Jonathan Tah? He is strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich. He wants Bayern Munich and they want him as well, all Manchester United did was to inquire about the player, no further advances has been made for him. He was part of the players that helped Bayern Leverkusen win the Bundesliga League Competition last season. I haven't watched him closely so I cannot say what I don't know. I agree with you, Erik Ten Hag needs a strong base to thrive, it was key to success in his first season for the red devils ( Manchester United )
So, that is the problem for Man United because they have to compete with Bayern Munich to be able to recruit this player. Apart from that, Bayern Munich will not give up on making an offer to Leverkusen at a higher price, while Manchester United doesn't seem to be able to make a higher offer than Bayern Munich.
Until now there has been no decision regarding either of them, but I really hope that Man United can finally recruit these player considering that the club really needs a defender.
Manchester United have just completed their deal with the defender from Lille Yoro and his arrival has certainly begun to satisfy Man United in their defense, and Man United have also just extended their contract with Evans Jonny with this they have definitely withdrawn from the race to sign the Bayer defender Leverkusen Jonathan Tah, currently Man United is focusing on selling players who are less competitive to raise money for them to make another transfer because Man United is also not a team that has a lot of money and at the start they said they would focus on selling players and improving the quality of their academy players to be included in the main team.
Yoro's presence certainly brings satisfaction because the young player is very good at defending in his statistics with Lille also saying he is an extraordinary player in defense so now Man United should focus on their midfield and attack line.

They may have lost to Rosenborg, but if you look at the match statistics, Manchester United could not show any presence. Rosenborg found 22 positions, while Manchester United found only 5 positions. Manchester United has been playing mediocre in the pre-season. If these games continue this year, we will probably see Ten Hag dismissed from the team before the end of the season.

I personally also didn't think that the team that won the FA Cup title could be defeated by Rosenborg and I thought that before the match between Rosenborg and Manchester United started, Manchester United would have great potential to beat Rosenborg because of course Manchester United could beat Manchester City as EPL champions, of course that's something. outstanding. but after seeing the match end in Rosenborg's victory, to be honest, I was shocked and didn't expect that Rosenborg would be able to beat Manchester United.

Indeed, if you look at the match statistics, of course Rosenborg is superior and I also saw that when Rosenborg competed against Manchester United, I saw that Erik Ten Hag's troops really had difficulty making attacks on Rosenborg and I was also amazed by Rosenborg's performance which always made Manchester United's defense panic because Rosenborg continued to pressing forward with their attacks. However, it is also a shame that Rosenborg could not take full advantage of the opportunity and actually Rosenborg could have scored more goals if Ole Saeter's kick had not been offside.

Yes, of course, if for example Manchester United makes no progress and continues to lose then of course there is the potential for Ten Hag to be fired, but honestly I hope Ten Hag can improve everything and in the end Manchester United's performance continues to improve.
For me, I really don't think Manchester United would create too much changes this season, though anything can happen but judging from what transpired last season with the team struggling to get a win even when they play at home, I think this Manchester United team has a fundamental problem which has to do with those at the helm of affairs, the club is being run like a business centre and not a football club, and at such may not get the kind of results that the fans are yearning for, and this is what led to the club not being able to make it to the champions League playoff's because obviously they do not have prerequisite players to play them to qualification.  I heard Ten hag have been given huge amount to enter the transfer window and get players, let's just hope the RED DEVILS will get back to winning ways with this set new players coming.

Hopefully Man United won't play that bad when the season starts. And actually in the pre-season match against Rosenborg we saw that Man United did not play with their best squad completely because in that match Man United also gave the young players the opportunity to play. So I really understand these results. But if ten Hag is able to make a good strategy then even with young players he should be able to show a better game than that.

Ha! Nothing is changing at Old Trafford as long as they still employ Erik Ten Hag.

Also, I don't know why you all are taking pre-season results too seriously. It is common for games like this to end in draws or defeats, since they are not playing a full-strength XI. Rather, the objective is for the manager to figure out what tactics will work and not work at the beginning of the season, and which players he should use for that.

If the manager makes preparations about what tactics will be used next season, then the manager should also play his main players, and not young players or second-line players who are played in pre-season matches like this. Therefore, I personally feel that they are not making preparations about the strategy or tactics that will be used next season, but about considering the abilities of the young players in the squad.

So yes, this meant that the results were not optimal even though they only played against mediocre teams but Manchester United still failed to win. But indeed, I also don't take the results in pre-season matches like this seriously, because I also avoid betting on matches like this. But indeed, because they also need to rest and go on holiday, I don't think the manager can force them to keep playing with their best efforts, because it seems like that would also have a bad impact if done in a match like this.

