Liverpool will meet again with Chelsea on Wednesday (08/15/2019) early morning hrs at the Vodafone Park Stadium, Istanbul, Turkey in the European Super Cup. But in this fight Hazard is no longer in Chelsea uniform because he has moved to Real Madrid.
Although no more Hazard, Van Dijk still asked Liverpool to be aware of Chelsea's attack line. He felt the London Blue team had many quality players.

On the other hand Chelsea will be looking forward to gather themselves as a unit. That 4 - 0 lose against Utd in the EPL first match was very much frustrating for them.
Liverpool will clearly head into the game with a superior psychological advantage over Chelsea, as the blues enter tonights match on the back of a 4 -0 loss to arch rivals Manchester United, while on the other hand Liverpool ran out comfortable winners against Norwich.

But nonetheless this is definitely going to be a tough game, as Chelsea played far better than the scoreline suggested on Sunday, let's hope they fix their pitfalls in tonights match, and are able to score goals when the opportunity presents itself.
I think Chelsea would win 2-1 tonight

I think old football players becoming coaches is not a good idea at all, I mean maybe Lampard because he was always a smart player but if you want to look at good coaches you will see that not many of them were star players ever.

Mourinho is known for not played at a major league at all, only trials and so forth, Klopp wasn't a big name neither, even pep was a decent player but not a star, if you want to look at great coaches most of them are players who have retired early and got into coaching early as well because they knew they wouldn't be players wanted at age 35 so they start early, Lampard wasn't like that many new coaches who are seen like promising future will be a let down because they played instead of coaching in years the other ones started coaching already.

I appreciate your smart thinking.
I think so too, that lampard is a good player when he is still playing. And for the coach I don't think it's time yet, but because of the chelsea management's decision to appoint him as the coach to replace Sarri. Surely lampard will take this, so let him now build and how Chelsea in the future.

I agree with you. Also, I do not like when I see football players as a manager. But players like Lampard, Gerard, OGS deserve a chance. especially in the club where they provided most time as players.
no matter what, we have Guardiola, Zidane, Ancelotti ... who were great players and have a great manager career also.

I doubt Chelsea will have a good season

It is still early.
Lampard needs time to build a strong team again. Plus they can't buy players because of a case. Chelsea must always be ready for what happens in the future, and just look at the end of the season. Are your doubts true that Chelsea won't play well this season.

It is early, but it would also be early to say City or Liverpool are going to be the winners but people are making their predictions on what they think is going to happen. I would be surprised if things didn't go bad for Chelsea. No new signings, a new inexperienced manager, and losing their star striker. What could go right here???  Grin I agree it's too early to shoot them down and Lampard and co should be given a chance, but the odds re stacked against them. I'm actually looking forward to the Chelsea/Leicester game and Wolves vs Man United. I think they both could be close but lets see how Chelsea do at home and United away.

Obv Lampard is gonna be given the sack at the end of the season if the mad Russian can stomach Chelsea finishing outside the top 6, around December if he wants to save Chelsea's season and try to finish at the top 6.  Grin

Clearly Liverpool will be seeded.
Because seeing the previous match between the two teams, surely Liverpool will be predicted to win this match. I hope many lampard can rise again because of the big defeat with MU.
I just hope Liverpool players do not get tired and it does not effect the match on Saturday against Southampton. They will have two days rest though. Hope on Saturday they will again go to the ground with full energy.

UEFA Super Cup Final.
Liverpool vs Chelsea.

Get ready for Liverpool. I am very positive that Liverpool is going to crash Chelsea. 3 - 1 very possible. Liverpool is in good shape. They had a flying start in the EPL last week. The team spirit is high of-course.

On the other hand Chelsea will be looking forward to gather themselves as a unit. That 4 - 0 lose against Utd in the EPL first match was very much frustrating for them.

I often say this that Lampard should not immediately become Chelsea's main coach because he is still lacking in terms of experience, but yes all coaches must have felt that. I hope he can quickly adapt and develop as Chelsea coach.

I think that their ban ends in the winter transfer window 2020. Thus they will be able to sign players then, right?
If they do, they will enforce their team with some additional power if it is needed. But right now I think that the team is a good one to compete in the championship title run. They probably need time to find the correct connection between them as they are a new team.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka claimed to be better than Trent Alexander-Arnold as the best right-back English Premier League. Former Manchester United player Paul Parker, who called Wan-Bissaka, the best right-back of the Premier League. Parker also saw that Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold was not as good as the Red Devils signing.

I admit both, Wan-Bissaka and Alexander-Arnold are the best right-backs in the English league. But indeed there are many who judge Wan-Bissaka as the best compared to Alexander-Arnold. Personally, I prefer to see the Alexander-Arnold game. He plays cleverly and quickly. We will look back for the second statistic of the season.

Never come to my mind that I can trash talk Chelsea with this ManUtd team  Grin
I'll enjoy this feeling while it last  Grin

Yeah do that because it won't last long. I doubt United will have a good season. For starters they're no where near City, Liverpool and even Tottenham. If Chelsea (with this squad) could boss your guys around like they did in the first half then just imagine what City & Liverpool will do with the kind of square at their disposal. Chelsea this season has nothing to lose. The little success we achieve, will be praised like we won the whole tournament. You guys should be worries about your fav clubs and not us  Grin.

Man City play Spurs this weekend, very early in the season for a clash of two of the title favourites. It’d be nice to see Man City drop points, nobody wants to see one team win every game. A competitive league is good for everybody, I think City will win though. They always find a way.

I have not seen anything special by Tottenham in the first game. I don't think that they can be the third component and complicate title race between Liv and Mcity. Still can't remember how they are qualified to CL final last year.

Sorry, LFC_Bitcoin I understand you, nothing will change except maybe new Manchester City Stadium name and new sponsorship contract.  Roll Eyes

Looking at how they played against a team like Manchester united (still not a bad team obviously but not as high on anybodies list as Liverpool or city) I doubt Chelsea will have a good season, I am guessing the turmoil in the team last season has moved to this season as well and they have been not doing so well this summer neither, I think they will finish top 10 anyway because we are talking about Chelsea and even though they may not be as good as the teams at the top they would always be better than the teams at the bottom and beat them easily which would give them enough points to be at worst 7th in my prediction but I do not see any top 3 from them let alone a championship this season, its more Liverpool and city era right now and until that is over (god knows when) no other team would really rival them I think.

Mmmm...  There are two managers who got Pep's number.  They are Klopp and Poch.  Sure Man City has a slightly better chance of winning.  But dunno...  As I've said a couple of times in the past:  I fear for City.  Lololol.

I’ll be happy if City lose, the financial doping, FFP cheating, dirty oil money bastards. Damn it, without their oil money & state funded, terrible human rights ownership we’d have won the title by like 20 points.

**Rant over**

I feel you but you should not see the fault in the above things because it was only Liverpool fault that they lost the title last year,Liverpool was 6 points ahead and they didn't manage to stay that way until the end of the season last year.I fancy Liverpool and I think this year they need to win the title.
