Although Chelsea won the game against Brighton yesterday, I feel there's still a lot of work to be done. Most of the players yesterday had a quiet evening, others just weren't in the game. Solid display from Werner though. We should see more from him in the next couple of weeks. First round is a wrap. Thanks to Arsenal, Leicester and Chelsea and yes, Liverpool 😊 for winning me a ticket.

One team I'm concerned about is Tottenham. I don't see much improvement from their last season's performance.

Chelsea played good and so did Brighton. Werner, Mount had a good game. I was expecting a bit more strong debut from Kai Havertz but didn't went as expected - maybe coz of playing in a different position? Or sudden change of play style? Anyway it's just starting and shows he has still to work on. He will improve at point.

Kepa yesterday should have made that save. It wasn't that hard shot to pull off a save. I won't be shocked if Lampard picks Willy Caballero in next match. Right now, Edouard Mendy is also reported to have completed his medical at Chelsea and would be soon announced officially (https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1335463/Chelsea-news-Edouard-Mendy-Stamford-Bridge-transfer-confirmed-announcement) . Now I wonder where the future of the most expensive goalkeeper - Kepa is at?

*Edit* Wolves 2:0 up after 11 minutes that's paid out already, come on Chelsea don't let me down!
2 goals in the first 6 minutes! Sheffield engine didn't warmed by that time!
For Chelsea I don't know but I have a feeling that there will be 3 goals somehow Tongue
So you mean we are going to have 0 - 3 from Chelsea  Wink

Probably because of Chelsea sponsor logo on the jersey. very often they score or get three goals in his net. So, 3 is their number, am also picked 0:3 for Chelsea win  Cheesy
Haha yeah I am referencing to the relation between their sponsor and scoring (or receiving) 3 goals, in today's game Brighton is weaker so assumed 3-0 for Chelsea indeed and lol they did it at the end and scored 3 but received a goal, Chelsea 3 - 1 Brighton Cheesy

Unfortunately, Chelsea winning does not match for the 0:3 winning trains as Arsenal and Leicester did during the weekend, I just have a thought that EPL would have strong battles and competitive games this season with every bigger teams doing perfectly well, Chelsea played a pretty game and I'm sure the blue will compete with either Manchester City or Liverpool for the premier league winner.

There are some new players and they were trying some stuff I supposed. I dont see Abraham or Giroud on the field and Chelsea scored 3 goals without them. Brighton even had higher ball possession compared with Chelsea. This is not one of their best performance but they were not using their best squad yet so yeah you can expect alot from their future game

Sheffield United had a poor performance today which may result to them downing in the relegation zone this season, I expected the game to be a draw match because of both side playing pattern and average team.

Nah, one lose of the season doesnt mean they were going to be relegated. Wolves was also showing quite some potential last season

Damn last night I waited for Tottenham Hostspur to win but in fact losing at home to Spurs is still not good than before, the game has not changed, I know, Mourinho doesn't have any new tactics in the 2020/21 season at the start of the season which is still not good.
I thought Tottenham should have won but Dele Alli and Matt Doherty's chances and two good saves from Jordan Pickford, made a difference. This result is not yet a benchmark for this season, I have noticed that in the early EPL matches the previous season there are always surprises from the underdog tim. I see Tottenham's match played so loosely in the second half there was no such tight precing as fatigue.

It seems to me, Sheffield in this season can be very inconvenient for all predictor. If we know that they can play well like in last season, also today they were almost harmless for Wolves. I expect it to create a lot more problems to the big teams, in relation to matches where they are favourites.

Come on my blue, prove that you all deserve to lift the EPL trophy this season...
in this match vs Brighton, I'm sure Chelsea will get 2 goals. btw, so far only Arsenal and Leicester have won with a good score [3 - 0].
22nd minut and Blues first penalty mean start of new season with penalty is good for them hopefully they will have 3 - 0 result and many will enjoy with this all I have 2 - 0 but look like this is going to be close and exact is going more goals.

Do you think that Mourinho will survive in this team till the end of the year?  - no kidding

I don’t to be honest, Spurs aren’t a great team now. He would need 3 years to build a team & if things don’t go well I’m not sure if he will get the time needed.

Spurs players' body language says it all.  They prolly hate Mou.  I wonder how much his line is at the 'first EPL manager to get the sack' market.  Lol.

OK here is my idea for an acca for tomorrow.

Nice thinking on Newcastle, I took singles on Newcastle, Crystal Palace and CSKA Moscow (all not the clear favorite selections) so very happy with the weekend. I think I am playing with a lot more risk this new season I wonder why, maybe inspired from all the selections you guys share here:)

Crystal Palace is a real surprise for me, did not think that they will win over Southampton, but it happened, Newcastle could be better this season, and will be interesting to see Chelsea tonight, Brighton is a good team, but should not be a problem for Chelsea, if they want to compete of Champion level

Sadly the same old faces failed me as usual, in this case flipping Tottenham.

Same here. Also saw the 2.30 on Leicester and planned to increase my bet size and play it as a single bet but felt confident enough about Spurs so ultimately combined these 2.
There are some teams I can never get correct and Tottenham is one of them. Especially since Mourinho took over, it's basically like flipping a coin.

i don't think Tottenham can easily beat Everton .  Don't forget that Everton is not too much bad team . The team is much stable . i hope the match will be draw by 1-1 . Lets see what will happen.

Everton won the game. I watched it from second half but didn't saw any strong attacks or movements from Spurs. James Rodriguez was playing really well with switching plays and executing long passes so well. Really a good play on his debut. Richarlison had some chances but missed not by much on most occasions. Spurs need to up their game a lot.

I was very busy and not watching the match. Why do you think they lost? And me with them.  Tottenham won the previous four and  the great hope was   they would continue their winning run. Rotten luck or something I don’t know?

it was definitely not rotten luck, Everton was good in their first match this season, and had more chances and better options in the match than Tottenham

must say that i did not expected it as well, but this could be a good season for Toffees, if they continue to play like yesterday and Tottenham had few great seasons, last was an announcement that their great period finished, and this match said that mediocre seasons could continue for Tottenham

I watched the whole match closely . Because Everton has really played a lot better than Tottenham .I personally don't support either of these two teams . But Everton's game has fascinated me . Tottenham played very well in the previous season. But i think Everton will be ahead of Tottenham this season. Because the team is stable and every player tries to give their best afford from their own position .
Everton manager Ancelloti made some good signings  I wasn't surprise with their performance against Tottenham they deserve to win the match and they are one of the few team to watch out for in EPL this season with Leed united,  everton will definitely perform better than tottenham once their new signings plays together for some period of time and the team being cohesive as well as adapting well to the league thus they gonna give the top teams a run of their money.

Why are odds on Leicster rising? Has there been some new injury news or? My multi from this morning has Leicester to win @2.05 and now I just placed another 5 mBTC on Leicester to win @2.30. I know Leicester defense will probably be a lot weaker than usual since they sold Chilvel and they are missing Pereyra, Evans ans Fucs but still 2.30 has a nice value for me. I am even considering adding another 5 mBTC on them after checking the line ups.

Right if you are really feeling it for Leicester Ill take it, along with the other suggestion for Tottenham.

Here we go, use the dota pound.

Well Trofo you were spot on, thanks for the good tip.

Sadly the same old faces failed me as usual, in this case flipping Tottenham.

What a load of rubbish they are and that's my first lost bet of the season.  Smiley
