The God of soccer was with Liverpool and congratulations to Liverpool as a club and their fans, the match was a tough one throughout the full time both clubs could not score any goal until the penalty shootout where Chelsea keeper failed to convert any shoot, well the league ended in an unexpected way I never expect a penalty in the match.

Yes you are right , no body expected it and the win is worth celebrating. It would have been very hard for Liverpool to win if not for the penalty,  Liverpool used their chance very well by not missing the penalty. Chelsea was tough to Liverpool and didn't give any spcae to score ,Liverpool were happy to score a goal through penalty.
I agree with you that nobody expected the outcome of the game to be a penalty shootout. The game was indeed a final nobody want to make any careless mistakes all the players gave their best but you know in football ⚽ especially the final there must be a winner. Congrats to Liverpool for the victory.

Liverpool have another match absent again and they will play it some time in the future. For now, their main focus is to defeat West Ham in Anfield in a week. They are going to play their match before Manchester City too which is a good thing for Liverpool. Because Liverpool would like to win this match and cause Manchester City to be under pressure against Manchester United in the derby match. But as Manchester United have been not very credible these days, Manchester City still have the upper hand on them too.

Sorry for being late, but Liverpool deserves be the champion of the cup of the league. You cant deny the goal they erase for Liverpool made by Matip for a non sense VAR OFfside of Virgil Van Dijk.

In other news, like i said before Bielsa its gone from Leeds the fans still love him like all the teams he has managed.

Cristiano seems fall into the dark hole its for years the Man United they detroy all the players in the past years. Like Pogba Cavani Van de Beek etc.

I agree, it was odd as a minimum, and also stupid not to count the goal because of a player offside who didn't actually touch the ball... It was still a tense match, like liverpool constantly attacking and chelsea being under pressure, but at the same time chelsea also played well, but liverpool picked up their win. By the way the penalty shootout was very long, I thought it would never end...

The Carabao Cup was one of its kind after a tough struggle between Chelsea and Liverpool which ended in a goal less draw and resulted to a 10-11 penalty shoot out giving Liverpool a well deserved win. Liverpool made the game an interesting one afterall. No one will deny Liverpool deserve what the got they play for a straight win but luckily the won through penalty shoot out

Liverpool's luck is endless, During the penalty shootout, I was worried that Liverpool would miss, but it was the Chelsea players who failed to score in the penalty shootout. The premier league is always full of surprises, especially in every meeting between Chelsea and Liverpool, they always present the perfect match.

Manchester United are going to struggle in the remaining time of the season a lot as it seems. They gave everyone hope after winning two weeks in a row in the Premier League. But all that effort was in vain in the Watford game. They took control of the game and found so many goal opportunities. But they wasted all of those opportunities very generously too. What a poor result from them! I didn't like especially Fernandes' performance. His being selfish hindered his team from scoring an easy goal.

Maybe Rangnick using a different strategy to on-front players for not giving a ball to Ronaldo if they have the opportunity to shoot on goals.
If Rangnick really uses the strategy as you said, I think it is a big mistake. Ronaldo is a goal machine in every team he played, just look at how many goals he scored every season previously. It is very unfortunate if Rangnick doesn't want to take advantage of the big skills owned by Ronaldo in making scores. One of the reasons to bring Ronaldo to Man United is to have an experienced central forward in making goals. Ronaldo is a perfect central forward to make many goals for Man United. Now, it is about how to deliver good assists to Ronaldo, then he can be easier to make goals.

I think label with goal machine for Cristiano Ronaldo on very team he played have been over and now is not his era any more. With over age almost 38 years old Primer League ia not as matching competition for him, need full working if want to be success on Primer League not only asking for creating goal, Cristiano Ronaldo need to help his friend team how can keep help on defensive area. I tjink with Cristiano Ronaldo present close for young player ahow their talent and scoring goal for Manchester United.

I had wished that Chelsea Fc would have won this one. No doubt both teams gave it there vest from the very first8nute up to the extra times. The penalties were beautifully played and you could see all the players not willing to loose their shots. It was such a tensed moment and one penalty that held me in awe was that of Jorginho , despite that he was the last man, he took his shot without any sign of pressure and still found the net. It was Awesome until it came to Kepa's turn to take the shots. So disappointing and you could almost tell that, that was the game changer. It shouldn't have been him, not at all!

