Premier League season is starting on Saturday  Smiley

How do you guys position your bets for the first matchday? I set my bets as follows and I would like to here your opinion.

Fulham vs Arsenal # win of Arsenal @ 1.58
Liverpool vs Leeds # over 3.5 goals @ 2.33
Tottenham vs Everton # double chance Everton @2.11
Brighton vs Chelsea # win Chelsea @ 1.69

Its pretty hard to pick a winner since lot of teams have changed and would wait this round and see how teams perform this round and get into betting action from next. Most of teams have changed and would see how they settle in with new changes in squad. Maybe I would bet few in goals market in some matches but I wouldn't go for ML this round.

Chelsea are building a really good team. I think with so many new faces though it’s going to be difficult to gel & become a real cohesive unit straight away. It’s going to take them a while to peak, plus I’m not sure how good Lampard is as a manager. He has spent a massive amount so he will be expected to deliver results straight away. I think they will finish 3rd.

This season is going to be interesting. Obviously the top 2 I think will be the same as last season but not sure of the order. Chelsea will all their tops signings may push them for a while but can't see lampard out witting Pep or Klopp. Fancy Chelsea to lift 3rd. Then there are a host of teams fighting for the 4th spot. Man United, spurs, arsenal, possibly wolves. Think Leeds will surprise some people this year and push for top 6 but will be interesting to see if Bielsa burns them out as the pace in the prem is much higher.

Chelsea is building a good and young team.
It would be a difficult season for them in order to build their bonds this season.
The results of this signings might be visible from the next season and who knows why not winning the EPL title in the end.
yeah, I’m very optimistic about this team. The team management rearrange the team well. The players in the team are new. They are not yet familiar with each other's playing strategy. But still I think that, they will be able to hold a good position in the ranking this season.

Judging based on reality of things, i think it is safer to play a double chance in the game between liverpool and leeds, as well as chelsea match against brighton. Both matches looks likely to end in a gg (goal.goal) and a high scoring draw. Only Arsenal stand a  proper chance to start the league with a victory. It will be an exciting first week in the barclays premier league.

If anything, they are a bit overhyped IMO. I still see them as 3rd, but not close to challenging City or Liverpool.
Their quality is really good but it takes some time for the team to gel, find playing patterns and incorporate new players into the team.

Remember Liverpool with Robertson and Fabinho? They did not play for months after joining because Klopp wanted them to understand his gameplan to perfection.

These 2 are complete teams, with small changes and perfect harmony. Chelsea can be that if they do click, if they don't - they can become United from the start of last season.

You just said what was on my mind. Chelsea might have a solid and packed squad at the moment. However, it won't make sense if these players don't understand the game plan, understand themselves and play as a team. That's one of the reasons why Liverpool and Manchester City have dominated the premier league for the last couple of years now. I won't say anything more until after a couple of weeks into the new season. The premier league would be more excited if more than 2 teams want to win the league title for themselves. Let's see if Chelsea would join the race.

I think Chelsea may be the overlooked team this season. Could even see them doing better than Liverpool. I certainly think they'll be in the big three along with City.

Lastly Liverpool and Manchester City will be foolish if they expect to win the league easily, because I’m expecting lot’s of competition for them, and more entertaining matches for the fans.
I am pretty sure that both Liverpool and Manchester City never think that the Premier League is an easy competition to win. All people know that the Premier League is the most competitive league in the world. All the teams that are involved in this league should realize the big challenges and hard matches during the season. That's why even Man. City or Liverpool are already had top players, they still try to buy other top players in the transfer season. They know that in the next season they may have harder/difficult opponents.

I agree that the Premier League is the toughest competition compared to other Europa Leagues. So I'm sure all the big teams at the Premier
League will always be alert and give their best whoever the opponent. Although the first week matches some of the big teams will be facing
small teams, I'm sure teams like Manchester City and Liverpool will use the first squad. Therefore, every Premier League match is very interesting
to watch.

No team expects to win the league easily. we all know that EPL tends to be very competitive. If a team makes any mistake, they will be out of contention to win the title. You are right that Tottenham, Arsenal and Leicester is not bad team. But man, city and Liverpool are much better than these three team.  They have some world class legendary footballer. On the other hand, Man city's coach is Pep Guardiola. we all knows about his abilities. So, if man city will not make any mistake in match, I hope they will able to the champion.

Spurs is always a good team, whichever season we are talking about, and we made the mistake (or our board did) to think that when we were finally finishing in top 4 spots we had it in the bag. It is very sad that clubs are now forced to make financial considerations to SURVIVE and not to just be famous and win things. Which is the problem of Spurs because of our stadium. We now have to wait for another generation of Harry Kane or something, but when we have Mourinho I do not know what to think of our future,,, it needs to be a whole philosophy from manager to sporting director to players and even to fans to bring about lasting glory.
With Jose Mourinho as manager I really think it is possible for spurs to start dreaming again, from the few signings he had done this summer you can see the club is really heading the right direction. The players signed are very disciplined and hardworking types which is typically a Jose Mourinho kind of players, he's trying to instill stability to the team which I see is the best way the team ought to be before we can consider them vying trophies again like we saw with the team under Mauricio pochettino.