Losing to a team that is not well known at all is of course very embarrassing for a big team like Manchester United at the moment, even though the match was only a pre-season match, but Manchester United should not have lost although fielding young players and most of the second tier players, previously Manchester is actually the favorite able to win over Rosenborg but in fact their lost from a team level is far below Manchester United So far, the pre-season match has been used as a match to test the strategy and mentality of young players, but the defeat against Rosenborg clearly shows that Ten Hag strategy is not very good, although the defeat against We can't use Rosenborg as a reference if Manchester United is still in a bad condition at the moment, but I think it's better for us to judge Manchester when they play an official match against Manchester City at the Community Shield later.

This is exactly what we are talking but some people see it as baseless criticism. This preseason games are not just about the results. It is a game that allows teams to test their tactics before season starts and its results has no any impact. Both teams played well actually but were there any tactics employed by Manchester United better than last season? The answer is obviously NO!

United had the same issues last season. They literally can’t pull down the ball and play through the midfield, they only pass it around the back and then play a long pass that often results to lose of possession. By now, it’s expected of Ten hang to have a defined pattern of playing but nothing actually seems to change for now.
I think that people wants Manchester United to play as best as possible in any kind of match and never do experiment except in training, while the reality experiment must be tried in everything, start from training, friendly match and then the official match if it works.

Expecting a strategy will work after it successfully in training isn't make sense because the pressure is completely different.

I have no issue to see a team lose against weak team in friendly match.
Of course, every MU fan definitely wants to see good results, even if it is in a friendly match or in a pre-season match. It's just that we can't expect much from pre-season matches because they are just matches to test strategies or even test several players who will be used as material for evaluating whether they are worthy of being included in the main squad or not. And it can be seen that in that match, Man United included many young players in the game. And I don't think Ten Hag really cares which team wins. He may only focus on finding potential players who he can place in the main squad. But some people's disappointment is also normal. I might be more interested in making an assessment in this pre-season match when Man United will face Arsenal next week.

It is a norm for folks to pour out their mind on how they feel about what is going on with Manchester united and it is not everyone that will in the same direction because we have different expectations from the club.

What you said is true because friendly matches don't count and learning new tactics or pattern in training will be tested on a live match, if bot you will not look if it will work or not. Also how to close any loop holes or challenge in the new tactics. Experiments are done to get the best results and make corrections.

I'd rather words like, nothing would change with Manchester United as long as Glazers are still with the club. Also, so many players playing for Manchester United without standards, you cannot over look that side too. Having such discussions has been hell tiring lately, why do people see only the bad in what Erik Ten Hag has done for Manchester United?

You could still have the best pre-season and still fumble when the Premier League Competition kicks off. Besides, the squad used to play that game in the first game had to do with majority of young lads from the academy side.

Exactly, while figuring strategies and also look out for players most likely to break into the first team. Same way Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo came through, I believe they'll be having another yougin. One Toby and Harry Amass are most likely to get this first team call up. They have been training with the first team for a couple few weeks.

Enough to discuss this friendly match on which nothing depends and which Manchester United did not play with the main squad, otherwise ten Hag will be fired because of this defeat.

If you want to discuss the result of friendly matches, then at least wait that the team plays them with the main squad, where ten Hag will change only a few players and will perceive these matches as a test of the strength of the team. I see that Manchester United has potential, there is ambition, there is desire, this is a young team that lacks a little experience, besides that they have almost everything they need. Maybe a win over City will give them the confidence they need, I don't think it works that way but I'd like it to.

But in reality he has not been able to make the club's performance in its best condition. But I think we are too early to judge because this is only pre-season and even player transfers have not yet been completed. We'll see when Man United's main squad is there, namely when the transfer market closes and the season starts. But if in the next pre-season match Man United still doesn't show good results, it is very natural that many will be pessimistic about Man United's performance when the season starts.

Pre-season games usually don't have any motivation for the top clubs to win the game. Yes, I agree that in this match both teams gave one hundred percent of their abilities. But this is not the first time a top team from the English league has lost to a mediocre team. I think Manchester United really made this a game to test a lot of different tactics. Rosenborg scored a goal late in the game so I think both teams played very well. But a defeat is still a defeat and Ten Hag also said that this was not the performance United should have.
If Ten Hag has started to realize this at Manchester United, of course he himself knows what he actually has to do before the season actually starts. Because in terms of time, it is still possible for Manchester United to make more evaluations and better strategies to be able to start next season as well as possible. And apart from that, losing in the pre-season match also didn't harm Manchester United even though it could make the mediocre team feel happy and enthusiastic enough to start next season in the Premier League.

