to be in the future.
As for the game tonight I saw a brighter Nottingham Forest team making the Palace team look small, even if the game ended 1nil I think the host have everything going well for them but some of the chances wasn't converted but this game shouldn't be a game to say Nottingham are doing well, we should wait and see how well they're going to handle the next game.

I really settled down to watch Nottingham Forest versus Crystal Palace match this evening and with how the players of Crystal Palace played am afraid they may not improve anytime soon and may face being relegated this season if time is not taken. The players didn't show any enthusiasm at all, no force, no team work like they were just losing ball and possession to Nottingham Forest very easily and gave them the opportunity to attack more which makes them play counter attack and puts pressure in the defense of Crystal Palace. With what i saw in the players of Nottingham Forest this night they are likely to end up in a comfortable position this season as they have now moved from the 12th position to 8th position. I do feel for Oliver Glasner because his team are in their worst state now and it's just very bad that the efforts of the coach will not be noticed due to the poor performance of his team and when a team starts performing badly, it's always the coach that bears the brunt.

Overall Chelsea does increase the game but as we know Liverpool have everything they need like high confidence as a home team and also 3 consecutive wins, the situation might be different if Chelsea play at home I'm not saying Chelsea must win but at least a draw is not impossible. I hope Chelsea can catch up by winning a few matches yeah at least they can compete in the top 4  replacing Aston Villa.

Regarding Liverpool they still have challenges ahead against Arsenal at the end of the month well, we don't know whether Liverpool are able to win the match while playing as away team. At the same time they will also play in the Champions League, meaning they need concentration to secure important matches. One point is not a safe position when Manchester City also tries to take over.

Seriously Chelsea have been having a very bad time against Liverpool of recent just like you said since the last few  years when Tuchel was around here, if you look it is understandable because Chelsea since the departure of Tuchel having better their league position, this season I was actually expecting a fight by Chelsea and seriously they were actually ok but needed to add more to win against a team like Liverpool,

Chelsea were having few shots on target against Liverpool and seriously it is understandable because Liverpool is always that club that doesn’t want to give away the ball this days and even when they give it away they easily win possession back, the only way Chelsea was to open up Liverpool was through counter using the wingers but Sancho who was supposed to be their outlet was poor and couldn’t get pass Arnold and that was why they didn’t dominate the game much like they should have done. This game actually showed the fear of most fans as it was clear in the game that Chelsea rely heavily on their star player who was not that great against Liverpool

 Nottingham Forest played hosts to Crystal palace and once again Oliver Glasner's men go home without a point. They've been winless in 8 games and currently occupy the 18th position and I'm very sure this wasn't how Oliver planned to start the season.
 I don't know what to think is the cause of their very poor performance this season but if they want to remain in the premier league, they'd need to up their game and start getting results because going 8 games without a win is very poor for a club like them and even though they're not the best of clubs, this is below expectations of what their fans needs.

Everyone has seen that there is improvement in Chelsea's performance, they have been playing well this season even as they lost some matches, but we all can see that their performance is better. Chelsea's performance was so poor at the beginning of last season, their performance got better towards the end of the season, and the management decided to sack the coach, but with their new coach, at least we're already seeing improvement in the team.
 
Chelsea performance is not bad, but we can still see that some positions are still weak in the squad. Seriously, Chelsea's defense is weak. That’s why they are always conceding goals in most of their matches, even if they will win a match, their opponents are always scoring, so Enzo should work on that, because I will still blame their defenders for the goals scored by Liverpool in their last match.

Chelsea has improved and I like it but Enzo Maresca will have more hail for hardwork if they win Liverpool, I mean their last 5 games, they haven't been able to win Liverpool and it's not like they are not having mistakes they can use as opportunity. It was only Tuchel that has draw them more but the recent managers has lose more matches they have play after him and it's time they make it draw again or win them, more importantly in the second leg if they come to Stamford Bridge

I'm not really sure if Chelsea were in good place than Liverpool but they really did consume Chelsea players more than Chelsea consumes the Liverpool players but their pass accuracy was very interesting, if only their shorts on target was much, there wasn't really pressure coming from them the complete second half and that's why Liverpool was able to add that extra goal they scored against Chelsea.

The case of ten hag is becoming tiring to the management and most especially the fans because Manchester United are not making any progress, and Manchester United need another coach thay will bring the club in good shape ten is also tired of managing the club so their is nothing else thay can be done, he as used all the strategies he know how to use, and non is working. The fans are always bashing ten for failing them and am sure by now that even ten does not to manage United again because of how he as been getting a lot of bash from people. The coach plays the main role when it comes to football because they have to act according to his instructions, so it is Clear that ten's instructions is not helping matters because if is management is okay then it will show in their performance. I don't think any amount of win will make the fans happy because they know it won't be for long so they will prefer to have a fresh start with a new coach that's all they want in this period, everyone is already tired with ten.

I am not all that positive either and I think Pochettino is an average coach at best. He has been a coach now for 15 years and the only titles he won was in Ligue 1 with PSG, which in my opinion is only average as well. It's not a big deal to win the Ligue 1 title or the Cups with the team he had.

Now is he better or worse than Maresca? I have no clue. And for those who claim that Chelsea has improved by so much: Chelsea has 3 points more after 8 games than last season and this is actually the problem in my opinion. Today Chelsea is 3 points ahead of 12th rank and they win half of their games, which doesn't get you very far. While they did have a few games now that looked quite well, I disagree with many others here that this is a new Chelsea yet.

Liverpool on the other hand is doing an amazing job. They get the results and they concede hardly any goals. They could be a bit more effective in their offensive game, but other than that sensational loss at home against Nottingham, they have shown hardly any weaknesses.

There are many games ahead to be played and several international breaks, even a transfer window to get some players in but, all that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be taking chances today. Having to hope on tomorrow that has a lot of uncertainties could prove dangerous. They really ought to be taking advantage of the chances they have now. Worst still, they would be loosing several places to injury and Saliba of recent to a red card which might put them in far worst condition for their games to come.

They’ve lost 3 points this weekend and Manchester City have managed to gain 3 points, that’s winning for City and it brings them closer to defending there title once again which doesn’t mean much to them anymore.

Let’s be honest, this is a less than exciting prospect. I can’t think of many more unattractive fixtures in the PL but yes, I am watching it

12 minutes played and it’s 0-0. I think Notts Forest will win this even though Palace probably have a few more exciting players.
