In my opinion, French fans expect too much from Mbappe, they expect Mbappe to show performance like during the World Cup where France won the World Cup 2018. Although Mbappe is not a bad player and he belongs to the top players for now, he actually had a bad Euro. His performance is under expectation from Deschamp, himself and fans around the world. Mbappe can do better and I think he conflict with Giroud affects his performance.

I also disagree with how he argued against Giroud. He should know Giroud is the second best scorer in France national team. He only stays behind Thiery Henry, the best scorer ever in France history.

It is not easy but that decision can be from Mbappe intention as well. He has never been recognized as one of best penalty kickers in soccer. I am not sure what are reasons behind the position of Mbappe in the penalty shot in that match. Is it from Deschamp or from the demand of Mbappe?

That is going to be rough for PSG and they will be very upset and many fans (not just psg) will be mad as well.

A player who worths that much should at least tell the team he doesn't want to be there, it is simple to just request a transfer, many players have done that so far, staying like you belong and then leaving at last second is a tricky situation.
