Lots of missed and close chances and the handball -_
The handball is what a lot of people will be talking about for a very long time, for me it was two givable penalties, why it wasn't given is what I don't know, I think the footballing body needs needs to address this issue of handball, when is it and when it's not, because there are games you'll watch and that's two penalties for two handballs, but yesterday there was nothing doing from the referee and VAR, that's inconsistent.
I choose Fabinho one.  Cool
It definitely was Fabinho's, his strike was so clean, though the handball by Arnold few seconds before was the only blemish, but the goal stood, and it indeed would be amongst the goals of the season.

The joke is in the 2nd part of the quote actually, about how they often slip right before the finish line. Historically, Mourinho is awful at predicting the winners though.

I know it's too early to say that, especially before January. Pretty sure Leicester and Sheffield won't be up there in the top six. City and Chelsea would pressure Liverpool and ready to take advantage. Manchester United would still be a joke. However, I feel that this year is Liverpool's turn to be the EPL Champion.

Last night Liverpool vs Manchester city was fun one to watch. I was thinking of City to win and get again to No.2 spot but that didn't happened. Lots of missed and close chances and the handball -_-

Anyway yesterday all goals scored were spectacular. Which one do you think was the most spectacular goal? Fabinho? Salah? Mane? Or Silva?

I choose Fabinho one.  Cool

SFR10 got 6 correct with 4 perfect scores

I got 5 correct with 3 perfect score
Thank you for compiling everything. I should've made real bets instead [congratulations to those that had successful bets]...

VAR is getting on my nerves. Initially, the idea was great but they still have no clue in regards to its correct implementation [SMH] Angry

It was a great week for me in the prediction pool too.
Congratulations, your win, you are lucky with a bet because you believe Liverpool won. I made the wrong decision, City lost to Liverpool 3-1. Previously I hoped Manchester City won the 3-1 match over Liverpool, but that was the wrong decision. Congratulations again to you, and Liverpool have the right to be champions if they are able to maintain their consistency as they are now until the end of the competition.

Congratulations to Liverpool for a 99% chance of winning the EPL title. Just like what Mourinho said as a pundit: "If Liverpool wins the game today, I sink they will win the league."
However, "a slip from Liverpool will always happen." Grin

I don't really think its 99% now, Liverpool's chances to win the EPL is around 75% considering the fact that the first around of the EPL is not yet over. Liverpool has high tendency to draw some games with some of the small teams. This years EPL will be interesting in the second round period, teams at the button of the league table will be working hard not to stay there.  They are gonna give the top teams a run for their money.

This is not a hard prediction, I did the same...
Mou is always a genius Roll Eyes +8 points and +9 with your direct rival is not a hard prediction to make...

Imagine if only Leichester won this afternoon... Another 2016 was around the corner.

What a lousy reason if that's really used to 'justify' their losses. VAR is shit, but you have 80 minutes or so to score a goal. Even if you rule out the first goal, the 2nd, and 3rd is obviously not injustice.

Don't mind them. The match hall where I watched the game with other sport fans. Most of them were shouting for a penalty – which obviously isn't. Man city spent the better part of the game winning possession while Liverpool won the game.

Liverpool were the best team in this match and they deserved the win. Yes there was a questionable decision but Liverpool worth the winning. They were the better team in here.
Anyway, after long day I got a correct multibet finally. I usually lose from very close call like losing in last minutes or the team I was thinking will win me the bet without any doubt they lost and make me lost the entire multibet.

It was a great week for me in the prediction pool too.

You're right. Liverpool was the better them between the two. All Liverpool's goals didn't require the intervention of the referee or VAR. We beat them, cleanly.

Is the premier league already closed?
After just 12 games, most likely not.
I know it's still very early but if Liverpool don't lift this one, then they Never will in a long time. Manchester City were simply out classed. With all the big guns they had in Sterling, Aguero, Jesus, Bernado Silva etc they still could not match Liverpool's goal hunger.

I agree mate, its now Liverpool's title to lose and if they do lose it from here then it will really hurt them for years to come. Leicester City is the surprise so far this season, surely they can't do it again and lift the trophy for a second time?

Great game between Liverpool and Manchester City today, lots of action and some drama, most City players and fans would feel they were undone, but fans on the other side of the divide will see the decisions as fair, as majority of then could have gone either way.
Now, I'm at a dilemma at who Liverpool fans would want to win next week when City face Chelsea. The blues are in very good form, and Liverpool would want some of that momentum quelled, but they wouldn't want City to bounce back either.
The players of course would be focused on Crystal Palace.
Very bad start for City in this season. Today game is not better at all, many missed opportunities, Aguero could be way better...
I think they will prefer City to win since with the actual game play it will not go too far...

Is the premier league already closed?
Yes if Liverpool will continue playing like this  Tongue

The referee made a very bad call when he decided to wave away Manchester City legit call for a penalty when the ball hit Arnold Trent on the hand in the box and that decision is what led to the Liverpool goal. That's some injustice against Manchester City and it seems that decided the game.

There was no bad call, you don't stop a game in motion to go consult VAR, Manchester had all the opportunity to stop the attack from happing but didn't, they also had the chance to clear the ball but the clearance was poorly done and that's what presented Fibinho with the opportunity to strike liverpool into the lead. There were many variables (ball hitting different players) leading to the ball touching Alexander hand and there was nothing he could do to prevent that.  Liverpool deserve the win, just as I predicted a win for them earlier,
I know many might be backing Manchester city but I beg to differ as with the leave of determination the Liverpool team has displayed in the past few weeks Liverpool wins today and wins the league.

To all liverpool fans; today you're definitely not waking alone, go get those 3 points.

My worry right now is the fact Manchester city haven't lost two consecutive premier league games under Pep's management and they'll be playing Chelsea next and our defense aren't that strong and yet to keep a clean sheet away from home. We'll need a miracle to pour this one off. Anyways congratulations to the liverpool fans.

Manchester United managed to get back on track with 3:1 win against BrightonHA .
Marcus Rashford scored 3rd goals for them and he is in great form now.

Manchester United were absolutely brilliant today, each and every player gave his best performance on the pitch, but I felt Fred stole the show with his delightful passes.

Snip

Liverpool are toying around with Manchester City, and if Liverpool players continue scoring like this then I feel they can easily hammer City 5 - 0. I’m disappointed with City’s performances so far in this match, I had thought they would offer Liverpool some fight but they have meekly surrendered this match.