Today would be all about celebration for Liverpool. It was expected that no one will let his sides defense be open and each of the teams had their fair share of possesing the ball. Mendy really came through for the Blues, stopping shots from the likes of Salah, Mane and the rest.
Indeed,  Chelsea were worthy opponents against Liverpool but at the end, there is only one winner. Should the coach be blamed for his poor error in judgement by removing Mendy during the penalties? I just think it was a much deserved win despite the change.

I have heard supporters discussing and arguing that Mendy would do better at the penalty kicks and maybe that would have been the difference but all together it was a fit team together. I enjoyed the players kick and all 10 players from both team scored their kicks only the Chelsea keeper that played his above the bar and giving the winning finally to Liverpool.

Manchester City really needed this win after a very unexpected loss against Tottenham. They still had a hard time beating Everton maybe but winning was the most important part at that point. Manchester City really feel the absence of a natural striker from time to time. Foden was the centre-forward for them but he still scored the goal though. He was aware of his surroundings and didn't miss the chance of benefiting from the big mistake of Everton defense. Manchester City are six points ahead of Liverpool again but Liverpool have one game missing too.

Great job Liverpool I am really happy about the scoreline what a tragedy for Chelsea I think the coach is to be blamed, you take away mendy only to replace him with kepa, then kepa couldn't save a single penalty although Liverpool's keeper couldn't save alot of penalties him self but what's annoying is that Kepa was the one who missed his penalty I don't want to be hard on him but I think Mendy would have done better than Kepa here, at least you would not play that much penalty without Mendy Saving any one of them.
It was the usual  game plan of Chelsea to substitute Mendy and bring in Kepa for penalty shootout who they believe is a penalty stopper, however it backfires in today's match, in my own point of view I don't expect Kepa to concede as many as 11 goals in that shootout unfortunately losing the last kick, a good penalty specialist ought to have made saves within the first five kicks.
Congratulations to Liverpool for winning this year Carabao's Cup after a thrilling and entertaining 120 minutes of play with both team playing attacking football with full of missed scoring chances.

Well actually Kepa seems to have better statistic on saving penalties therefore Mendy was subbed out and its a penalty so thats literally 50% chance for either team to win. There is no reason to blame Kepa for that because Mendy probably would be in the same situation as Kepa, its the final and there is alot of pressure on you especially when you are the last penalty taker

Yes, it's great that they haven't lost a match for a long time, they didn't start well at the beginning of the season. The next games will be very important, I think they can play well against City. If they can find positions like yesterday and have some luck, they can win this match.
We will watch one of the most important matches of this season Smiley

OMG. How many chances and all of them were missed. It was not only Ronaldo or Fernandas but other players from the team. Its not only from Man Utd, even Watford had almost 3 chances to shoot  but they too missed. Is it that the pitch was the issue or issue with players' performance. Ronaldo did pass well to Fernnandes but yes he really tried his best but to his unlike, could not make it through. Even Telles had a chance but the ball turned and went went out of goal post. Almost everyone was disappointed.

If I had bet on this match, I would definitely bet that more than 3 goals would be scored. Good thing I didn't play, if I watched this match live, I would have had a nervous breakdown and would have been hospitalized Cheesy
It was the most missed game I've ever watched. The players are the best players in the world, I don't understand how they miss so many opportunities. It was a really sad match for Manchester fans

You don't blame the coach for a decision he has used severally and has worked for him. Kepa is the best keeper when it comes to penalty in the premier league and Chelsea history as a whole. Today wasn't just his day. Infact today wasn't just Chelsea day as you can see all the chances we missed in the first half and cancelled goals due to offside in the second and extra time.

Kepa got played by the fans, usually he's the one playing the mind game but it  was his turn to receive it today. Lets not forget also that kepa don't have good record at Wembley Stadium. Last time he was here he refused a substitution and ended up losing that game as well. When it comes to penalty, kepa is our go to keeper, some days are like this so let's not blame anyone here.

Well penalties on after 0-0 draw between Chelsea and Liverpool although I am still waiting to see more analysis about the VAR decision to rule out Lukaku's goal on extra time.
Penalties 5-5 and still counting, waiting to see the winner Grin

Edit: 9-9, oh boy this gonna never end!
as usual, chelsea vs liverpool is a very tense match, score draws -> to a penalty shootout due to equal strength is really good entertainment

I did lose on this bet (I chose chelsea) but I am satisfied because this match was very exciting. Congratulations to Liverpool