If Manchester United had been beaten after performing well, we would not have been so critical. But Manchester United's performance in this match was very bad. Instead, Rosenborg's players performed well. And they deserve to win this match. If Rosenborg had an experienced striker in the attack, Manchester United would have conceded at least 3 goals in this match.

Rosenborg had 54% of the ball. Able to make a total of 22 shots. And 7 of those shots were on target. Manchester United players on the other hand had only 5 shots in the entire match and two of them were on target. Rosenborg's players played very well. And Rosenborg won this match by performing well.

MU again appeared inferior when facing Rosenborg. Despite fielding a team with many great players like Rashford, Casemiro, or Mason Mount,... MU showed an extremely lackluster playing style. It is worth mentioning that MU appeared relatively deadlocked and lacking ideas in attack. The players need to improve a lot to be worthy of the club's stature.

I see two obvious problems in the match in Trondheim. One is that MU players have not reached their best physical condition. Ten Hag's students have just reunited. Second, defense continues to be MU's weakness. The most important thing for Ten Hag right now is to find the hole in the defense and fix it as soon as the season is about to start. If Ten Hag teachers and students continue to maintain this appearance, I think MU fans should prepare themselves for another terrible season. And I believe the MU leadership will no longer be patient with Coach Ten Hag.

Ten hag has been able to convince INEOS that he’s the right man for the job. I think the FA cup win last season against their local rival Manchester City saved him. The management (INEOS) are doing everything to support him at the moment by getting his preferred signings. So far we have witnessed a lot of significant changes going on in the club, from the appointments of leading figures like Dan Ashworth, Omar Berrada and the assistant manager to Ten hag, Van Nistelrooy. To whom much is given, much is expected. So I expect a new Manchester United as the season kicks off.
He was given two seasons, with a lot of opportunities and was protected strongly against many criticisms recent months. His job and coach position are secured by his boss this summer, then he will be given more time to complete his project with Manchester United. The belief on Ten Hag from Manchester United continues to be solid but nothing to be sure that their boss won't change minds if in a next season, Ten Hag and his players can not satisfy quality requirements and expected results from their boss.

Being confident and determinant with a coach and a project is good but putting it on a wrong person won't help to achieve good results at all. Complain anything about Ten Hag now is non sense as he won't be fired this summer. I don't hope anyone to lose his job and don't wish it to Ten Hag, but we need to wait for his performances in a new season.

Next season will be a proving ground for Ten Hag, and it seems that Ten Hag is very aware that this will be decisive for him, therefore he is very serious in making preparations and does not want to wait long to make changes. The progress he has shown seems to be good. He's already got Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro so far, and in all likelihood, a new defensive midfielder will soon be his priority. Though he doesn't have much of a budget but, he has the option to release some of his players to increase the budget.

Now we just have to wait and see, with everything he has already got (and the possibility of other transfers in the future), would that be able to bring Man United reborn and shine again?

Maybe I'm one of the few people who don't believe in Ten Hag anymore but I confess the Ten Hag condition of that time that it's really hard to improve the team's performance to be maximum when some players have to get injured. And now Ten Hag has begun to act heartily in terms of bringing in new players and making a major upgrade on every line that was considered weak last season.
Changing the team to get the best results takes time and this is an effort by Man United management to give Ten Hag a last chance to prove that he can take the team up to a higher level.

As far as yesterday's pre-season matches are concerned, they don't really need to be taken seriously. It's just a regular match to test how strong a young player or a new player is coming in this season, so there's no need to assume if it's a failure.

Ten Hag  is certainly a capable manager and he has been in charge of Manchester United for a long time, although the team has not done well under him in the last few seasons, but he has been given one more season to change the position of Manchester United. There was a good chance he could lose his job this season but with Manchester United finally relying on him, the manager will surely change his tactics and try to improve the team's performance. This season has been a gamble for Ten Hag. If he can show something good this season, Manchester United will definitely extend his contract, but if the performance is worse than in the past, then Manchester United management will remove him from the responsibility of the team.

If am correct, I actually don't understand what you mean by Eric ten hang has been in charge of Manchester united for a very long time, so if I may ask, is two years a very long time? And this season will make it his third year as manager of Manchester united, so it's best you don't exaggerate things, and as for his abilities, no doubt he is a very good coach, and he has proven to be a winner in my own perspective, but this upcoming season is definitely going to define his future at the club, wether they are going to retain his services or not, but if he did much better than last season, I believe that they are going to retain his services at the club.

I have said this before and am still going to say this again, the major problem of Manchester united is not the manager, it is how the club is being structured, they focus more on commercial activities than anything else, till that is amended,  Manchester united will not return to the glory days we all know that they had during the days of sir Alex Ferguson.
