I haven't been following what's going on in Liverpool that much, but is there any reason why Georginio Wijnaldum's contract was never extended in Liverpool and therefore ending up in PSG as a free agent?

The guy has been on fire in this Euros competition with 3 goals in 3 games. That from a midfielder is astonishing. Liverpool must be cursing themselves for not keep him.
It sometimes happens that players play better for their national teams than for the clubs they play for. It looks like some kind of paradox, but it really is. I don't think Liverpool is worried about this, Klop has enough strong players in every position, and maybe he just does not fit into Liverpool's model of play. There can be many reasons.
Last season also Georginio Wijnaldum looked impressive for Liverpool but was only plagued by injuries so he didn't play more but Klopp must have a better plan or it's true that you said he didn't match his performance even though in the EURO 2020 competition he looked stunning with 3 goals in 3 appearances but I don't know if it's official or not, it's clear that Klopp has new plans for Liverpool this coming season.

I say this is not self-deprecating that Liverpool midfielders have a lot of quality and this will guarantee Liverpool after losing Georginio Wijnaldum nothing will change meaning the midfielders stay strong and operate.
But indeed, I think Liverpool can extend his contract for at least another 2 to 3 seasons. I think Wijnaldum is still very good for Liverpool. Considering that he is still 30 years old, he is still a productive age in the EPL but yes, maybe Klopp prefers Thiago Alcantara who in my personal view is still not suitable for Liverpool and yes, hopefully this will not be a blunder.

He is not a kind of Lampard or Gerrad who can score hundred of goals in all career.
If we look at the list of goalscorers in this season's Euro Wijnaldum, he is in 2nd place with 3 goals.
Against North Macedonia, Wijnaldum was voted the 'Star of the Match' by UEFA's official panel. Maybe he can't be like the liverpol legend but I think he can be an important player at Liverpool.

@OcTradism Wijnaldum is a talented player and I believe he has lots of potential to become a great player, but only time will reveal whether he performed consistently or no. @Luzin he was a Liverpool player, and now he’s sealed his transfer to PSG and it’s a disappointing move cause he chose to play in a easy league.

Georginio Wijnaldum is a very talented player. PSG's forward is very strong. With Georginio Wijnaldum in the team, their midfield will become stronger. The PSG team will be more stable and strong next season. They have not won a title this season. They will definitely want to win the Ligue 1 title next season.

Wijnaldum is not an important player in Liverpool. He has to share his position in the squad with other players and perhaps it is reason he left the club. In Liverpool, he scored some important goals for them but he is not a goal-productive midfielder. What you see in the Euro is a short show from him.

Liverpool have interest in Adam Hlozek, He is from Czech Republic and currently in Sparta Prague. He got the premier league attention after ending the 2020/2021 season with 15 goals and 9 assists from 23 appearances for Sparta Prague. He is a young talented player and I hope Liverpool sign him. Although, West Ham also have interest in the player.

I did some research about him and it looks like he has a really nice potential. I'm not sure whether he is a wonderkid though. But his performance in the last season was delightful. He is only 18 years old now. Liverpool have only Firmino and Origi as CF. He may be a good alternative in the subs and may even become a player of the starting eleven in the future.

If you ask me Liverpool doesn't need any new players, they just need to stay healthy and they just need to want the game.
I don't think so. Their team looks good but they will need another striker, just to be a good substitution for Firmino or replace him. Diego Jota is not a striker.

They won't need too many new players but need their players as healthiest as possible.

Quote
Their team was amazing with the same roster in some games and then it sucked with the same players in some games, the bad part about this season was that they had like 5 or so game losing streak, that is not something Liverpool does very easily, at least not in the recent years, I mean think about it, instead of 5 losses in a row, if it was 5 wins in a row they would have been 84 points and right behind city with one game difference.
Their main problems came from many injuries that they need to avoid in the new season.

^  I think they do imho.  But not because I think the players aren’t good. They need to freshen up their squad and bring in new faces every couple of years or so.  Most clubs become stale and under perform if the club doesn’t bring something new in their squad.  Best example:  Poch’s Spurs to an extent.

