Liverpool couldn't make use of so many goal opportunities against Leeds. And Leeds really shocked them by the goal they scored in the 87th minute. I'd like to add that Salah missed too many goal chances. West Ham also lost to Newcastle 3-2. It's a big opportunity for Chelsea to take even the 3rd place as Leicester haven't played their game. I think Chelsea will defeat Brighton today.

Yeah, they always saw themselves like this I guess and part of the problem with London clubs is they feel like they need to be big in style and splash things out. I still think Mourinho was a good choice but not better than Poch, but you can't run clubs with good managers if you don't also buy into their styles and management philosophies. Which is the case of clubs like Spurs and Newcastle for example.

Anyway did some digging and it's interesting to know that most of these clubs signing up for this competition could be in it for the money thanks to their huge debts...
Passed the nitty-gritty of the competition what I dont like about this localized version of the champions league is viewership will change, it will be different from how we watch Epl matches and the alike and all we shall be having are post match results, NO TO ESL!!

The debt pressure can be reasons for the Mourinho sack. Levy spent too much budget for Spurs and transfers in some recent seasons. The debt creates pressure to go far in competitions, leagues and win trophies. Levey signed a big contract with Mourinho with the same hope that he will help Spurs to win Premier League, Champions League but nothing after 1 season and a half.

I disagree. Coaches can not play on behalf of players and can not control every moments in matches. Players can make mistakes that cause a draw, a loss. Spurs is the club that lost many points after score first and end the first half with leading goals.

It can be a fault from Mourinho but can also be faults from players. It is same for goalkeepers who can easily to be blamed with conceded goals. In fact the defense system and many team mates have to be responsible for conceded goals or shots on target from opponents.

The football change a lot and directors in past few years are not patience as in the past. Tuchel brought PSG to Champions League final match and was sacked a few months later. Mourinho and Spurs began the first half of this season very well and now he was sacked. The same sad story for Lampard in Chelsea.

Solskajer is very lucky as he got patient and good support from Manchester United director boards.

IDK what happens to Liverpool, I can't remember when they were in such a subordinate position like tonight in the second half. At the moment they had only 30% of ball possession. We were talking about Liverpool, not Burnley or Crystal Palace.

It will be a very interesting fight for 3rd and 4th place. Five teams in just six points, I don't think Leicester is safe on top 4.

Yes you are right, Leicester have some tough matches ahead like against Man United, Tottenham and Chelsea While Liverpool against Man United in the 34th match
Liverpool should benefit from this condition to have a lot of easier matches but sometimes they are unstable something surprising happens often.
After all I want to see Liverpool in the Europa League next season.

Spurs showing Mourinho the door has been a long time coming. I was even surprised that he was still in charge despite the poor results over the past 2 seasons. Spurs has a well packed squad of which Mourinho has been unable to put into good use. Look how far they've come this season, not good. I wonder who would be the next coach and I hope he can get it down if Spurs is still a part of the Premier League.

Quite unfortunate for Liverpool. I thought we had it under wraps until the 87th minute where Llorente pulled Leeds level. Well, we don't have anything to fight aside from 4th position which still looks uncertain at this point.
