Actually, I expect Bale to play for Manchester United this season. But good for him, he doesn't need to play golf again  Grin

Mourinho is a tactical manager, his strong point is on counter-attacking. I hate it when Chelsea side (under Mourinho) played so well with this Mourinho signature tactic.
If Bale can fit and play at least 30 matches, I am sure that spurs will be a serious contender for the top 3/4.
I cant wait to watch his first match.
Bale does not seem fit with Solsa's tactic, from my perspective. I could be wrong but Solsa has not shown his main tactic for Manchester United after his 2 years in the club. Bale is not too old, 31 years old is still a good age with a strong player like Bale. His pace can help Mourinho's counter-attacking tactic. I did not feel  surprise when Mourinho accepted the Bale transfer question from Levy very fast. He does like Bale.

Son - Kane - Bale for Spurs
Werner - Ziyech - Abraham for Chelsea
Aubameyang - Lacazette - Willian for Arsenal
Mane- Firmino - Salah for Liverpool
Rashford - Martial - Greenwood for Manchester United
Sterling - G. Jesus - B. Silva for Manchester City

I also expect bale to join Man u, to get extra boost and squad depth for EPL and UCL.
adding bale to current spurs formation will made a good difference on spurs EPL this seasson table.
he had stong point in playing technique, stamina, serve and free kick accuracy.  those are of the player pieces that spurs lacking last seasson.
even though I hated Morinho's tactics, I think Mourinho will adapting the tactics to maximize his abilities if Bale joins the Spurs.

Gareth Bale finally will return to Spurs, first as a one-year loan contract. With Bale, Spurs will have to speedy wingers, he and Son. With them, Mr. Special will build up a classic offense system with 3 players: Kane (striker), Bale and Son as 2 wingers. They remind me about Robben and Duff in Chelsea. Kane is much different than Drogba but he is a top striker in Europe and Premier League.

You would certainly be a good couch I swear. That your three man striker would up the odds for spurs certain. With Gareth Bale and Son as wingers and kane to receive all the crossing. I'm sure he would be fed enough of it and those two wingers are also good at taking chances when they see them.
Everything else is left in the hands of Jose Mourinho though, sometimes he's just good at ruining games for himself.
In fact I don't believe in Jose Mourinho even though Gareth Bale's return can allow the atmosphere in his squad, but Mourinho likes to be stubborn about the current strategy, Son and Bale may be counted on by me and Kane as attackers always remain when there is a cross. good in front of him, still I still lack confidence in Mourinho's current coaching.

Nice. Sergio Reguilon is going to Spurs with his as well. Didn't think this would happen but I guess Real caved and figured they might as well let someone pay a little of his wages rather than keep him on the bench the entire season. I wonder if he'll be ready to play in the game on Sunday. Seems a bit of a stretch but the article says he's flying over on Friday. Spurs probably won't need him for Southampton but losing to Watford last weekend doesn't give me that much faith in them.

I must say Mourinho is playing the transfer game smart. Signing Sergio Reguilon and at the same time bringing Bale on loan from Real Madrid is really smart. Spurs attacking also kinda seemed to have gone off for sometime now. I am glad they brought in Bale to do something about attacking.

Regarding availability I also think it would take sometime to roll them in match. Players have yet to undergo medical, sign their contracts and club has yet to make it official so I think it would take more time so yeah seems doubtful for match against Southampton.

The medical has already been done in Spain, but not having been able to train with the team would be an issue so they probably won't rush him in and then there's his fitness levels, but like I said above it's not exactly a vital game nor should it be tough for them. It will be interesting to see what the details of the deal are and how much he's leaving for. The Standard are quoting Spurs paying 15 million for a year:

https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/gareth-bale-tottenham-transfer-news-latest-real-madrid-loan-fee-wages-medical-a4549781.html

Quote
In any case, it is understood Spurs will pay around £15m all in to have Bale for a year, including all wages and fees for the duration.

That's still a lot of money and works out at well over a million a month so maybe Real will technically be making some money from him this season.

The EFL cups continue today and some exciting matches are packed.

FIRST we start with is Burnley vs Sheffield united
Sheffield united where put to the sword by wolves in their last premier league night, they lost the game by 2 goal without scoring any for themselves, Burnley are well rested and a hard team to beat.

My prediction for this game is both team would score.

+ Wolves vs Stoke: like I mentioned wolves defeated Sheffield united and the are in fine form, did not really lose their good players except dorcathy to Tottenham, still they are in fine form to put away Stoke city. My prediction is a win for wolves.

+ Brighton vs Portsmouth: although Brighton lost to Chelsea they can take positives away from how the attacked the match, the young players where sparkling, if they repeat that they would win tonight match.
My prediction is a win for Brighton.

Funny stuff about Chelsea on their last game was 2 out 3 goals was scored by defenders, its pretty rare though but it happens and most people probably wont expect Zouma to score . He scored one goal for the entire last season and he score one on the new season opening game Tongue

Their next game against Liverpool would be great. I would love to see their best squad against Liverpool. Im not going to lie but Chelsea stands on a great chance to win the Premier League this season ( hate to admit this but this is fact )

Now that you mentioned it ... ironic when you spend 170 million on your offense and then the defenders are stealing them their job  Grin

And yeah, their match against Liverpool is a must watch. Liverpools defense struggling like in the match vs Leeds but now against Chelseas star offense. And on the other side Salah, Mane, Firmino and Co.  ... I am not expecting this match to end without both teams scoring.

Aubameyang is a world class striker, there is no doubt about that. I do wonder though what is realistic for Arsenal this season, I think to aim for a top 4 place is the best they can achieve, even then there are definitely better teams than them in the PL. They need to get back into the CL so Arteta can take them to the next level.

Aiming is easy but achieving it is hard. There are lot of difficult teams out there. Arsenal is not the best but I think we are not that bad either. Finishing top 4 would be wonderful after what shit went down in last season. With Arteta there is a little bit of hope of finishing better as he is making the right choices. He has got everything he needs in team. Since the slate is clean with new season start, can't wait to see how Arsenal under Arteta performs. Arsenal started off great with 3-0 win against Fulham but there is still long way to go.

I honestly do not remember any of Auby from anything before Dortmund. Only thing I remember about him was late stages of his Dortmund career and that's it, nothing more, he became 31 years old as well and going for 32 soon, I believe Arsenal should look at Auby as a way to rebuild. He still could worth a lot, and if you just sell him now, you could get some young players who would be as good or even better in the future.

If you keep Auby, you have a great player but let's be honest they are not going to anywhere with this roster, they are at best fine, they could be top of the table but I do not see them top 4 or anything even remotely close. They will BARELY make it to europa cup if they are lucky but that is about it, they are not going to actually do any better.

I remember when this talented young player sold by AC Milan, when I know Aubameyang has been sold, I feel if it will become the big mistake for AC Milan, and yes its true he become a wonder kid for Arsenal. Aubameyang just needs time and chance to play to adapt with AC Milan senior team, but Milan prefers to sell him.
Aubameyang did not play well in the past (in AC Milan). He only shown his good pace and nothing more (I could be wrong). There are some players who are only affordable to play good in particular leagues. I can name some legendary players who failed in Serie A but became Legendary in other leagues:

- Henry, Bergkamp: became legendary in Premier League
- Roberto Carlos: became legendary in La Liga.

AC Milan did lose their patience and believe in Aubameyang but possibly he is affordable for Bundesliga and Premier League.

He improved his skills so much. Do anyone of you remember days when Aubameyang play in AC Milan?

He improved his skills so much. Do anyone of you remember days when Aubameyang play in AC Milan? After he moved to Dortmund and after the transfer of Lewandowski, Gotze, he became a main striker of BvB. In those seasons, he relied too much on his pace to score but now in Arsenal he can score fantastic goals like Henry in the past.

He is still fast but does not rely on his pace like the time he was in Dortmund.

Arsenal's captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finally penned down a three-year contract extension.

He is the best player Arsenal have. It was already clear that he was gonna sign extension for Arsenal. He love playing for Gunners and all he did was ask a bit rise in pay which Arsenal provided. Glad that he came down and put his pen on his contract extension and deny all transfer talks linking him to other teams - Inter Milan and Barca.

Lampard has spent over 200 million pounds in one transfer window. He should be expected to compete immediately, he’s not going to be allowed to fail, he spent loads. If he fails he will be sacked.
I think it's too difficult if the club wants to win the EPL this season, Lampard has just become a coach. We know that last season Lampard started his coaching career when he handled Championship Division club Derby County in the second tier of the Premier League. Lampard has a very good history at the club, he's a legend. But as a coach he is new and I think he needs more experience. Everything can happen, including the EPL champion if this happens then it is extraordinary. The problem of being sacked, I think this could happen but given Lampard's plans to sign young players and have a youth team, he should have more than one season coaching Chelsea.