Liverpool will still sign 1-2 players, but they will first want to sell some of the dead wood.
CB positions are good, we are a bit thin on the fullbacks and in attack. Midfield will hold but I'd definitely prefer another player to join - Gini was always fit and available.

I think we'll see 3-4 players leaving first (Minamino, Origi, Shaqiri + 1-2 more) and then 2-3 new ones arriving. We will be contenders again next season.

I am not saying they should have won it all, but the difference of those 5 games made was staggering in the end. Which is why instead of getting new players and change what already worked, they should focus on why last year was bad, and how they could become consistent with their wins once again.

ofcourse, if Liverpool is able to acquire more 3 signings this transfer window, three solid subtitude to the three wise men,Salah,Mane, and Firmino, I think Liverpool will be good contenders for the tittle once again.

Klopp’s Mighty Red Men are coming back to take the crown this season. Van Dijk & Gomez are back fit, Konate has been signed with a couple more hopefully. I am convinced Liverpool will push hard for the title. All the injuries we suffered & we still came 3rd. With a fully fit squad we will be right up there.

When things got bad for us after those injuries started popping up here and there starting from VVD, I kept telling myself and everyone else who took a swing at us that the injuries we survived played a major rolein undermining our epic fall from top of the table to down before finishing strong at 3rd position closer to the last few games kf the season. I'm glad that we have VVD, Gomez and Konate is our squad for next week. Now we just need to figure out a way to start scoring more than we did in the last season. Our once lethal frontline had a hard time trying scoring goals. We'd have to wait and see it plays out in the end.

Until then, I'm still a fan and would always be because my blood is rest.

I believe despite Chelsea taking the champions league from City,City still have the driving force to defend their premier league tittle considering the kind of quality they have in their squad. No team in the premier league has a better squad than City, and knowing fully well that the premier league is quite different from Champions league, very competitive and combative. So I believe City might just still retain their tittle.

What if they get hit by serious of injuries in the middle. Some of them to key players and long term one? Do you still thinks the same. See anything could happen. You might think they will be able to retain the title at one point without some things unconsidered. In a long title race anything can happen, we already saw Liverpool's last season for example.

They need to get back Van Dijk because management still not confident and give more money for Klopp to buy new and potential player, I think Liverpool can get Sergio Ramos sign during that player is free transfer, just give contract two years and will bring more safety on defender area for Liverpool, but depend with management looks never wanna give more money for Klopp.
Have you forgotten that Mancity's bench is even more better? No amount of injury can hit them and they will be short of players. In almost all the wings, there are two players competing for starting spot, although Liverpool might want to revive their spirit this season by adding more two or three players to boost their confidence once again, but I think Mancity are too good to retain the tittle.

It is not easy to convince dortmund right now, they could just wait one more season and get all the teams financially ready to battle for him, they are not in a rush to sell him right now. Is 150 million a good number to sell Haaland? Definitely a great number but next season when all teams are out of this seasons financial trouble, could he worth even more? He could, that is one more season of Haaland on your team and maybe 50+ more million in your bank as well, that is really not something you could just ignore.
Chelsea can't get mbappe I agree with that, Real Madrid is pushing hard for him and whatever the price is if PSG is willing to sell then Real Madrid will be willing to buy him, of course not for 500 million or some stupid number but I think they are ready to pay 200 million or so for him, but Haaland is not wanted by any other team then Chelsea right now.
Most likely, Real Madrid will really make the main bid to get Mbappe, and then it is unlikely that it will simultaneously claim Haaland. It is not necessary that Haaland will be in Chelsea, because it seems that Pep Guardiola's Manchester City also had their own views on the player, especially since the soap opera with the alleged departure of Messi is already ending and the Argentine player seems to have decided to stay in Barcelona. So I would leave City as one of the main contenders for the player, although Chelsea is also a serious contender.

By having all of the important players as fit, I also think that they will have a much better season than before and make people forget about the last season. Liverpool have one of the best lineups in the EPL normally. They just struggled with injuries too much and it affected the players mentally too.