I'm really sweating heading to the 20/21 premier league as media and everyone around the world now are indeed put a special attention on chelsea as they got 5 exciting signing. I'm a bit worry once they failed to deliver everyone's expectation , the whole world would surely condemned.

Still i believe in frank who has a big plan , a long term plan that looks like trying to build a bond between players and the love of the club.

He try to instill a loyalty in every single player which that's what makes me loving frank more! It's indeed a big project. The next drogba, terry, lampard, hazard is yet to come.

Obviously you are talking about the 2019/2020 season. It is history, it doesn't have to mean that next season will end the same way.
For example, many teams now will play differently against Liverpool. Some weak points were seen on the Liverpool team, and many will try to take advantage of it. I don't believe they can repeat an unbeatable season again. A similar thing happened to the Man. City, where they had more defeats than Man United in the previous season.
I think Man. United and Chelsea and maybe they are underrated. I expect them to complicate the fight at the top of the table, very likely Arsenal also.

I put some small bets nothing too crazy, just for the sake of fun and not printing money though.

It's a fair bet although I do think that it's a long shot for a team like Leeds. I mean, We've more teams like Tottenham, Arsenal and even Leicester on the waiting list. I didn't even mention the likes of Wolves. The premier league starts in about a week. I'm looking forward to Liverpool's first game since we're playing against Leeds. I'd like to see what the hype about them is about. EPL is not like championship. No child's play here.

Yeah guys, plenty of time to join the Sportsbet pool. I promise, the discussion there is of very high quality, as is the competition...

Champions League? Really? I'm a Leeds fan but I think just staying out of the relegation zone is going to be a massive achievement. This isn't the glory days where we grew up with them in the PL and challenging for things back in the early days. All Leeds is is a name right now and to an entire generation they're just an an average Championship team as they've been out of the PL for 15 years. They need to earn their status back which isn't going to be easy. Bizarrely though they're seventh favourite to win the league: https://m.skybet.com/football/premier-league/event/25422280

Hard to believe they're above Leicester, Wolves and Sheff United. Heck, and all the rest.

Yeah, that's definitely the bookies seeing a lot of interest from Nostalgia gamblers -- I'll put my hands up and admit I'm one. My heart of hearts, I don't seriously think of them as CL material just yet, but they could pull of what Leicester did IF they can survive the shock of Prem League in their first season back. Even so, staying 2 or 3 seasons up doesn't mean a thing every reboot as Watford and Bournemouth proved, who both lasted five amazing seasons but eventually just ran out of ideas last one.

Season before last Leeds were flying for most of the start but couldn't maintain their stamina in the final bit of the season, and we only need to look at Norwich to see what a jarring shock it can be to enter the Premier League after a time away...

You are wearing their signature  Tongue . I put some small bets nothing too crazy, just for the sake of fun and not printing money though

Why thank you! I look at Sportsbet specials a LOT, but didn't see this in futures immediately. I always put a few beer money bets like this and then end of season I either get a lot, or forget I even had anything;)

Are you betting that Leeds will finish in the top four? You are sure? They are a club that gets promoted, staying for more than a season is pretty good, I'm not sure, but anything can happen. I think the top four will still be handled by City, MU, Liverpol and Chelsea. They have funds and good players from Leeds. Apart from that I think there are Arsenal and Tonthem who can make the top four.

I just want to see another crazy season where the underdog wins the league or atleast shocked the whole league with their existence just like Premier League 2015-2016 . It kinda feels good to watch the game if you have some small bets on it, I love the suspense of watching 90 minutes for those team to win

Well Leicester was out from The Premier League for 10 years before they won the league at the second year after being promoted to it. They were over 15th on the first season after promotions IIRC ( 17th ? )

Oooh, why not? What are the odds and where can I find them haha!

This could be another year for them to shine though. Obviously I have high hopes for them, I even bet on Leeds to finish up top 4 for small size of bet  Tongue Just for the sake of fun. They might not be the underdog that probably will win the Premier League but atleast they have high potential to stay on the Premier League unlike the other promoted teams . My 2 cent of thoughts Wink

Oooh, why not? What are the odds and where can I find them haha! I mean, Champions maybe not, but if we see the Big Six fumbling again (and I have a feeling they will) I don't see why Leeds can't steal a CL spot in their first season up. I do feel they'll be more like Leicester though, almost relegated in the first season before smashing their next. PL is a huge step up, needs orientation.

These two candidates are still able to fight for the English league but we will see how this season the match will go I know the giants Liverpool and Man.city are the greatest EPL teams if only fighting for the EPL for me it's not enough there is still a lot of competition to fight for to be a champion for the team to be the best club, and I can't be sure which of the two is the best will still I they are happy to support when they play with other teams.
