Arsenal and Tottenham have still more chance than Manchester United and West Ham for the fourth spot in the standings now. Because Arsenal have three missing matches and Tottenham have two. And the point gap with Manchester United - West Ham duo is really small. When they play all of their missing matches, they can get ahead of that duo and we can watch a bigger competition between Arsenal and Tottenham maybe. But it is still hard to be sure about something. Because none of these teams are very consistent these days.
I'm pretty sure about one thing that there is no way Manchester United are pulling away from the other teams by holding the fourth place in the standings. Because they still make very simple mistakes and lose points against teams that are not too hard to beat. Watford were among them but it ended in a goalless draw. Manchester United had so many dangerous attacks in fact but all of them ended sadly for them. They have many capable players as for scoring but they still can have this kind of problems now. This must be really annoying.
I am also surprised by the Man United players who have very good goal-scoring qualities, but couldn't score a single goal against a weak team like
Watford. If we look at the statistics of the match where Man United controlled the ball up to 68% and managed to take a kick up to 22 times.
This proves the Man United players did not work hard when facing Watford, Man United players should show their motivation to be able to win
the game, considering that Man United need a lot of points to fight for 4th place. But they threw away the opportunity when they faced Watford,
and that's a very disappointing thing especially for his supporters. If we look at Man United's performance against Watford, I am increasingly pessimistic
that they will be able to compete for the 4th position. Looks like Man United have to prepare not to play in the Champions League next season,
if they don't improve their form soon in the remaining games of the season.
You said it all, maybe Manchester United play didn't take the game serious. Manchester United Is so big to have struggled to score Watford and in all they still didn't score any goal.any game that Manchester United takes serious you would know by there performance , that of yesterday not taking very serious at all that's is why it ended like. The only luck Manchester United had is that Watford did score goals.

Manchester City win against Everton is very much needed for them and proved that they have the champion's mentality in that team DNA. One of such is the ability to win dirty. Scraping a win even in a seemingly difficult circumstance. It is true that Manchester City this season don't have a prolific or top striker but somehow they have been able to pull through and string wins together and that is what champions do.

Man Utd has played 27x and got 47 points, West Ham played 27x and got 45 points while Arsenal has played 24x and got 45 points
4th position has been locked by arsenal, as long as in all the matches ahead they can win and without losing. the arsenal players must show good spirit and also a strong determination to enter the 4th rank
Well penalties on after 0-0 draw between Chelsea and Liverpool although I am still waiting to see more analysis about the VAR decision to rule out Lukaku's goal on extra time.

I thought Chelsea have won that with that Lukaku goal. It would have been good for him too but unfortunately it was ruled out. That been said, many expected Chelsea to even win at penalty too following their recent antecedent. They had a penalty hero who was acclaimed a penalty expert. Then again, there's Jorginho who is undoubtedly one of the best penalty taker in the world. Although, we all would agree that penalties are always 50-50 chances and anyone could miss it but Kepa, it was expected. Penalties 5-5 and still counting, waiting to see the winner

Manchester United at 47 point is not well standing and I see Arsenal having a better chance to enter this spot because of more matches to play. Westham may not have that because they have already played 27 matches with Manchester United.
The God of soccer was with Liverpool and congratulations to Liverpool as a club and their fans, the match was a tough one throughout the full time both clubs could not score any goal until the penalty shootout where Chelsea keeper failed to convert any shoot, well the league ended in an unexpected way I never expect a penalty in the match.
Yes you are right , no body expected it and the win is worth celebrating. It would have been very hard for Liverpool to win if not for the penalty, Liverpool used their chance very well by not missing the penalty. Chelsea was tough to Liverpool and didn't give any spcae to score ,Liverpool were happy to score a goal through penalty.

I watched the first half of the match which was really boring. Until the goal from West Ham broke the silence it was thought that there would be no goals, but West Ham could at least provide resistance for just 1 point until the second half just finished. Less interesting, but on the other hand, finally West Ham went straight up to 5th place in the standings bypassing 2 steps, namely Tottenham and Arsenal.
West Ham maintains the winning versus wolves, which is have good capital to fight Liverpool in the next week, but after I look at 1st half I still think they will not get for winning because still have a weak line that can be easy for Liverpool to go deeper into defense. especially when we look at the match before, Liverpool creates 6 goals without a reply where Salah and Mane give each 2 goals.
West Ham managed to get a win, and they are trying to at least maintain their current position in 5th place in the standings. But Arsenal continued to follow with the acquisition of the same points, which is 45. But Arsenal really benefited from their remaining matches, which was 3 matches. If they are able to maximize all three, 9 points are already in hand, that means they can shift West Ham and also Manchester United.
Cristiano Ronaldo need to help his friend team how can keep help on defensive area.
Ronaldo keeps the defensive area? How can bro? He is a central forward, he is better to stay in the attacking line. Those young players must be ordered to help the defensive line. Ronaldo is better to focus on scoring and delivering assists to other strikers. It will be too tired if he is ordered to help the defensive line as well.I will agree if Ronaldo plays as a second striker and Ralf Rangnick looks for players to be placed as spearheads. Because several times I saw that the Manchester United midfielder couldn't pass the ball forward and that was one of the things that made Manchester United's attack ineffective.
The Carabao Cup was one of its kind after a tough struggle between Chelsea and Liverpool which ended in a goal less draw and resulted to a 10-11 penalty shoot out giving Liverpool a well deserved win. Liverpool made the game an interesting one afterall. No one will deny Liverpool deserve what the got they play for a straight win but luckily the won through penalty shoot out
Kudos to Chelsea they make the game very interesting because I expect Liverpool to have won by full time to carry the game to extra time was not easy for Chelsea because Liverpool is in such a fan, for me the man of the match before the penalties was Mendy, the Chelsea keeper was the one who kept his team in the game.

I think Ralf needs to talk to his players because they are playing away from teamwork, no body wants to give a killer pass anymore for another player to score which is very bad. So many wasted opportunities today that's not how it ought to be especially when your fighting to be in the top 4 in your league. Man United not getting all 3points against Watford is a clear indication that the team is not fully equipped to play the champions league next season.

I think Ralf needs to talk to his players because they are playing away from teamwork, no body wants to give a killer pass anymore for another player to score which is very bad. So many wasted opportunities today that's not how it ought to be especially when your fighting to be in the top 4 in your league. Man United not getting all 3points against Watford is a clear indication that the team is not fully equipped to play the champions league next season.
Manchester United are going to struggle in the remaining time of the season a lot as it seems. They gave everyone hope after winning two weeks in a row in the Premier League. But all that effort was in vain in the Watford game. They took control of the game and found so many goal opportunities. But they wasted all of those opportunities very generously too. What a poor result from them! I didn't like especially Fernandes' performance. His being selfish hindered his team from scoring an easy goal.
The winning mentality has gone too far away from manchester united in the post-sir alex ferguson era , not sure if a new coach like conte or a new world class player like haaland could really make a change in manchester united .. it's like about how the internal team must changed , i believe in cristiano fighting spirit.. If only each of manchester united player act like what cristiano did to give 200% for the club in and off the field , they would achieve a lot of things.

Not just Manchester united but every team within the top and bottom of the table. What I can almost say for sure is that, Manchester United just gave Arsenal a ticket straight to the UCL come next season because, there is no way, Arsenal won't be getting a win out of there postponed or remaining games. While, Liverpool still looks upto Manchester City for an opening so, they could take over the EPL. With the Carabao Cup won, they've got more momentum to go for the EPL title. Can't say, it was well deserved, the game was tensed for sure but both teams did there best, it was just a goalkeeping test on whose best. Jump to:
