Well, you can't blame anyone and especially goalkeepers for missing a penalty. Everyone is under huge pressure and after 11 rounds things get worse..

Yeah that's for sure. I also understand that but you know some guys or trolls never stop it... They always mock whatever chance they get. Still I would say well played Chelsea and Liverpool. We don't see such an entertaining and thrilling cup final that often..
I think is true never blame what missing penalty kick by Goal keeper because he was made clean sheet until extra time but not looks lucky as the last penalty kick. I think Kepa Arrizabalaga not have any option after 10 Chelsea player and he has been the last player should take penalty kick, but not lucky after his penalty trough away from Liverpool goal keeper and give trophy for Liverpool in this time, I think was be most disappointed for Kepa Arrizabalaga because he last penalty kick and I think have burden as the last penalty taker.

United losing makes them be at 6th place after the all games are played (technically speaking). Meaning, Arsenal has 24 games, so that is 3 games missing and if they win all of that (unlikely) that would make them 51 points and they would be 4 points ahead of United, even if they lose one of those games they would still be ahead. Look at Spurs, they have 2 games missing and if they win both of them then they would be 48 points and ahead of United as well.

I am not saying that these teams will end up winning these games but I am 100% certain that the situation would be a lot more closer and United would be a lot more uncomfortable about the whole thing when they see teams around them. They should have win the Watford game for sure.

Great job Liverpool I am really happy about the scoreline what a tragedy for Chelsea I think the coach is to be blamed, you take away mendy only to replace him with kepa, then kepa couldn't save a single penalty although Liverpool's keeper couldn't save alot of penalties him self but what's annoying is that Kepa was the one who missed his penalty I don't want to be hard on him but I think Mendy would have done better than Kepa here, at least you would not play that much penalty without Mendy Saving any one of them.
It was a really competitive game any team deserved to win but liverpool managed to get the trophy thanks to the manager mistakes he shouldn't have replaced a goal keeper who was doing good all game long with a new one in such a crucial moment and they payed the price since he was the one who missed the penalty.

Well penalties on after 0-0 draw between Chelsea and Liverpool although I am still waiting to see more analysis about the VAR decision to rule out Lukaku's goal on extra time.
Penalties 5-5 and still counting, waiting to see the winner Grin

Edit: 9-9, oh boy this gonna never end!
Crazy game and pretty crazy penalties in my opinion until 11 players kicked everything and this will definitely be a disappointment for Kepa because he was the last executioner to miss.
But on the other hand I enjoyed the result of this match and it was a very good match although there were disappointments but this is a game there are winners and losers.
Well congrats to Liverpool on their title
Yeah that was crazy! and congratulations to Liverpool after 11 rounds of penalties lol

There we go .. Liverpool is our EFL Cup winner and I am sure lot of memes will be posted mocking decision of subbing in Kepa in place of Mendy. He was close to saving some of the penalties but when it was his time to kick one , he flied it very very wide. I am so interested in listening to what would Tuchel say about subbing in Kepa in place of Mendy.

For a game that was goalless for a long time, these guys were/are really taking some great penalties.... Or is it that the goal keepers weren't ready for this and kept diving were ever they could to show for effort.

But these are some great penalties... Who is going to crack first??

Anyway am still saying Liverpool should win this one though this is now a 50/50 chance for all.

Was the change of goal keepers necessary for Chelsea?? I really don't think so, Mendy got the team this far with a clean sheet and did not get a goal passed him for over 115 minutes and you deny him to go all the way....besides isnt Mendy the guy that helped Senegal (hope am right) win the Africa Cup.. Anyway coach knows better.

Am still with the reds on this one.

Penalties time in the EFL Cup .
Like you said the gaffer is in charge but if am to say something there is no need to do away with Mendy, is it a fantastic goal stopper and has also proven himself to be good In penalties. And also he is more pumped up than any other Chelsea keeper so keeping him on there would have been an advantage for Chelsea. I doubt if they would win this. But i am keeping my fingers crossed.

They control almost all lines and I think the ball possession is at 60% now but still not a single goal has been scored.
The inclusion of Sancho and Rashford still can't change anything.
I hope MU can win this match with one goal, actually it's enough, apart from this it's good enough for their position later, it's also enough to win the bet I did.
It is quite disappointing that the match is gradually ending in goaless draw. I least expected this result. The introduction of Sancho and Rashford has  effect on the game. Especially Sancho is making good efforts. Just few minutes to end the match.
There is no hope that Manchester United will do well in Champions league if they cannot win this match.

Edit: Manchester United 0:0 Watford full time.
The results that were quite disappointing were shown by MU and indeed I am quite frustrated with the results they received because this was not in accordance with my expectations.
I lost this bet because I saw from their previous results it was quite good but I lost and my expectations for MU were too high.
Currently their position is still not safe because there are indeed a lot of teams under them that have the potential to occupy the rank that MU has now

EFL Cup  - Final

Chelsea and Liverpool are now playing in the final of the EFL Cup. I am enjoying a competitive match. The goal of both teams is the title. And both teams are strong. Neither team scored in the 90th minute. But they are trying to score. Liverpool have attacked more than Chelsea today. They have made a total of 15 shots, while Chelsea have made only 9 shots. Chelsea played somewhat defensively in the second half. They made no attempt to attack in the second half. Let's see who gets the EFL Cup title.
With the extra time on, things are getting more intense but I believe Lukaku's goal was legit and not offside. Even VAR ruled out the goal but I see Liverpool defender's feet way in front of Lukaku's one, the picture is clear with the lines in the field helping everyone to see this. Dunno what's going on!

Both teams played in 105 minutes and no one has been able to score a goal yet. Both sides are attacking. But the defenders have been able to fulfill their responsibilities properly. I was impressed by the performances of SIlva in the Chelsea's team and Liverpool's Arnold. If neither team can score in extra time then maybe Liverpool will win. I think Liverpool are more likely to win in the penalty shootout.

I think this math was easily predictable with 2.5 under goals. Both teams have a nice defense line and were trying to keep it dry. but look at the statistics, both teams have a nice moments, but Liverpool is more aggressive-we may see one goal from Chelsea on counterattacks.
The first extra time is now almost over and so far there has been no sign of slackening in the form of these two teams.
I'm confused about where to choose but indeed if you look at the game I really like Liverpool's game now even though Mendy's performance at chelsea is really impressive in my opinion.
The game was quite high in tension and I still hope Liverpool can win without a penalty there

Wolves appears to be very strong in the game, they dominate the game by having more ball possession than Westham, but Westham have created more chances than wolves. This match might ended draw, because none of them want to loose or drop point because both of them have hope for top 4.
Wolves had possession of the ball but this match was quite time consuming as well, Westham performed quite well but could not take advantage of the existing opportunities. Meanwhile, Westham statistical odds update is bigger than Wolves at the moment, when I write Westham has made 1 goal.
I watched the first half of the match which was really boring. Until the goal from West Ham broke the silence it was thought that there would be no goals, but West Ham could at least provide resistance for just 1 point until the second half just finished. Less interesting, but on the other hand, finally West Ham went straight up to 5th place in the standings bypassing 2 steps, namely Tottenham and Arsenal.

I thought the match will end with draws too. Because the both team where playing in the same energy until West Ham scored their first goal,  the game was kind of lively. Before the match started I already predicted that the game will end up with draws, West Ham gave a surprising goal.

Manchester City had a really lucky day actually despite dominating their game against Everton yesterday. Because they had a big problem on scoring the winning goal. Thanks to a big mistake by Everton defense, Foden scored a comfortable goal. Everton defended them really well until that point but were devastated after this cheesy goal. Manchester City must be relieved for now as the gap is six points again temporarily. Liverpool don't have any game this week so they will have another missing game to play. But I'm pretty sure that they will continue to compete with Manchester City for the title to the end.
The victory that Manchester City got against Everton further widened the distance from the leader of the standings with Liverpool, in that match Manchester City looked a little difficult to find a gap to break down the defense that the Everton team built very neatly even though statistically Manchester City dominated the match.
But when entering the 82nd minute Everton players made a mistake and Phil Foden took advantage of the momentum well and managed to score 1 goal, as a result of the defeat Everton are now closer to the relegation zone.
